She spoke as if she were passing gas, but putting that aside, Sister Na actually shared the same birthday as in her previous life. How complicated could that be? 0

Liu Ru Yan wore a complex expression, her brows tightly knitted, while Lan Ruo Yi remained expressionless. The two of them looked so serious that the others instantly lost their desire to inquire further. 0

It seemed they had been through quite a lot; perhaps it was better to wait a while before asking. 0

Tian Luo thoughtfully gazed at the door of Kong Meng's office. He stood up, brushed off the wrinkles from his clothes, and strode leisurely toward the office. 0

He extended his long fingers and knocked on the door with a rhythmic tap. 0

A beautiful voice came from inside: "Please come in." 0

Tian Luo steadied his nerves and pushed the door open, stepping inside. At that moment, everyone instinctively averted their gaze from him as he closed the door. 0

"Meng Jie, are you going to leave me again?" Tian Luo asked with a hint of grievance as he looked at the woman seated in the office. 0

Kong Meng rubbed her forehead in annoyance, clearly not expecting Tian Luo to walk in. "I don’t understand what you mean!" 0

Kong Meng didn’t admit it, which only made Tian Luo feel more heartbroken. The woman before him had striking features but was cold and indifferent, her mind consumed with work while ignoring those around her. 0

Tian Luo opened his phone's photo gallery and pulled out a picture to show her. "Then what do you think this is?" 0

Kong Meng's eyes narrowed sharply as she shot a piercing look at Tian Luo. "Where did you get this?" 0

Tian Luo never shied away from confrontation. "If Meng Jie doesn’t tell me, I won’t tell Meng Jie either." 0

Kong Meng felt impatient with his childish antics. "You know I hate it when people try to negotiate with me." 0

Tian Luo's heart trembled, but he forced himself to remain indifferent, thinking of his purpose. "It’s fine; Meng Jie has never liked me. She hasn’t liked me since I got involved with you. Being disliked doesn’t matter." 0

Kong Meng frowned sharply upon hearing Tian Luo mention this matter; her disgust was nearly overwhelming, yet she held back her anger and remained silent. 0

Tian Luo had had enough of this version of Kong Meng. He walked around to stand behind her desk quietly, gently caressing the back of her chair as if he were touching her. Not seeing her expression made his heartache a little less intense. 0

Kong Meng felt extremely uneasy; she didn’t like this feeling and thought it left her vulnerable. Yet Tian Luo seemed to revel in it; he had always enjoyed holding her from behind during their intimate moments. 0

She disliked it but knew that looking at his face would make it impossible for her to continue resisting, so she silently accepted it. 0

"Meng Jie, why did you abandon me? Did I do something wrong?" Tian Luo said mournfully, slowly bending down until his lips were close to Kong Meng's ear, whispering softly. 0

Kong Meng felt the warmth of his breath and the familiar scent enveloping her. She closed her eyes and suddenly stood up from her seat. "Enough! Don’t do this anymore." 0

"What’s wrong? Didn’t Sister Meng Jie seem fine last night? Your body certainly enjoys being with me!" Tian Luo didn’t understand why someone who had been lying beside him just yesterday wanted to leave; he wouldn’t allow it. 0

"Don’t forget that we both have our needs; playing with feelings is pointless," Kong Meng couldn’t help but remind Tian Luo, hoping he would understand. 0

Tian Luo paid no attention to her words and walked over to Kong Meng, wrapping his arms around her from behind, wishing he could merge her into his very being. But he couldn't; he simply couldn't bring himself to do it. 0

Kong Meng felt the ache in her bones and couldn't help but struggle a bit. However, the tighter he held her, the more she realized that resisting only made it worse, so she eventually gave up. 0

"I will leave," she said softly, though she didn't know how he had learned of her intentions. "But I want you to know that I will definitely leave." 0

"Why? There's really no need for that. If you don't want me around, I'll move out tonight. But I want to see you!" Tian Luo's words were a humble plea. 0

He hoped that Kong Meng would soften at his request, but he overestimated his own importance. Her voice remained unchanged: "It's not because of you; I've just had enough." 0

Although Tian Luo already knew this, hearing it still pierced his heart, and he couldn't help but feel a wave of darkness wash over him. "Fine," he replied. 0

He then released Kong Meng and strode out of the office with long strides. Kong Meng stood by the window, her expression unchanged as she gazed at the bustling scene outside. 0

With that warm embrace gone, she felt an unfamiliar chill creeping in, even though the heating was clearly on full blast. 0

After leaving the office, Tian Luo headed straight to his workstation, grabbed his things, and left. 0

"Why does Tian Luo look like he's just lost something?" Bai Juan asked Zhang Baofeng in confusion. 0

Zhang Baofeng chuckled and shook his head. "Who knows? Maybe he really has lost something." 0

"What?" Bai Juan stopped typing, her mouth agape as she stared at Zhang Baofeng. 0

"Nothing. Hurry up and write! If you don't finish, you'll have to work overtime!" Zhang Baofeng urged Bai Juan to get back to coding; otherwise, their work would be difficult to complete. 0

Bai Juan had initially been interested in the gossip but lost her appetite for it. Meanwhile, Chen Chao listened thoughtfully to their conversation. 0
