"What exactly do you want, Boss?" Liu Da looked helplessly at Liu Yuchuan, who seemed intent on self-destruction, feeling utterly drained.
"I want to see who helped that girl!" Liu Yuchuan gritted his teeth, as if anyone who aided Liu Ru Yan was his sworn enemy.
Mo Wan yawned and watched the farce unfold with exasperation. "Liu Zong, do you want to know who helped them?"
Liu Yuchuan halted his steps toward the second floor, discreetly sizing up Mo Wan. "Do you know who it is?"
Mo Wan nodded. "I do!"
Liu Yuchuan felt himself on the verge of exploding. What was this? Why did it seem like everyone had to be involved? "You know, so just say it!"
Yet Mo Wan acted as if she hadn’t noticed the look in Liu Yuchuan’s eyes, refusing to speak. It was unclear whether she found it amusing or genuinely hadn’t paid attention.
Feigning indifference, Liu Yuchuan asked, "Who is it? I didn’t expect you to be keeping up with this news!"
Mo Wan smiled but remained silent, simply watching Liu Yuchuan without revealing anything.
The two were locked in a stalemate until Liu Yuchuan pretended not to care and left first, muttering under his breath, "Let me know who it is tomorrow, and I’ll cancel their qualification to be my niece's fiancé."
Mo Wan froze, extending her hand in a gesture of regret as she watched Liu Yuchuan’s retreating figure. She felt an overwhelming sense of remorse, wondering if it was too late to admit her mistake.
Regret consumed her now; she particularly regretted it. However, she still had confidence because she hadn’t missed the shy way Liu Ru Yan looked at him. Indeed, she still adored him just as much.
"Ugh, useless! Just a bunch of useless people!" Wang Yang slapped Qin Peng across the face in frustration and almost struck the bespectacled man too but was stopped by Scarface.
Wang Yang didn’t care; all he could think about was how these two young girls were connected to the Mo family.
"Brother-in-law, I don’t know how things turned out like this; we had everything planned!" Qin Peng defended himself pitifully.
He had been bailed out by Wang Yang that afternoon. Although he shouldn’t have been released on bail, the bizarre police station had agreed.
So he followed Wang Yang there. Wang Yang had also sent someone to bail out Scarface and the bespectacled man. When asked how Tang Mu Xuan agreed to the bail, she chuckled lightly. "We’re fishing for bigger prey!"
"How could they be connected to the Mo family?" Wang Yang asked suspiciously, but the bespectacled man kindly reminded him, "Have you forgotten about Lan Ruo Yi’s surname?"

"Let's go, Wang Laoban. Our mission is complete, and I look forward to our next collaboration!" Li Yan understood that further negotiations were impossible, so he pulled Scarface and intended to turn away.
However, Wang Yang would not let them leave so easily. As soon as the two stepped outside, they were struck down, losing consciousness, and were forcibly taken away. Qin Peng left silently, feeling wronged; after all, he relied on Wang Yang for his livelihood, so he knew better than to speak out.
The next day, the four met in the restaurant on the first floor. Liu Ru Yan groggily came down from the second floor, while Lan Ruo Yi watched her intently, and Mo Wan stood by the stairs observing her movements.
Liu Yuchuan had already started cooking in the kitchen. When he saw Liu Ru Yan come down, he gave her a glance before returning to his cooking, silently rolling his eyes at the expressions of the other two.

"Good morning, A Yan! Did you sleep well?" Lan Ruo Yi chirped like a cheerful little bird as she greeted Liu Ru Yan. Last night was the most restful sleep they had since arriving here.
"With Yi Yi sleeping beside me, I felt like I was surrounded by an ocean of happiness; I just couldn't get enough rest," Liu Ru Yan teased Lan Ruo Yi with a smile.
Liu Yuchuan froze for a moment in his apron, while Mo Wan felt like a lost lamb, unsure if she should enter the restaurant at that moment.
Liu Da blinked and glanced towards the shadows where Liu Er was hiding, as if asking: What should I do if I feel unnecessary here?
Liu Er replied, "As long as you know it. Watching those two every day is making me accustomed to this feeling of being superfluous!"
"Um, A Yan," Liu Yuchuan said hesitantly, "our family doesn't have many rules; we just hope you think things through." After saying that, he turned back to immerse himself in cooking again, indifferent to their thoughts.
Yet in his heart, he mused: Lan Ruo Yi's suitor seems quite decent; at least he is sincere towards A Yan—like a brilliant star shining brightly and genuinely—unlike some men who are as hypocritical as dust-covered mirrors!
