At that moment, seated in the main position was an elderly man with graying hair and beard. Beside him stood a couple around ten years old—Nie Zhui's father. In the room, no one dared to take a seat except for the elder.

Yet here stood Nie Xi before them in good health. If they weren't familiar with his background, they might not have suspected anything amiss regarding his condition.
Even if it was merely a temporary solution and not a cure, this alone was enough to earn him admiration from countless individuals suffering from chronic illnesses. The truth was that while death brought an end to suffering, it was the torment endured during illness that truly drove people to despair.
With a single glance from the elder, someone immediately stepped forward with a syringe to collect Nie Xi's blood. As he watched the bright red liquid flow into the tube, a fleeting chill crossed Nie Xi's eyes; however, he remained composed and did not reveal any signs of distress.
As his blood was taken for testing, the elder turned his gaze toward Nie Zhui and slammed his palm on the Huang Li wood table: "Explain!"
Nie Zhui showed little reaction while Nie Langyuan jumped at the sudden noise—this was a slip-up! He quickly waved his hands defensively: "Brother, this isn't my report! Don't overthink it."
Nie Zhui understood that the elder's anger wasn't directed at him for seeking women but rather for putting Feng Family in an awkward position. Speaking calmly and steadily, he continued: "Yun Yue Shi can tackle even terminal illnesses; it's clear that there is immense potential in medicine. If he doesn't join our family, Zhi Yao Group's brilliance will be overshadowed by others."
The three siblings grew up in an orphanage.
