The monster seemed to be suppressed by Jian Jie and me, continuously letting out howls that disturbed our thoughts. The sound pierced through our minds like needles, causing our movements to slow down. 0

I noticed that Jian Jie’s strength in wielding the whip had weakened significantly. I thought to myself that if Jian Jie lost her fighting capability, it would be difficult for me to handle this monster alone. So, I shouted, “Jian Jie, can you hold this Gui Wu for a moment?” 0

Jian Jie gasped and asked, “What do you want to do?” 0

“Of course, I’m going to unleash my ultimate move! How about it? Can you still manage?” I replied with a hint of arrogance. 0

Jian Jie looked at my confident demeanor and seemed to make a decision. She nodded and said, “I can hold this monster for one minute. Are you sure you can eliminate this Gui Wu?” 0

“Don’t worry! I can joke with your life; I can definitely joke with our Fo Zhang’s life too!” I smiled at Jian Jie. 0

Jian Jie snorted coldly and then fiercely charged at the Gui Wu. I jumped out of the combat circle, shaking my head. Indeed, this woman was not to be trifled with; I silently mourned for the Gui Wu for three seconds. 0

I didn’t know what kind of miraculous medicine Jian Jie had taken, but her previously weakening aura suddenly surged like a fierce tiger descending the mountain—of course, a mother tiger—beating the Gui Wu into a state where it couldn’t fight back at all. 0

I took out the Kasa and laid it on the ground. After all, since the Gui Wu could split and merge, if we wanted to eradicate it completely, the Kasa was indispensable. I also took out the obsidian prayer beads and set up a Gang Bei Dou Zhen around the Kasa to trap the enemy. 0

Then I chanted a spell to conceal the formation and held the Shari that hung around my neck in my hands while silently reciting the Six-Character Great Bright Mantra. 0

After quickly checking everything to ensure there were no mistakes, I called out to Jian Jie, “Lead this Gui Wu over to my position.” 0

Jian Jie’s originally fair skin turned an unusual shade of red. Beads of sweat formed on her forehead as she bit her lip tightly and forcibly drove the Gui Wu into the center of the formation. 0

I shouted sternly, “Xi Wanxiang, All Buddhas lend their power—trap!” 0

Under my incantation, the Kasa came alive, binding the Gui Wu tightly. The Gang Bei Dou Zhen transformed into an inverted bowl shape, trapping the Gui Wu within the barrier. With this double assurance, I sat cross-legged beside the formation and began chanting the Great Compassion Mantra. 0

Seeing that the Gui Wu was trapped, Jian Jie’s arms that had been propping her up suddenly relaxed, her eyes slowly closed, and she fainted. 0

The Buddhist Scriptures I chanted were different from those usually recited; every line I spoke drew upon the Fo Nian from my Dan Tian. Each character from the Buddhist Scriptures transformed into faint yellow symbols that merged into the body of the Gui Wu. With each character absorbed, its struggles weakened further. 0

As the Gui Wu remained bound by the Kasa and under my chanting voice, its form gradually changed until it finally transformed into a mass of human-shaped black mist, displaying an expression of pain. 0

I saw that the timing was right, and hurriedly struck Shari into Gui Wu's forehead. With a sharp scream, Gui Wu slowly dissipated like a mirage under the sunlight. 0

These Yuan Hun seemed to be trapped together by someone, guarding the Higanbana, unable to reincarnate. I endured waves of weakness and recited the Amitabha Sutra several times. 0

Watching the numerous Yuan Hun dissipate into the air like twinkling stars, I felt an overwhelming sense of pride and satisfaction. The Fo Nian in my almost dried-up Dan Tian began to rise slowly like the tide, swelling to several times its original amount. I couldn't help but let out an extremely satisfying sound. My entire body felt warm, as if soaking in hot water, every muscle and cell rejoicing in comfort. 0

“Chirp chirp…” The voice of Fo Zhang was filled with excitement. When I turned to look, I saw that the Higanbana was emitting a faint red glow. I calculated the time again; according to what Jian Jie had said earlier, this Higanbana should be ripe for picking. 0

Fo Zhang extended its fluffy paw and gently broke off the stem, then brought the flower towards its mouth. Suddenly, an image of Jian Jie chasing after me with a whip after realizing that Fo Zhang had monopolized the flower flashed in my mind. I shivered involuntarily. It was best to avoid provoking a woman like Jian Jie, so I shouted, “Fo Zhang, don’t eat it!” 0

Fortunately, although Fo Zhang’s eyes were filled with longing for the Higanbana, it still looked at me curiously and chirped as if asking why. 0

Fearing that Fo Zhang would eat the flower while I wasn’t paying attention, I quickly walked over, picked up Fo Zhang, and while it was distracted, swiftly plucked off the lower half of the flower and tucked it into my pocket. 0

Then I patted Fo Zhang's head and said, “Alright, you can eat now.” 0

When Fo Zhang turned to see that part of the flower was missing from my hand, it immediately became agitated. It jumped onto my head and chirped incessantly, its voice laced with anger. 0

After much effort and promising daily fruits and treats, this little creature finally relieved itself on my shoulder before scurrying off to devour the Big Red Flower. Then it staggered over to me like it was drunk and promptly fell asleep. 0

I looked at Jian Jie, a beautiful woman lying not far away, and felt a twinge of pity. Considering how damp the cave was, I spread out my Kasa on a relatively dry and flat spot, thinking it would be better to place Jian Jie on it than let her sleep on the ground. 0

There were traces of blood at the corner of Jian Jie's mouth, and her lips appeared pale, giving her a more delicate look compared to her previously annoying demeanor. As I lifted her up, there was inevitably some contact between our bodies; despite her light weight, where she pressed against my chest felt astonishingly intense, making my ears burn. 0

Just as I set Jian Jie down and hadn’t yet withdrawn my hand, I caught sight of her fiery gaze directed at me. 0

“Smack…” 0

Jian Jie, clutching her chest, scolded me: “You shameless monk taking advantage of me!” 0

I covered my slapped face, feeling furious inside. If I had known this would happen, I would have taken advantage of the situation more; now not only did I miss out on that opportunity but also ended up getting slapped. What kind of situation was this? 0

“Jian Da Mei Nu, please watch your words. I was only trying to help you, worried that you might catch a cold sleeping on the ground, which is why I carried you over. You really are like a dog biting Lu Dongbin, unable to recognize a good person's heart. If I had known earlier…” I walked over to the corner of the wall and sat down, feeling quite displeased. 0

Jian Jie glanced at the Kasa on the ground and probably guessed what had happened. Then she looked in the direction of Higanbana and shouted, “Where's the flower?” 0

I tossed the half flower from my pocket over to her. Jian Jie took it with care and pulled out a clean black box from her bag, placing the flower inside. She even meticulously picked up the flower petals that had fallen onto her clothes and put them in as well. 0

“Is this all there is?” Jian Jie asked, displeased. 0

I couldn’t be bothered to respond to her and pointed at Fo Zhang, saying, “At that time, I was locked in a fierce battle with Gui Wu. Fo Zhang just plucked the flower and was about to put it in his mouth; this half was something I desperately snatched from his mouth.” 0

Jian Jie didn’t reply. She packed her things and started walking out of the cave. “Ling Feng, you should really pray to your Buddha at home to ensure you never run into me again.” 0

I was left there, utterly confused: Is this all my fault? 0
