The Black Magic Cult, active in the central region of the country, has a large number of followers. A few years ago, they operated quite discreetly. However, since last year, it seems they have begun to engage in organ trafficking.
To eradicate the Black Magic Cult once and for all, the Special Investigation Bureau sent undercover agents to infiltrate the enemy and gather intelligence.
Despite thorough preparations, there were still some that slipped through the cracks. As the saying goes, "A centipede, even when dead, does not stiffen."
It appears that they have managed to rise again from the ashes.
This information was relayed from within the bureau. It seems that the Black Magic Cult is indeed a habitual offender!
Once someone took over at the shrine, we pursued the remnants of the Black Magic Cult.
With Xuan leading the way, I felt no rush. If we got too close, they might notice us; if they hid again, we would be left in the dark!
Accompanying us were several colleagues from the Special Investigation Bureau in Central China.
The leader was a middle-aged man with a goatee, impeccably dressed. His leather shoes shone brightly, spotless and pristine.
When introducing himself, he appeared somewhat arrogant, shaking hands with everyone only briefly before pulling back his hand, clearly looking down on Ling Feng and his ragtag group.
Ling Feng remembered his name was Ji Kun! The other two young individuals were Lu Yuan and Qiu Yang! Lu Yuan was a shy man wearing glasses. Qiu Yang had short hair and was quite tall, with a lively personality!
“ Ling Feng, how did you find the members of the Black Magic Cult?” Qiu Yang asked, stretching her neck curiously.
I replied, “I don’t have that kind of ability; it’s all thanks to the bureau!”
“I heard you’re quite familiar with An Old Man from headquarters. What does An Old Man look like? Is he very fierce?” Qiu Yang continued to ask questions like an inquisitive child.
I couldn’t withstand her enthusiasm any longer. “An Old Man is very nice! He’s easy to get along with!”
With Qiu Yang around, the atmosphere on the way was not too awkward.
By the time we arrived at our destination, it was already dark. We parked the car a bit further away and then walked towards the lair of the Black Magic Cult.
We proceeded cautiously along the way, managing to avoid several hidden sentries and traps.
A few of these were spotted by Ji Kun. I couldn't help but admire him a bit; despite his arrogance, he indeed had some skills.
The deeper we went, the more uneasy I felt. This was a mountain on the outskirts of H City. It wasn't very high, probably only about a hundred meters. Shan Xia was a cemetery.
In the night, the shadows of the trees loomed heavily, creating an eerie atmosphere.
Fortunately, we had all been through some things, so this little scare didn't faze us much.
Suddenly, I stopped in my tracks and whispered, "Not good! We've been discovered!"
Solemn's mind was quick, "Could it be that toy has been found?"
I nodded and said, "I've lost contact with Xuan."
Ruo Yu asked with concern, "Is Xuan in trouble?"
That was exactly what I feared; if something happened to Xuan, my conscience would never be at peace!
Ji Kun questioned, "Has your undercover agent been discovered?"
Seeing me nod, he added, "Then we need to move quickly and not let these scoundrels escape!"
I was so focused on Xuan that I unconsciously ran ahead. Ji Kun, seeing me like this, thought I was trying to intimidate him and raced forward, refusing to fall behind.
After passing through a grove beyond the cemetery, we spotted a three-story villa. Beside the villa were several rows of attached bungalows.
Suddenly, a strong light shot toward us, and everyone instinctively lowered their heads and covered their eyes.
A mocking voice rang out, "Do you know what the most annoying thing in this world is? Flies! You can't get rid of them no matter how hard you try!"
Ji Kun stepped forward and retorted, "A dog's mouth can't spit out ivory!"
With that, he charged ahead. Before I could even open my mouth to stop him, I saw Ji Kun plunge into a cloud of mist.
The person who spoke so confidently clearly had some tricks up their sleeve.
Inside the mist, Ji Kun was frantically waving his sword, with thin arcs of light flashing continuously. It seemed he had encountered a formidable opponent.
Qiu Yang shouted into the mist, "Ji Team, that's a formation! You need to come out quickly!"
Even though it was only a few meters away, with the formation blocking him, how could Ji Kun hear?
The shy boy Lu Yuan remained surprisingly calm. He pulled out a transparent Octagonal Compass from his pocket, muttering incantations before tossing it into the mist.
As the compass passed through the mist, it opened up a passage. Lu Yuan swiftly gestured with his hands to control it. Before Qiu Yang could shout again, Ji Kun burst out.
He had several fine wounds on his body!
Once Ji Kun emerged, Lu Yuan's hands moved rapidly like butterflies dancing among flowers. After a burst of bright light from the Octagonal Compass, the mist before us vanished completely!
I glanced at Lu Yuan, and indeed, there are always people beyond people. Just based on Lu Yuan's skills, he stands out among the younger generation.
Our group moved a few steps forward, and the one who had been speaking earlier fell silent. Aside from a strong beam of light shooting down from above, the rest of the area was shrouded in darkness.
Ji Kun turned to his two subordinates and said, "Stay alert and follow closely behind me!"
I exchanged glances with Solemn, signaling him to stay behind me. I wasn't worried about Ruo Yu; he could take care of himself.
We split into two groups and approached the shadowy three-story building.
With Lu Yuan's earlier display of skill, I wasn't afraid of any formations. Ji Kun gestured to me, and I nodded in acknowledgment.
On either side of the building were several small rooms. I chose the right side and led Ruo Yu and Solemn over.
Pushing open the first door revealed a pile of clutter inside. The second room was empty except for some dry straw in the corner and a silver basin filled with murky water. The room was permeated with an unpleasant stench of urine.
My heart sank. Were the children really being kept in a place like this? Locked up like animals?
Solemn's breathing grew heavier as he cursed under his breath.
Some of the other rooms were used for holding people, while others were for dogs!
Just as we were about to head toward the stairs, a group of people suddenly surrounded us from behind the building, brandishing machetes and iron rods.
Ji Kun and I instinctively came together, with Ji Kun exclaiming, "These thugs are really a nuisance!"
I gripped the Ruyi Stick tightly in my hand, positioning myself to shield Ruo Yu and the others behind me. Ji Kun refused to back down and stood alongside us.
“Solemn, take care of yourselves!” With that, I charged forward.
The Ruyi Stick swept across, knocking several people to the ground. Ji Kun wielded his sword with grace, while Ruo Yu was the most ferocious, roaring like a human bulldozer as he charged in barehanded!
Those ordinary people were no match for us; within a few breaths, the air was filled with their wails.
Ji Kun then showed us a bit more enthusiasm. “Indeed, heroes emerge from youth. No wonder An Old Man values you so highly!”
I smiled back at him, unreservedly accepting his praise.
After dealing with those thugs, only the leader remained. As I pushed open the heavy iron door of the building, a piercing creak echoed in the darkness.
When the bright beam of the flashlight illuminated the room, Qiu Yang couldn't help but vomit!
The faces of the others turned pale as well! This was clearly a hell on earth!
