On a platform on the second floor of the venue, several people stood watching the recent sparring match between Lu Fei Fan and Yang San. 0

At the forefront were Jiang Wannian and Mr. Whitebeard, with Li Wei and a few other instructors from the guild standing behind them. 0

"What is the name of that young man?" Bai Xu asked his nephew, Gu Li, who was beside him. 0

"He hasn't appeared in our guild before, but the two next to him have visited a few times," Gu Li recalled. This indicated that Gu Li had quite a good memory; considering there were dozens of newcomers reporting to the guild every month, it was impressive that he could remember these otherwise unremarkable faces. 0

"What do you think?" Bai Xu suddenly asked Jiang Wannian, who had been intently observing the scene below. 0

"After all these years, I never expected to see such a talented young man in this area. It truly surprises me," Jiang Wannian said, gripping the railing with evident excitement. 0

Bai Xu looked again at the young man surrounded by many students. Gu Li, who had been looking down, slightly twitched his ears upon hearing Jiang Wannian's words, but quickly concealed the gesture. 0

"Li Wei, Lei Hou," Jiang Wannian instructed, "go and invite this young man to the VIP Room for a chat." 0

The slender Li Wei nodded to a stout man beside him before turning to head downstairs. 0

Bai Xu gazed at the crowd with a hint of melancholy and said regretfully, "It’s truly careless of us; if this young man gets recruited by someone from the Azure Dragon Guild, it would be a significant loss for our Xuanwu Guild!" 0

"Mr. Whitebeard, there's no need to blame yourself. The Jiangnan Continent is indeed a land of hidden talents. However, we haven't produced any extraordinary figures in decades. I hope this time we can cultivate someone who will contribute to the Free Federation," Jiang Wannian comforted him from the side. 0

Bai Xu nodded and sighed, "Indeed, if he can soar high, it would bring honor to our Xuanwu Guild." 0

Hearing this, Jiang Wannian smiled with satisfaction and said cheerfully, "Haha, then the Master will surely be pleased." 0

At this point, Bai Xu became serious and cautiously asked, "By the way, do we have any news from the Director?" 0

Jiang Wannian forced a bitter smile and shook his head. "I've asked many people to inquire, but very few have returned from Syle, and there's no news about the teacher. Once we finish the Unified Examination, I plan to go there myself to find him." 0

Bai Xu was taken aback, his expression turning serious as he reminded, "You need to think this through. The Abyss Zone is known as the Devil's Zone; the dangers there are unimaginable. Many powerful Fusers have gone there and never returned!" 0

"Yes." Jiang Wannian nodded, seemingly resolute. He tightened his grip on the railing and looked ahead with determination. "No matter if it's called Wuji Hell or the true Devil's Abyss, I must find my teacher." 0

Bai Xu fell silent, knowing that once his friend made a decision, nothing could change his mind. It was this relentless determination that had brought him to his current level of strength. 0

At that moment, a mentor approached and reported, "Director Bai, President Jiang, the young men have already been invited to the VIP Room and are waiting." 0

Jiang Wannian shook off his thoughts and headed with Bai Xu and the others toward the VIP Room. 0

Inside the VIP Room, Lu Fei Fan, Niu Dali, and A Teng were experiencing being treated in such a high-class place for the first time. The decor was extravagant, and the staff served them with fruits and various fine teas and drinks, treating them like royalty. 0

The three of them lined up on three soft and comfortable lounge chairs. As A Teng put it, aside from dreaming, they could never enjoy such VIP service. 0

They weren't upset at all; especially Lu Fei Fan from the Federation Academy, who ordered nearly every expensive drink available in the VIP Room. The staff showed no objection, so when they brought it out, the table was piled high with colorful drinks—there were even over a hundred of them. Lu Fei Fan didn’t bother to think about how much it cost; after all, he didn't have to pay. 0

Thus, Lu Fei Fan and his companions simply took sips from each cup—sour, sweet, bitter, salty—by the end of it, they couldn't even tell what flavor they had in their mouths. 0

Soon after, the staff brought out pastries and fruits. Just as they were about to dig in, a sound of footsteps interrupted them. 0

Before long, several people walked in. One of them was recognized by Lu Fei Fan; it was Jiang Wannian, who had been referred to by Instructor Li Wei in the hall. Beside him stood an Elegant Elder in his sixties, accompanied by a young man of similar age to Lu Fei Fan. However, this young man looked at Lu Fei Fan, Niu Dali, and A Teng with sharp eyes filled with hostility. 0

Jiang Wannian looked at the table filled with drinks and an array of pastries and snacks, somewhat surprised. However, being someone who had weathered many storms, he quickly regained his composure. His gaze swept across the three individuals before him, lingering a moment longer on Lu Fei Fan. 0

Lu Fei Fan could naturally sense Jiang Wannian's scrutiny, feeling as if he were being seen through. The awakened cells within him stirred restlessly, pulses of energy threatening to surface—an instinctive reaction to being targeted and sensing danger. Yet, Lu Fei Fan swiftly suppressed the turmoil within. 0

Fortunately, Jiang Wannian soon withdrew his gaze, and the probing look softened into something more amiable. Clearly, he had reined in his own pulse energy. 0

“Hello, I am Jiang Wannian, the overall head of the Xuanwu Guild across all regions of the Jiangnan Continent. This gentleman beside me is Mr. Whitebeard, the head of this branch,” Jiang Wannian introduced with a hint of pride. 0

Bai Xu nodded at Lu Fei Fan and the others, acknowledging them in greeting. 0

A Teng and Niu Dali could hardly contain their excitement. A Teng even exclaimed in disbelief, “Wow, Jiang… Jiang Wannian! I can’t believe you’re the one hosting us!” 0

“Mr. Jiang, do you still take students? Please let us learn from you!” Niu Dali implored, almost kneeling in reverence. However, Jiang Wannian quickly helped him up. 0

“I’m sorry; I have many mundane matters to attend to and cannot provide guidance myself. If you truly need assistance, I can arrange for Li Wei or other instructors to help you,” Jiang Wannian politely declined. Nevertheless, Niu Dali was overwhelmed with gratitude; just receiving a promise from Jiang Wannian made him believe that other instructors would also invest more effort in him. 0

In reality, however, Jiang Wannian’s focus was on Lu Fei Fan. As for these two unremarkable students… they could be dealt with as needed. 0
