Li Yunye had been with Hongmen for many years and had only taken in one disciple, White. Another girl present was Mary's close friend, Mi Wei Er, a fashionista from the United States with millions of followers. She wore sunglasses, heavy makeup, and a deep V dress that accentuated her allure.
"White, if today goes well, don't forget what you promised me," Mary suddenly said in Huaxia Language.
"I won't forget; don't worry," White replied with a smile.
Mary's master, Yan Xiaotian, had died in Huaxia, leaving her without a teacher and unable to continue her training. Thus, she sought another master, and the most suitable candidate was naturally Li Yunye. Mary introduced Alice to White while expecting him to speak well of her in front of Li Yunye; it was a mutually beneficial arrangement.
"What are you two talking about?" Mi Wei Er interjected with mild annoyance upon seeing Mary and White conversing in Huaxia Language.
"Nothing much," Mary replied with a smile before glancing toward the door and giving White a knowing look. "Alice is here; you need to put in some effort. If you can win her over, it would be even more surprising than winning the American Martial Arts Championship."
"Let's go greet her," White said cheerfully as he stood up and straightened his suit before heading toward the entrance.
"Just sit tight; I forgot to tell you that Alice likes cool guys. If you're too enthusiastic, it might lower her impression of you," Mary advised with a grin.
"You should have told me earlier," White shot her an annoyed glance but quickly composed himself into a serious demeanor.
"It's not too late now; after all, Alice is different from other girls. Those childish attempts at flattery won't work on her; only confidence can win her over," Mary said while waving toward the door.
Seeing them from afar, Alice walked over.
