In the dead of night, I suddenly opened my eyes and moved closer to Tian Tian, quietly covering her mouth with my hand.
Tian Tian sensed someone approaching and began to kick and thrash in panic.
I whispered, "It's me!"
Feeling the person beneath me stop moving, I released my grip and said, "Don't make a sound; there's something happening outside."
Upon hearing this, Tian Tian trembled uncontrollably, clearly terrified to the extreme.
I leaned against the cave's edge, peering through the weeds outside. In the darkness, countless beams of light flickered and swayed. One was already close by, and I shrank back slightly, fearing exposure.
"Damn it, that He Family ran away and wants us all to search for them overnight. What kind of nonsense is this..."
"Who isn't frustrated? But look at that brat He Yong; he looks like he wants to eat someone. He's not wrong either. Our village thrives together or suffers together. If those who escaped go to the police, we won't be able to wash our hands of it..."

A flashlight beam pierced into the cave, landing on Tian Tian. Her eyes widened in fear as tears streamed down her face. She pressed her hands tightly against her mouth, staring in terror at the cave entrance.
I made a reassuring gesture towards Tian Tian and then hid myself at the edge of the cave...
"Hey, there's a hole here; let's go in and rest for a bit until it gets bright again..."
The sound of weeds being pushed aside made my body tense up as I gripped the Ruyi Stick tightly in my hand, raising it high.
Two people, especially two from the Human Kingdom?
If I can't subdue these two in an instant, then all those years of training would be in vain.

Two short figures entered the cave, their long staffs striking down with a thud.
I called out to Tian Tian, "Come help quickly; it's no longer safe here..."
Together, we swiftly tied up the two individuals and tossed them onto the ground.
"Tian Tian, let's hurry and leave... or else..." I stopped mid-sentence.
The pale beam of the flashlight illuminated Tian Tian's face just right. Her eyes were bloodshot; due to years without sunlight, the veins on her face bulged under the light. She was gripping a sharp stone in her hand.
I rushed over and hugged her tightly. "Tian Tian, leave these scum to be dealt with... there's no need to dirty your hands."
Tian Tian collapsed into my arms, crying uncontrollably. But her voice was suppressed, her body trembling as she sobbed.
As dawn broke, Tian Tian and I chose a new direction to continue our journey. After crossing two mountain peaks, Tian Tian collapsed onto the ground, panting, "Ling Feng, I really can't go on anymore. Let's take a break..."
It was then that I noticed her feet were covered in blisters, wearing a pair of ill-fitting summer flip-flops.
Her toes were exposed and slightly dirty. I hesitated for a moment before stepping aside to fetch some water. From my Qiankun Bag, I pulled out a pair of shoes. Although they were a bit large, they were certainly better than her summer sandals. I also tucked some hemostatic medicine into my pocket.
First, I washed the dirt off Tian Tian's feet, then applied the hemostatic and anti-inflammatory ointment before placing the black cloth shoes on the ground. "These are my shoes. You can wear them for now; once we get out of the mountains, we can buy you new ones..."
Tian Tian didn’t respond. When I looked up, I met her gentle gaze; her pale face was tinged with a hint of color.
"Ling Feng, I've never had a man help me apply medicine to my feet before! Thank you..."
Her voice was soft and sweet.
I chuckled awkwardly and said, "I’m just here to save you..."
Seeing me grin foolishly made her burst into laughter.
She laughed like a blooming flower.
But soon after, her laughter faded, and with a slight sigh, she said, "Ling Feng, can we ever go back to the way things were?"
"Once we get out and return to your parents' side, everything will be in the past... Just think of it as if the old Tian Tian died in that room..." My words stumbled out clumsily; I couldn't find anything more comforting to say.
Tian Tian smiled softly and replied, "Thank you, Ling Feng."
At this moment, we were on a hillside, with a stream below, the gentle flow of water producing a cheerful tinkling sound.
As we stood up to prepare for our journey, a group of people approached the edge of the stream.
The group consisted entirely of tall, muscular men dressed in camouflage. Some of them were holding guns, which I didn't know much about, but judging by their size, they seemed to be machine guns or something similar—definitely capable of unleashing devastating firepower.
I pressed Tian Tian down to the ground. The appearance of such a group in these remote mountains could only mean trouble.
Just as I was planning to quietly lead Tian Tian away from these guys, a voice suddenly rang out that was all too familiar. I paused and looked down...
What a twist of fate! I couldn't believe she would find herself in such a situation; I couldn't help but feel a bit amused.
It was none other than my senior sister, Hong Chou, bound tightly by ropes beside the stream.
This woman, whether genuinely foolish or simply used to being arrogant, shouted loudly, "You scoundrels, let me go! Just wait until I get my hands on you; you'll regret this..."
The crowd erupted in laughter. One man with a full beard reached out and touched Hong Chou's face before sniffing his fingers. "Hey girl, you've got quite the fiery spirit. I wonder how you are in bed... Hahaha..."
Someone chimed in, "Yeah... ever since we came into these mountains, I've been holding back. Perfect timing to let off some steam..."
They leered at Hong Chou, their expressions lewd and predatory.
Hong Chou's face turned red with anger as she spat at the man. However, fear crept into her voice as she warned, "If you dare lay a hand on me, I swear you'll never taste a woman's touch again for the rest of your life..."
Hong Chou, despite her fierce appearance, still managed to intimidate that group of people.
It made sense; the Miaojiang Gu Technique was notoriously difficult to guard against. In the past, there were instances where women resorted to using love charms to prevent their men from straying.
Now, it was possible that a woman might use charms on herself for protection.

The bullet struck the rock I was hiding behind, and I pressed my body flat against the ground.
