"Alright, I'll find a way," he said helplessly. 0

The next day, Allen indeed returned with some Magic Gems and Magic Books. Although these items looked a bit worn, they were more than enough for me at this moment. 0

"Thank you, Allen," I said as I accepted the materials, while secretly calculating my own plans in my mind. 0

These gems and books could help me restore my magical power, but their greater purpose was to assist Allen in enhancing his strength. 0

After spending these few days together, I realized that although Allen was a Paladin, he wasn't as powerful as the stories depicted. His swordsmanship was decent, but his knowledge of magic was severely lacking. 0

"Since you've helped me so much, I should do something for you," I thought to myself. 0

Thus, I began to "study" those Magic Books while teaching Allen some useful magical knowledge. 0

"This magic circle can actually be drawn like this. It not only enhances your attack power but also defends against enemy spells," I explained while drawing the magic circle on the ground with my finger. 0

At first, Allen was skeptical of my magical knowledge, but after a few sessions of guidance, he gradually realized that what I was teaching him was not nonsense but genuinely useful. 0

"How... how do you know so much?" Allen asked in surprise. 0

"I told you, I've read many books about magic before," I deflected once again. 0

"Alright," Allen nodded and began to practice the magic I had taught him earnestly. 0

After a period of practice, Allen's strength had noticeably improved. He was no longer the downcast knight he once was; instead, he was gradually regaining his former glory. 0

During this time, I had absorbed a significant amount of Magic Gem power, and my magical energy was slowly recovering. Although I had not yet reached my peak, it was sufficient to handle some basic spells. 0

"It seems my plan is progressing smoothly," I thought to myself. 0

In the evening, Allen practiced the swordsmanship and magic I had taught him in the yard. He swung his sword with agility, and magic flowed through his hands with ease, completely shedding the sense of despair he once carried. 0

I sat under the eaves, watching Allen train, feeling a mix of emotions. 0

"You seem... to have changed a lot," I suddenly said. 0

"Really?" Allen paused his movements and looked at me. 0

"Yes, you no longer seem as downtrodden as before. You look more like a true Paladin now," I replied. 0

"That's all thanks to you," Allen smiled, his eyes filled with warmth. 0

"Why are you so kind to me?" I asked him suddenly. 0

"Because... I've realized that you're not as terrifying as the legends say," Allen said earnestly, looking at me. "You're kind and strong; you're different from other Dark Witches." 0

My heart skipped a beat, and I felt a bit uneasy. 0

"Don't forget, I am the Dark Witch, destined to bring about the world's destruction," I said deliberately. 0

"I don't believe it," Alan shook his head. "I trust what my eyes see; you wouldn't do something like that." 0

A strange feeling surged within me. I looked at Alan, my emotions becoming complicated. 0

I had initially thought I was only getting close to Alan to complete my mission, to use him. But now, I realized that I seemed to… actually have developed some feelings for him. 0

I liked his silly demeanor, his kindness and sense of justice, and I adored the gentle look in his eyes when he gazed at me. 0

"This is quite troublesome; it doesn't align with my script," I sighed inwardly. 0

However, I couldn't reveal my true thoughts just yet. 0

I had to follow the system's requirements and continue down my path as the Dark Witch. 0

But I would do it my way. 0

I would "deceive" Alan while helping him, all the while uncovering the truth of this world. 0

I wanted this world to understand that true darkness was not someone like me, the Dark Witch, but rather those hidden in the shadows—the real forces of evil. 0
