The Leader furrowed his brow as he glanced at the Young Fellow not far away. There were a total of eight of us, and excluding the one with a severed hand, we had seven left. The other side only had four. There was still a chance to fight back. 0

“I am Han Che from the Special Investigation Bureau. You all come over here,” Han Che commanded us, his tone carrying an undeniable weight. 0

I looked at Han Che and then at the Leader, before grabbing Hong Chou with one hand and Tian Tian with the other, pulling them behind me as we slowly retreated towards Han Che, keeping my eyes fixed on the movements of the Mercenaries. 0

All the Mercenaries turned to look at the Leader. One impatient member began to chatter away, and judging by his expression, it seemed they couldn't easily let us go. 0

The Leader raised his hand to signal his men to stop and then indicated for them to take us into custody. Seeing several of them closing in, I quickly pushed Hong Chou and Tian Tian forward. 0

“We're all countrymen here; take good care of the two girls,” I shouted at Han Che, then positioned myself to block the approaching Mercenaries. 0

The Leader sneered, “There’s no such easy deal. You think you can just talk your way out? What about my Bacha's face? How will I survive on the border after this?” 0

With that, he whistled, signaling for action. 0

Han Che moved swiftly, catching both Tian Tian and me as I pushed her forward. “You two stay back. Protect yourselves,” he instructed. 0

Tian Tian cried out, “Please, you have to save Ling Feng!” 0

Hong Chou was more alert; realizing she couldn’t help right now, she pulled Tian Tian away toward the outskirts, her tone heavy as she said, “You’ll have your time to cry later.” 0

Han Che showed no fear; he directly blocked Bacha's kick with a punch. His momentum was overwhelming. Bacha staggered back a few steps before regaining his balance. “Taoist martial arts?” he questioned. 0

Han Che smirked. “At least you have some insight. If you know what's good for you, get lost quickly. Otherwise, don’t blame me for being rude.” 0

Bacha felt a surge of competitiveness rise within him. After decades of practicing Muay Thai, how could he possibly lose to someone younger? Although Bacha was not tall, his lower body was remarkably stable. His elbows, knees, fists, and legs moved in perfect harmony, creating a fluid motion that resembled a well-oiled machine, showing no signs of retreat. The more they fought, the fiercer he became. 0

Han Che stood about a head taller than Bacha, his form resembling a playful dragon. Under Bacha's relentless assault, he maneuvered effortlessly, either blocking or countering without losing an inch to Bacha. 0

At this moment, it was hard to determine who would emerge victorious. 0

The three subordinates who accompanied Han Che were engaged in a fierce battle against four opponents, each exchange filled with raw power and determination. 0

I found myself facing two towering brutes. They stood before me like two immovable walls of flesh. I kicked one of them, but he didn’t budge an inch. With a look of disdain, he brushed off the dust from his clothes and swung a punch at me. 0

It was at this moment that the brilliance of the Great Shift Technique revealed itself. I tapped my toes on the ground and retreated a few steps. The brute, having exerted all his strength and burdened by his size, missed his punch and stumbled forward, nearly crashing to the ground. 0

However, he reacted quickly. Using one hand to brace himself, he managed to stay upright. Seizing the opportunity, I lunged forward and stomped hard on his back. Using him as a springboard, I leaped into the air with my right leg bent and drove my knee into the jaw of the other man. 0

With that strike, the second man lost most of his fighting capability. I swiftly turned to face the one who had just regained his footing. 0

“Good! Good! Good!” Han Che exclaimed, clearly not yet using his full strength as he observed the battlefield intently. Seeing my fierce display made him shout three praises in succession. 0

I flashed Han Che a confident smile and said, “You’re not too shabby yourself. How can you be distracted while fighting? That’s disrespectful to your opponent!” 0

As soon as I finished speaking, I noticed Bacha’s expression darken significantly; his attacks came crashing down like a violent storm. 0

“Mutual respect…” Han Che shot me a glance before focusing intently on the furious Bacha before him. 0

I found myself in a one-on-one situation, which naturally made things much easier for me. 0

Since this burly man was so tough, I decided to target his weak spots. The areas under his arms and the backs of his knees became my primary focus. 0

It seemed that the burly man was intimidated by my strikes; every time I moved slightly, he anxiously covered those two vulnerable areas. 0

Being so large and trying to protect both above and below made his movements particularly comical, and I couldn't help but burst into laughter. 0

The burly man seemed to notice what I was laughing at. With a face full of anger, he pounded his chest and lunged at me, intending to crush me like a mountain. 0

I nimbly dodged him and circled around to his back, delivering two swift kicks to the back of his knees. 0

He lost his balance and dropped to one knee. Seizing the opportunity, I leaped into the air and kicked him right on the temple. 0

"Thud..." 0

The burly man collapsed onto the ground. I dusted off my clothes and raised my chin toward Han Che, signaling that I was done with my part. 0

Just as I was feeling smug about my victory, I suddenly heard Tian Tian's cry for help: "Ling Feng, help me..." 0

I turned in the direction of the voice and realized that the mercenary whose wrist I had broken was taking advantage of our chaotic fight. 0

They actually captured Tian Tian and Hong Chou. 0

The mercenary's dark arm was wrapped tightly around Tian Tian's slender neck, a dagger glinting in his hand. 0

Hong Chou was also held in a chokehold by another arm. 0

"Let them go, and I'll give you a way out!" I said, stepping forward slowly to persuade him. 0

The mercenary with the severed hand laughed, "Can you make that decision?" 0

Tian Tian's face was pale with fear, her large eyes brimming with tears as she bit her lip, trying not to cry out. Hong Chou remained silent, merely staring at me. 0

"If you're worried, I can be your hostage. A real man wouldn’t pick on two defenseless women…" I mocked. 0

But after years of experience, my provocation had no effect on him. 0

The injured mercenary replied, "Want to be a hero? Fine. Tie yourself up and walk over to me. Then I'll let these two women go." 0

The blade reflecting light was now pressed against Tian Tian's neck, causing her to burst into tears. 0

As I bit down on one end of the rope, I spun around to tie myself up securely. 0

"I'm going to jump over now; you let them both go..." 0

“Who would have thought you were such a romantic? Although I’m a Mercenary, I still understand the code of the martial world…” the injured Mercenary replied. 0

I had thought everyone here was from the country, but to my surprise, there were locals as well… No wonder they spoke so fluently. 0

Just as I was about to switch places with Tian Tian and the others, a sudden sharp whistle pierced the air. 0

As soon as the whistle faded, Han Che's warning rang out: “Watch out…” 0

The injured Mercenary’s face showed a contemplative expression before he struck my neck with his palm. As darkness enveloped me, I felt myself being hoisted onto someone’s shoulder. 0

I cursed inwardly, wondering why they hadn’t warned me sooner about the danger. 0

I lost track of time as I was jostled around. Just when I felt like my bones were about to fall apart, we finally came to a stop. 0
