"I can sign. However... I have a few conditions," Lu Fei Fan deliberately left a pause. 0

"Go ahead," Wan Changqing said, stroking his chin. 0

"After this fight is over, I hope to be released from prison," Lu Fei Fan requested. 0

Wan Changqing thought for a moment and nodded in agreement. "No problem. But if you lose any match, this condition will be void." 0

Lu Fei Fan smiled but did not respond. He glanced over the contents of the Death Contract, which essentially stated that life and death in underground fights were at one's own risk, and any injuries or fatalities during the matches were unrelated to the organizers—purely a matter of personal choice. 0

Without further thought, Lu Fei Fan picked up a pen and signed his name on the Death Contract. 0

Seeing Lu Fei Fan's signature, Wan Changqing nodded to Lao Liu, signaling him to take Lu Fei Fan out. 0

Just as Lu Fei Fan was being led away, Zhu Qianba, who had been silent in the private room, interjected with some concern, "Wan Director... this business might end up losing money." 0

"Losing money?" Wan Changqing looked at the shrewd businessman with confusion. He stroked his mustache thoughtfully, unsure of what Zhu Qianba was implying. 0

"Yes," the fat man replied quickly. "This young man seems to have some brains from that chess game last time, but physically he doesn't appear to be anything special. I'm afraid..." 0

Zhu Qianba's meaning was clear; Lu Fei Fan did not seem to have any qualities that warranted a heavy investment from Wan Changqing. Moreover, real combat often differed significantly from Virtual Combat. Many skilled fighters excelled in Virtual Combat but struggled in actual fights. 0

"The reality may not be as you predict," Wan Changqing seemed optimistic about Lu Fei Fan. 0

"As far as I know, the opponents brought by the Xing Luo Chamber of Commerce, Eagle Chamber, and Kuang Tao Prison are quite formidable. I've heard several of them are veteran Fusers," Zhu Qianba had clearly put considerable thought into gathering intelligence. 0

"Don't worry; this matter won't jeopardize our bets with the Warden on the outside," Wan Changqing reassured Zhu Qianba. He clearly intended not to place all his bets on Lu Fei Fan alone. 0

At that moment, the fighting arena erupted into a cacophony of cheers and applause. 0

Wan Changqing and Zhu Qianba hurriedly looked over to see that Lu Fei Fan had already stepped onto the stage to challenge Syle, igniting excitement among the spectators. Meanwhile, those placing bets began pulling out large amounts of cash to wager. 0

Standing by the window, Li Man watched the bustling scene below and then glanced at the glass window across from her. There stood Wan Changqing and Zhu Qianba, likely aware that this fight had drawn considerable attention from many Big Shots. 0

Surrounding them were several private rooms, each occupied by notable figures who maintained a low profile, ensuring their presence went unnoticed. Among them was Tao Shu, the Warden of Black Iron Prison, seated in one of the rooms. Beside him sat the stunning Su Su, who at that moment was anything but graceful, casually crossing her legs while munching on crystal grapes. 0

On the other side of Tao Shu sat another individual—Jin Ping, the Warden of Kuang Tao Prison. 0

Kuang Tao Prison was renowned alongside Black Iron Prison as one of the Free Federation's most infamous facilities, housing numerous serious offenders. The rumors surrounding Warden Jin Ping were plentiful; the most recent incident occurred six months ago when prisoners took guards hostage in a rebellion. Jin Ping single-handedly suppressed the uprising with brutal efficiency, eliminating the leading prisoners on the spot. 0

There were even whispers that this Warden from Kuang Tao Prison was nearing the level of a Special-Class General in terms of his Fuser abilities. However, such claims remained speculative without substantial evidence. Nevertheless, Kuang Tao Prison was impenetrable; to date, no one had successfully escaped. Those who attempted to flee had met their end at the hands of this iron-fisted Warden. 0

Seeing Su Su's obliviousness as she devoured her food and Wang Bo standing like a statue at the door, Tao Shu exchanged a helpless glance with his former military classmate Jin Ping, who looked on with a hint of schadenfreude. 0

Before they could speak, Su Su excitedly shouted, "It's starting! Wang Bo, hurry up and place a bet of five hundred thousand on that guy in black to win!" 0

Wang Bo nodded in understanding and quickly stepped out. 0

In the arena below, Lu Fei Fan appeared in a black fighting vest while his opponent—a burly man—stood bare-chested, shaking his head and cracking his knuckles impatiently. Upon seeing Lu Fei Fan step into the ring, he couldn't help but sneer. 0

"Kid, today is your death day!" The man flexed his massive fists, producing ominous cracking sounds that were genuinely intimidating. 0

"Oh? Is that so?" Lu Fei Fan squinted and stroked his chin calmly. "Very well then; those about to die often speak well..." 0

"You’re asking for it!" The opponent roared in anger and swung his fist toward Lu Fei Fan. 0

With agility, Lu Fei Fan tilted his head to dodge and swiftly moved behind him. He countered with a powerful sweeping kick. 0

Bang! 0

The opponent anticipated this move and raised both fists to block Lu Fei Fan's kick. He was knocked back several steps before regaining his balance. 0

The sound of that strike sent the crowd into an even louder frenzy. 0

“Not bad, but unfortunately for you, you’ve met me. I, Bao Xiong, will show you what the power of a Fuser truly is!” With that, he let out a furious roar and swiftly brought his fists together, launching a powerful punch towards Lu Fei Fan. The punch emitted a faint energy aura! 0

