In the vicinity, there is only one Gothic Villa. The clash of black and red adds a layer of mystery to the building, especially at night when no one dares to pass by. The Black and Red Villa features eerie green chandeliers and a yellow, mottled pavement; this color scheme seems utterly out of place in the human world. Yet, Sister Three and her brothers are quite fond of it.
The black and red are the colors of Yue Shi's true form, while the green light represents vegetation, and the yellow mottled surface corresponds to Shijiu's floral patterns. Together, the three create a warm and quiet atmosphere, with no neighbors around during the day.
The siblings sit on a specially customized sofa, which also features the same three-color mix, poring over a pile of documents. Yue Shi points to a photo of a mature yet strikingly handsome man.
"Nie Zhui, age unknown, head of the Zhi Yao Group in the capital. The pharmaceutical industry is top-notch in the country, holding a very high status. Nie Xi is his son."
Shijiu adjusts his hairstyle playfully and quips, "Nie Xi? His father just got someone pregnant; impressive!"
Yue Shi shakes his head. "The information is merely superficial. I had someone dig deeper through official channels; they likely have no blood relation. It is said that when Nie Zhui was traveling at a young age, he found an infant and insisted on raising him himself. That child is Nie Xi, who was frail and sickly at the time. The Nie family strongly opposed it."
"But Nie Zhui was stubborn and insisted on keeping him, naming him Nie Xi," Shijiu raises an eyebrow. "A great father-son bond?"
Yue Shi shakes his head again. "The name Nie Xi signifies extinguished life. Nie Zhui himself said he wanted to see this child die. While he provided for him materially, he was very cold towards him. Even when Nie Xi was diagnosed with a blood disease, he did not show up; instead, it was the Nie family that refused to let anyone treat him. Nie Xi has loathed Nie Zhui since childhood, often rebelling against him and even resorting to violence."
"The Nie family didn't want to become a laughingstock in the capital, so they sent Nie Xi to Yuan Cheng for treatment—essentially just putting him somewhere until he dies."
Shijiu blinks and after a moment says, "Humans really know how to play games. So Nie Xi is your target? Should we find a way to save him or what?"
Yun Zhi Yue holds onto the photo of Nie Zhui for a moment before replying, "Not yet. Nie Xi has no will to live; saving him would be pointless. Moreover, I am being watched closely; altering human fate won't be as simple as just sweeping the floor for me. Let's wait it out for now."
Meanwhile, as Sister Three and her brothers review the information in their car heading towards Yuan Cheng, two others are also examining documents inside their vehicle. However, their situation is quite the opposite—the documents feature images resembling Sister Three and her brothers.
Around thirty years old, dressed in a floral shirt as if just returning from a seaside vacation, one man points at a photo of Yun Zhi Yue sweeping the streets with twitching eyelids and an expression of disbelief.
