I cautiously watched the computer screen in front of me, oblivious to the endless darkness behind. Suddenly, something yanked hard at my feet, and I was flung into the air. 0

In the dim light, I finally realized that what had been thrown was the wig I had just discarded. Had it come to life? 0

At that moment, the wig stood upright on the ground, as if an invisible face lay beneath it. Its long black strands twisted into several tendrils, wrapping around my limbs and lifting me off the ground like a clawing octopus. I felt the hair tightening around my limbs, and not far away, another strand was slithering toward my neck. 0

If I got caught, my neck would surely be severed from my body. With a thought, I pulled out the Peach Wood Sword from my Qiankun Bag. Using all my strength, I flipped myself over, grasped the sword, and spat a drop of blood from my tongue onto its blade. The Peach Wood Sword emitted a faint crimson glow and returned to its original form. 0

I flicked the Peach Wood Sword backward, severing the hair wrapped around my right hand. Then, bending down, I swung the sword to cut through two strands at my feet. Just as I prepared to slice through the long hair on my left hand, it suddenly tightened its grip and yanked me off balance. I dropped to one knee and planted the Peach Wood Sword on the ground. 0

More strands of hair crept along the floor like slithering snakes, surrounding me. While resisting the pull from my left hand, I reached into my pocket and pulled out a Talisman. Holding it in one hand, I recited the Six Character Mantra and threw the Talisman at the approaching hair. 0

In that inky darkness, a blinding yellow fire dragon erupted. The slower strands of hair turned to ash in its flames while others shrieked and retreated. 0

Seizing the opportunity, I pushed off with my toes and leaped high into the air, hurling a string of obsidian prayer beads at the wig. 0

The beads scattered mid-air, trapping the wig within their confines. Watching it flail about like a headless fly inside the barrier, I sat cross-legged at its edge and pressed my palms together to recite the Amitabha Sutra. 0

The words formed tangible characters that closed in on the wig. By the time I finished reciting the Amitabha Sutra for the third time, the wig returned to its previous state—collapsed on the ground and motionless. 0

“Clap… clap…” 0

The lights in the office flickered on one by one, casting blinding white rays. Squinting toward the door, I saw a middle-aged man in a Daoist robe enter with a sinister smile on his face. 0

"I wondered who had such audacity to disrupt a Daoist's affairs. Turns out it's just a monk," he said arrogantly, tilting his chin slightly as he scrutinized me with half-closed eyes. 0

Perhaps his arrival provoked Lin Zhi and his companion trapped within a pillar; Lin Zhi's face twisted with rage as if he wished to devour this Daoist alive. He struggled desperately to break free from his confinement. 0

The formation on the pillar tightly trapped her within, and as I watched Lin Zhi struggle, her face contorted almost beyond recognition, she continued to push desperately against the confines. 0

The Taoist priest reached out and threw a talisman paper towards her. The originally soft paper, propelled by his throw, stuck to the pillar like a playing card tossed in a gambling movie. 0

Once the talisman adhered to the pillar, Lin Zhi vanished. The pillar returned to its original form, shimmering with an eerie glow under the white light. 0

"Who are you? Why do you harm these innocent girls?" I demanded angrily, pointing the tip of my Ruyi Stick at the Taoist. 0

The Taoist burst into laughter, as if he had heard an amusing joke. He laughed so hard that he could barely stop, finally saying, "It's been a long time since I've heard such a funny joke. For these girls to catch the eye of someone like me, Qing Kong Dao Ren, that's their fortune..." 0

"You, being someone from the realm of sorcery, should know that what you're doing makes you an enemy of the entire sorcery world," I retorted with a fierce glare. 0

Qing Kong Dao Ren snorted dismissively, a smirk curling at the corners of his mouth. "An enemy of the sorcery world? Even if the Emperor himself came, Daoist wouldn't be afraid. You bald donkeys talk about karma and retribution; I don't belong to your Buddha." 0

His words were incredibly arrogant. With a swift motion of his wide sleeves, several bone-piercing nails flew toward me. Fortunately, I had anticipated that Qing Kong Dao Ren was not to be trifled with and had prepared accordingly; otherwise, if he succeeded in his sneak attack, I wouldn't be leaving here tonight. 0

I spun my Ruyi Stick rapidly, forming a barrier that deflected each of the bone-piercing nails to the ground. 0

Qing Kong Dao Ren, sneering, said, "What are you? Just a kid who hasn't even grown up yet. Trying to act tough like those self-righteous fools? Today, Daoist will teach you what truth really is." 0

In an instant, Qing Kong Dao Ren was upon me, his sleeves slicing through the air like sharp blades. I braced myself against him. Thankfully, with my Ruyi Stick in hand, it was difficult for him to close in. 0

This Iron Sleeve Technique, which I had heard my master speak of, could supposedly sever iron and stone when mastered to perfection. I had never believed it until now; facing it made me realize how incredible it truly was. 0

Each clash between Qing Kong Dao Ren's sleeves and my Ruyi Stick produced a loud sound of impact. 0

"So you have some skills after all, monk. No wonder you're so full of yourself and want to meddle in others' affairs," Qing Kong Dao Ren remarked with a strange smile on his face. 0

I replied with righteous determination, "Today, regardless of my skills, I will take charge of this matter." 0

After a fierce attack, Qing Kong Dao Ren stepped back, creating some distance between us. He pulled out three pieces of paper from his pocket, performed a hand gesture, and the thin Paper Man transformed into three burly men wielding giant axes. 0

With a smirk at the corner of his mouth, Qing Kong Dao Ren said, "Once you've dealt with my Three Giants, then you can brag. You think you can take charge? Let's see what you can do today." 0

With his hands tucked into his sleeves, he leaned against the wall, seemingly confident in his subordinates, as if he were watching an entertaining game of cat and mouse. 0

The three giants approached me like towering mountains, easily kicking aside the office furniture. Holding my Ruyi Stick, I kept retreating until I found myself against the wall with no escape. 0

I shouted loudly, stepping off the wall to leap high into the air and swung down with my stick. To my surprise, one of the giants didn't dodge; he took the blow head-on, losing half of his skull but still swung his axe at me. 0

The other two giants closed in as well, their axes blocking my upper, middle, and lower paths. I quickly executed the Great Shift Technique, slipping through their encirclement like a fish dodging between them. 0
