Yun Zhi Yue's complexion grew pale, and Qiu Yu tightened her grip on Han Xi's arm.
"What's she doing? How much blood is flowing?" Shaozongzhang asked, concern evident in his voice.
Han Xi frowned. "I don't understand the techniques of the Underworld, but this kind of spell seems to be using blood to summon souls. She must be contacting someone."
Qiu Yu expressed her worry, "With Li Shang Di Jun here, who could possibly harm her? This is so damaging to her health; it can't be good!"
Han Xi remained silent, a flicker of worry passing through her cold, beautiful eyes. If they didn't let Li Shang Di Jun intervene, it was because Yun Zhi Yue valued her identity in the Underworld. But wasn't Li Shang Di Jun from the Celestial Realm? Wouldn't he have his own thoughts on the matter?
A resonant chant echoed from the Underworld. Li Shang's icy gaze flashed with surprise; he hadn't expected that Yun Zhi Yue would have a connection with him.
Hearing the chant, Yun Zhi Yue, with her pale face, leaned against the Mingfu Gate, filled with joy. She immediately clasped her hands together and called out, "Ksitigarbha, I have a request."
Another chant followed, this one seeming to emerge from the depths of despair, washing over hearts and bringing an overwhelming sense of desolation.
Hei Jiu confronted Hei Shijiu angrily. "How is this possible? Ksitigarbha is in Wu Jian and hasn't seen anyone. How could a mere Meng Po connect with him?"
Hei Shijiu chuckled, genuinely surprised. It was quite a feat to seduce the King of the Underworld; she was certainly not an ordinary character.
Not for nothing did he harbor a desire to stand by her side.
"Ksitigarbha," Yun Zhi Yue pleaded, "I have been wronged today and sentenced to a thousand years in Cold Ice Purgatory. The Lord Reincarnation Stone can testify to this, but alas, it lies in slumber. I have no way to defend myself."
The One Hall was unassailable, and San Sheng Da Ren was nowhere to be found. Today, as Yun Zhi Yue returned to the Underworld, she would undoubtedly bear grievances. She sought Ksitigarbha's protection and hoped for permission to remain outside.
"If one day the Lord Reincarnation Stone awakens and testifies that I lied today, I am willing to let my soul fall into Wu Jian and never be reborn!"
Another chant resonated.
This time, golden light burst through the Mingfu Gate, illuminating the sky above everyone’s heads with a swastika symbol of Buddha. All felt an unprecedented clarity of mind but found themselves unable to move a single finger.
Yun Zhi Yue's clear voice rang out in gratitude: "Thank you, Ksitigarbha! When I clear my name and return one day, I will go to Wu Jian to continue listening to the teachings of Buddha."
With a bright smile on her face, she ran to Wujie and looked at Li Shang. "Master, I will go out for training; please take care of yourself."
Li Shang frowned and gently stroked her pale cheek. "There’s no need for self-harm; I can protect you."
Yun Zhi Yue shook her head. "Master cannot protect me forever. I will do my utmost to rise up and one day come back to protect you—that is my wish."
Li Shang chuckled softly, "Ben Jun, just wait for that day."
Yun Zhi Yue nodded solemnly before soaring into the air, swiftly disappearing with Han Xi Qiu Yu.
As the figures faded into the distance, the sound of the Buddhist chant lingered for a moment longer, and those left behind realized they could not pursue them.
However, it mattered little; anyone with sense knew exactly where they had gone—Han She Clan.
