Lin Qingmo suppressed the urge to return. He understood that the conflict with Ao Yan was not solely due to the Plum Blossom Fairy's meddling; the main issue was Ao Yan's narrow-mindedness and jealousy. Any slight movement would set him on edge. However, it was impossible for Lin Qingmo to avoid socializing and sharing laughter with others. He sighed inwardly, realizing that Ao Yan's temperament could not be changed overnight. He decided to wait a couple more days before going back. 0

Aozheng led Lin Qingmo through brief bursts of rain, each lasting no more than fifteen minutes. Gradually, Lin Qingmo became adept at handling the wind bags, releasing the air with ease. Aozheng then decided to teach him how to strike lightning. This was a rather dangerous process, so Aozheng had Lin Qingmo put on the Jinzi Jia for protection. She instructed him to find Ao Yan at the small bridge in the Heavenly Palace to retrieve the double hammers for striking lightning while she went to fetch her brother to change the rain talisman. 0

To Lin Qingmo's surprise, the person at the bridge was not Ao Yan but the Plum Blossom Fairy. Upon seeing Lin Qingmo, she smiled gracefully and approached him. Dressed in a peony-red gauze skirt with a flowing shawl draped over her shoulders, she walked towards him with an air of elegance. Her almond-shaped eyes sparkled with mirth, yet there was no joy in them; instead, they bore a heavy darkness. As she drew nearer, Lin Qingmo felt compelled to speak: "Where is my father?" 0

The Plum Blossom Fairy replied with a smile, "Aunt Ao has gone drinking with Chi Jiao Daxian. You know how Aunt Ao loves her wine... So, Aunt Ao asked me to bring this to you." With that, she handed him the double hammers. She emphasized "Aunt Ao" as if they were close friends, making Lin Qingmo feel like an outsider in comparison. 0

A wave of disgust rose within Lin Qingmo. Such a beautiful woman possessed a heart as cold as ice. What did it matter if she was a celestial being? They too had emotions and desires, beauty and ugliness, good and evil. After receiving the hammers from her hand, he fell silent for a moment, tightened his lips, and ultimately managed to say "Thank you" out of courtesy before turning away. 0

Amidst the thick rolling black clouds, Lin Qingmo stood on the cloud's edge, calmly following Aozheng's instructions as he lifted the double hammers. He struck them together once; amidst the rumbling thunder, a bolt of blue lightning shot through the clouds, followed by torrential rain pouring down to the earth. Lin Qingmo raised the hammers again and struck a second time. With a loud bang, another bolt of lightning shot out but suddenly turned back towards him like a water-blue arrow piercing through his chest. "Ah—" Lin Qingmo screamed as darkness enveloped him and he fell from the clouds. 0

"Aozheng!" he heard her voice filled with alarm as she rushed after him without time to transform back into her human form. 0

Xi'er was bound naked and suspended from a pillar; her headscarf had been tied around her waist—a concession granted by Ao Yan only after much pleading from her. Atop her head sat a Little Kumquat, on which two characters were written in brush strokes: Little White. Xi'er cried uncontrollably and struggled desperately while hoarsely calling out, "Your Highness, please don't shoot! Your Highness..." After seeking help from Aozheng to rescue Lin Qingmo, Ao Yan had taken to tormenting her in various ways. 0

Ao Yan squinted one eye as he held an already drawn bow tightly; an arrow rested on the string, ready to be released at any moment. He casually remarked, "There's someone named Little White who claims I'm a juvenile attacker. I already have a wife; soon enough I might even become a father myself! And yet they dare call me juvenile! What do you think? Should I teach her a lesson?" 0

"Yes, of course," Xi'er nodded while crying. "But can't you find another way?" 0

Ao Yan shook his head gently and replied slowly, "No." With a swift motion, he released the arrow which struck Little Kumquat in an instant; its tail quivered violently under the impact. Xi'er tilted her head in shock and fainted. 0

At that moment, a Shrimp Soldier rushed in urgently: "Report—Your Highness, something has happened..." 0