It was Pulse Energy! There was no doubt about it. Lu Fei Fan, having awakened his gifted cells, could keenly sense the energy contained within his opponent's punch—it was indeed Pulse Energy! 0

“Come on!” 0

Yet Lu Fei Fan stood undaunted, quickly channeling his own Pulse Energy into his fists through the Fu Mai Xi Shu technique, and roared back defiantly. 0

Boom! 0

The two collided and quickly separated. They both let out another fierce roar and charged at each other again. This time, the clash of power was replaced by close-quarters combat. While Bao Xiong relied on brute strength in his fighting style, his movements were slightly lacking. Although Lu Fei Fan's strength wasn't as overwhelming, he didn't shy away; instead, he faced his opponent head-on, using his martial arts skills to neutralize Bao Xiong's attacks. 0

The sound of their strikes echoed as they exchanged blows. Lu Fei Fan gained new insight into Bao Xiong; it was clear that he wasn't adept at Virtual Combat, but his real combat skills were impressive. 0

Bao Xiong was equally surprised by Lu Fei Fan. He hadn’t expected that after easily losing two rounds in Virtual Combat to this young man, he would hold his own so well in real combat. This young man was indeed remarkable. 0

After nearly half an hour of fighting, following another brutal clash, Lu Fei Fan seized an opening and landed several powerful punches to Bao Xiong's ribs. The force sent him flying back, causing him to spit out blood. 0

From that moment on, Lu Fei Fan pressed the attack relentlessly against the injured Bao Xiong. Despite being hurt, Bao Xiong managed to counterattack during openings in Lu Fei Fan’s offense; however, the injuries he sustained were still within tolerable limits—thanks to the ‘hero’ training he had undergone. 0

After all, during their usual training sessions, that deceitful Intelligent rogue had increased the pain levels in the Virtual Network by over ninety percent. Thus, the current level of pain was something Lu Fei Fan had already experienced. 0

Ultimately, Bao Xiong could no longer withstand Lu Fei Fan’s methodical assault. With a roar of frustration, he attempted to charge forward and tackle Lu Fei Fan. However, Lu Fei Fan sidestepped and delivered a powerful punch to Bao Xiong's side under his arm. With a grunt, Bao Xiong's robust body flew through the air and crashed heavily onto the platform. 0

The spectators erupted in excitement; those who had bet on Lu Fei Fan were especially thrilled. As Bao Xiong lay defeated, Lu Fei Fan offered a slight bow in respect for a warrior before stepping down from the platform and returning to the resting area. He gently touched the spot where he had been injured earlier; fortunately, there were no broken ribs, but Bao Xiong's strength had certainly left its mark. 0

The next match was about to begin. 0

The competitors were the Short-Haired Girl and another rugged-looking Male Warrior dressed in military attire. 0

Lu Fei Fan noticed that the Male Warrior employed basic Military Combat Techniques. While they weren’t masterful by any means, they were enough to leave the Short-Haired Girl struggling to keep up. 0

The fighting style of the Short-Haired Girl was quite intricate. Whenever her opponent attempted to strike her with punches or kicks, she always managed to skillfully counter with various martial arts techniques, even resorting to life-and-death maneuvers to thwart her adversary. 0

After several rounds of combat, they were surprisingly evenly matched. In fact, after becoming familiar with the Male Warrior's set of boxing techniques, the Short-Haired Girl was able to launch counterattacks. 0

However, the soldier seemed increasingly frustrated by the relentless engagement with the Short-Haired Girl. With a sudden roar, he unleashed a flurry of punches, the sound of which hinted at the infusion of Pulse Energy into his strikes! 0

Caught off guard, the Short-Haired Girl was knocked back several steps. Yet, she crossed her arms and managed to block this wave of attacks, though she staggered and spat out a mouthful of blood. 0

Seeing that the Short-Haired Girl was on her last legs, the Male Warrior naturally pressed his advantage and launched a fierce assault. The girl felt like a boat on the verge of capsizing amidst turbulent waves, yet she continued to struggle against the relentless onslaught. Seizing an opportunity during his rapid-fire punches and kicks, she executed a knee strike that shattered his raised leg and followed up with a precise series of palm strikes that hit him squarely in the throat, chest, and forehead. 0

Lu Fei Fan's eyes lit up; this girl's technique was not particularly sharp but relied on close-range tactics that caught her opponent off guard. It was clear she had been planning her strategy from the very beginning. 0

The Male Warrior collapsed, dazed from the blows, and the referee declared the girl the victor. However, whether her injuries would allow her to advance to the next round remained uncertain. Regardless, Lu Fei Fan stroked his chin thoughtfully as he observed the girl with a hint of intrigue in his smile. 0

After stepping down from the arena, the girl noticed Lu Fei Fan's expression. After a brief moment of confusion, she quickly began to rest and tend to her wounds. 0

Following this match, several more fights took place—some resembling street brawls while others showcased skilled fighters in thrilling contests. The atmosphere in the arena was electric with cheers and screams as betting amounts soared. Many businessmen and corporations who had previously been mere spectators began placing bets as well. Naturally, most were betting on their own fighters to win since many participants hoped for their chosen competitors to triumph throughout the tournament. 0
