Throughout history, there have been countless fabrications and theories about hell, each more varied than the last.
Everywhere, endless lava burns; despairing cries fill the air, blood obscures the sun, and not a blade of grass can survive.
There is no hope, no life, no redemption, no reincarnation—only endless torment and suffering.
Yet all of this exists merely in books or ancient tales; no one has ever witnessed what true hell is like. However, in this world, scenes reminiscent of a hellish landscape often unfold before your eyes.
Just like the distant expanse of the Sea Surface, where flames and smoke swirl together. Explosions do not merely illuminate the Sea Surface but are accompanied by figures plunging into the water, their screams piercing the air, painting a picture that resembles the very essence of hell.
In the clouds above, scattered flashes of jagged lightning shine like swords. They break through the thick clouds, piercing the darkness of the world. Following closely behind is a thunderous roar echoing through the clouds.
The priest with a Crimson Ponytail stands on a delicate boat. Is it that the Lord cannot save those people, or have those people abandoned the Lord? This is an inexplicable doctrinal paradox. For someone with religious faith, it is even harder to comprehend those who live without belief—what difference is there between them and decaying flesh?
"There are always some children in this world whom your Lord does not love, yet they are the children of demons," said the girl sitting in the center of the boat, resting her chin on her hand and laughing softly. Her beauty was intoxicating.
However, the tall and imposing man at the stern of the boat ignored her completely as he rowed steadily forward into the Great Whirlpool.
"Even if one wins the world, they lose their own soul. What meaning does that hold? To save others is to save this world," declared the Crimson Ponytail Priest.
"I would rather be a king in hell than a slave in heaven," the girl replied with elegant certainty as she rested her chin on her hand.
The priest with the crimson ponytail chose not to continue debating with her because their boat had already entered the whirlpool area. The towering whirlpool surged more violently than outside, and distant ships approaching from the battlefield with victorious postures noticed this slender and delicate boat.
Those ships paid no heed to their vessel; having reached the edge of the whirlpool, it seemed that this boat must have been equipped with some energy stabilization device to navigate these treacherous waters so calmly.
Many Empowered Individuals plummeted into the sea, some fleeing in panic from this deadly zone, especially after the mysterious group wearing Masks suddenly stormed onto the battlefield. Many Fusers, who had been on the brink of victory, were swiftly cut down by them.
The Ships on the Sea Surface attempted to fire at these airborne individuals, but several of the vessels were met with Energy Exploders from the well-prepared mysterious figures, resulting in destruction and loss of life.
However, there was an unspoken agreement among all parties: when approaching the Great Whirlpool, they chose to cease fire.
Those who continued to engage were quickly targeted and sunk by larger Ships. The remaining forces had essentially formed a temporary truce, as neither side could decisively eliminate the other, leaving them with no choice but to hold their fire.
After all, the Great Whirlpool Passage was unstable; any explosion that triggered an Energy Channel could lead to disastrous consequences.
The Great Whirlpool churned with rolling waves and swirling currents, its powerful torrents resembling a gaping hole plunging into the dark depths below. Numerous Ships were drawn into the vortex's relentless pull, and two vessels collided violently amidst the chaos. Countless cries for help echoed beneath the tumultuous waters of the Great Whirlpool, fading into insignificance.
"Change course!"
"Engage constant-speed sails!"
"Activate energy shields!"
"Don't collide with them!"
Several Ships began to respond to the situation posed by the Great Whirlpool.
One by one, Ships started to follow the flow of the swirling waters toward the unknown Great Whirlpool Passage. The airborne figures wearing Masks led the way, and among them was Lu Fei Fan. He blended into a group of dozens, unremarkable in appearance, his Pulse Energy seemingly average and even unstable. He nearly fell into the sea but was fortunately pulled back by the team leader.
"Stay close to me!" commanded the captain, urging those around him to follow. Naturally, Lu Fei Fan trailed behind him; his Pulse Energy marked him as a Special-Class General!
There was still some distance from the Top War General, but Lu Fei Fan could sense his Pulse Energy. He was doing his best to protect the weaker members of their team, especially those like Lu Fei Fan, who appeared to have extremely weak Pulse Energy.
Naturally, Lu Fei Fan had developed some fondness for this captain. He seemed strict, but in reality, he was quite supportive of his subordinates.
However, as the group began to descend toward the swirling vortex, an unexpected change occurred in the Great Whirlpool.
Lu Fei Fan felt an immense pressure, as an Ancient Consciousness surged up from the depths of the vortex.
With a thunderous roar amidst the rapidly swirling waters, a Colossal Creature burst forth, moving with lightning speed to collide with one of the Ships. The impact shattered the vessel into pieces.
Immediately after, the Colossal Creature plunged back into the water, circling around before bursting out of the whirlpool's watery wall once more!
Boom!
Another Ship was obliterated in an instant.
"What is that thing? I can't see it at all!"
"Quick! Charge in at full speed!"
"This is bad! It's coming again!"
Amidst the shouts, another figure shot downwards and crashed into one of the Ships, which erupted into a ball of flames as it sank beneath the waves.
"Open fire!"
Someone began to manipulate the Naval Gun and opened fire.
The powerful beings hovering in the air saw the unknown creature only attacking the Ship and hesitated for a moment before swiftly avoiding it.
However, the creature continued to roam around the whirlpool, and after circling once, it burst forth from the vortex with a sudden explosion. Bang! Bang! Two Ships that had just entered the whirlpool were directly hit!
Some people on the Ship noticed this phenomenon, and many Fusers leaped from the Ship, choosing to distance themselves immediately!
