Zhenbei Wang waved his hand, signaling for the black-robed person to leave.
The following days finally settled into a calm routine. Qin Feng and the others arrived at Qingshan Mansion a few days later, with Zhu Fang bringing his sister along.
At Ning Caichen's suggestion, they decided to have Zhu Fang stay at Qin Feng's house, as having one more person around was inconvenient. Qin Feng had no objections; after all, they would all be leaving after the Provincial Examination. Qin Wan'er was particularly supportive, saying that more people made for a livelier atmosphere. It also meant that she would have another companion to play with.
Zhu Fang felt even more grateful for their kindness. He expressed his willingness to follow Qin Feng, which left Qin Feng both amused and exasperated. He had to remind Zhu Fang not to overthink things and focus on preparing for the Provincial Examination.

Qin Feng was taken aback; if Old Fox hadn't mentioned it, he would have forgotten. He sat up from the lounge chair, frowning. "What happened?"
Old Fox cautiously glanced at Qin Feng before whispering, "Young Master, the Zhenbei Fu Heir is in Jinhua Prefecture, and it seems he has his sights set on the Nie Family Young Lady. The fox I sent to protect the Nie Family has been killed."
Qin Feng's eyes narrowed. The Zhenbei Wang Heir had gone to Jinhua Prefecture. Although he had never met Nie Xiaoqian, the engagement had not been dissolved, and he felt a twinge of displeasure.
"I understand. You don't need to send anyone close to the Nie Family; as long as they don't encounter any trouble, that's enough. Also, keep a close watch on that Seizi. I'll head to Jinhua Prefecture once the results are announced," Qin Feng said calmly.
"Understood, Young Master," Old Fox replied respectfully before retreating.
A cold glint flickered in Qin Feng's eyes. Was he really going to confront the Zhenbei Prefecture? He knew that Nie Rong was the Governor of Jinhua Prefecture, so for now, that Seizi probably wouldn't resort to force. Therefore, he wasn't in a hurry.
On the day of the results announcement, Zhou Ziling and the others came to Qin Feng. "Brother Qin, let's go together to see the rankings," Huang Xu said with a smile.
However, Qin Feng shook his head. "I won't be going. If I make it onto the list, they'll come to congratulate me."