Of course, there were also those who flew towards the approaching creature. Yet, their Pulse Energy orbs were all struck by the mysterious being, shattering into pieces.
Those individuals no longer dared to be careless and unleashed their own Pulse Energy techniques—Light Bullets, Feather Blades, Fire Rains, fireballs... a variety of attacks surged toward the shadow rushing in.
But that figure darting out of the whirlpool was moving too fast to grasp.
It dodged those attacks and headed straight for the largest Ship. However, several powerful Generals immediately charged out from the Ship, one of whom exuded an aura of a battle god!
That battle god wielded a War Staff as thick as a bowl, striking with a thunderous blow fueled by burning Pulse Energy, sweeping through like a raging wind.
Bang!
The figure collided with it and was once again sent flying, pausing mid-air to let out a long howl!
This brief moment of stillness allowed everyone to see its true form. It resembled a massive Sand Scorpion, its raised head ugly with fangs, fierce like a mutated shoe. Its abdomen and even beneath its jaw were covered in steel-like Metal Plates. The tail arched up with three sharp Tail Spikes, supported by six Limbs that upheld its robust body. Its two Iron Pincer-like Silver Claws served as its Combat Weapons—sharp and powerful!
"Come on!" The proud battle god shouted at the creature while floating in mid-air.
The five generals spread out like an umbrella, ready to confront the creature that had emerged from the water.
This beast was not particularly large, but its speed in the water was astonishing, as swift as a flying ship!
With a shriek, it lunged toward them, and the war god protecting the ancient warship met it head-on with his staff. The fierce battle between humans and the beast erupted in the whirlpool, two streams of light colliding like arrows, sending shards of light scattering in all directions.
They separated and then intertwined again at the center, locked in a fierce struggle.
"Go!"
Lu Fei Fan didn't have time to see the outcome; the captain had issued the order because those in front were already being led into the whirlpool by the Golden Mask Man.
As Lu Fei Fan entered the whirlpool, he could hear the sound of violent collisions like thunder, with uncertain results ahead.
He only fell to the bottom and felt countless gentle blue lights surging toward him. But before he could fully sense it, a massive willpower surged from below within the whirlpool.
Despite the fierce battle within the whirlpool, other generals who could not assist rushed to escort their ancient warships into it. As long as they got their ships into the whirlpool, they would have fulfilled their agreement with these powerful families. After entering, their relationship might no longer be one of cooperation.
However, just as a ship was about to enter the whirlpool, a gigantic tentacle emerged from it. It resembled a giant tree, covered in sharp spikes that stood upright. As it extended outwards, a powerful pulse of energy caused the whirlpool's passage to spin even faster, indicating that the stable structure of the passage was beginning to break down.
Following that, a second tentacle emerged, then a third and a fourth!
Four thick tentacles shot out, thrashing wildly in the whirlpool. Many ships were smashed to pieces in an instant, and numerous strong warriors launched attacks against the tentacles. Yet those tentacles swept through with overwhelming force, sending many powerful fighters flying.
The water flow of the whirlpool began to collapse. The previously stable passage maintained by an invisible energy became chaotic due to the emergence of this colossal creature, resulting in a complete loss of structure.
The seawater poured into the passage, yet a significant portion of the whirlpool remained intact.
Beneath the water, a colossal beast began to emerge from the depths, its massive Giant Eye fixed on the creatures above the surface. Its Tentacles lashed out violently, sending shockwaves of Pulse Energy that exploded in layers through the air.
Many powerful individuals who attempted to intervene against this Colossal Creature were caught in the chaos, their bodies thrown into the sea by the turbulent Pulse Energy. Dozens fell into the water like prey, while the monstrous entity slowly opened its gaping maw, revealing rows of jagged teeth that sent chills down one’s spine.
Yet, those who fell were hardly enough to fill its gaps; it stirred its four Tentacles once more, wreaking havoc in the whirlpool. The dark clouds above flashed with lightning, illuminating the beast’s terrifying mouth, resembling a Hell Abyss.
A slender boat gradually appeared atop the whirlpool, surprisingly remaining still at the edge without being drawn into the swirling waters.
“It seems the passage is about to close,” said a Loli sitting in the center of the boat, propping her chin up as she gazed leisurely at the scene beneath the whirlpool, appearing utterly unconcerned.
The Crimson Braid priest turned around and sat down, watching a man wielding dual blades.
“Treyzer.”
The man pulled back his Rain Cloak with a sigh, standing up to reveal his black Papal Attire underneath. He was robust and imposing, with golden hair and blue eyes, exuding an aura akin to that of a holy knight.
“Aren’t you bringing that weapon?” The girl turned her back to him and glanced at the giant beast lurking below. Was he really planning to fight it barehanded?
The tall man bent down and retrieved a dagger from the boat—a blade that resembled more of a fruit knife than a weapon.
“Rod, Holy Armor activated!”
The red-haired priest named Rod began to open his heavy tome, chanting complex and obscure verses that were difficult for anyone to comprehend.
"Come here!"
As the words fell, a beam of light descended from the dark clouds. The tall Treyzer reached out and grasped the light that broke through the cloud layer, resembling a golden spear adorned with divine radiance.
With each page Rod turned in the scripture, a layer of white holy light enveloped Tall Man, one after another. After flipping four pages, he was surrounded by four layers of armor constructed from White Energy, dazzling and brilliant. Holding the Lightbringer Holy Spear, he appeared like a deity!
"I'm going!"
The man leaped from the boat, and the sound of thunder echoed through the air as he broke through.
The girl sitting in the center of the boat, resting her chin on her hand, watched this unfold and murmured to herself, "This is how the Holy Lord wields the sword of judgment upon you..."
