As the enemy was forced to retreat, a brief silence finally returned to the room. Several members of the Anti-Special Zone Alliance, clad in camouflage, rushed inside, bringing with them Wu Lan. They arrived like a timely rain, instantly turning the tide of battle.
The leader of the Alliance Members nodded at Chen Rui and Erin, calmly stating, "I am Zhao Yunshan, the Acting Commander of the Alliance, responsible for your mission support. I apologize for our late arrival."
Chen Rui nodded gratefully. "It's alright; we can still hold on."
Zhao Yunshan quickly directed his team to secure the area, ensuring no enemies remained. He surveyed the surroundings with a serious expression. "The Old Forces are larger than we anticipated. They have set up multiple defensive lines around us; it seems their goal is to eliminate you completely."
Erin clenched her fists, her eyes flashing with anger and defiance. "We can't wait any longer; we must expose the Old Crimes as soon as possible, or more people will suffer persecution."
Zhao Yunshan nodded firmly. "The Alliance has already begun operations; evidence is being compiled. Once we have solid proof, we will immediately make the Old Crimes public."
After a brief rest, the Alliance Members swiftly led Chen Rui and Erin to a more concealed safe house, avoiding all major roads to prevent being tracked again. With the support of the Alliance, hope gradually rose in Chen Rui and Erin's hearts.
Upon reaching the safe house, Zhao Yunshan brought Chen Rui and Erin into a secret conference room where the core members of the Alliance had already gathered. Each of them wore serious expressions, clearly having prepared for the Old Forces.
Zhao Yunshan stood at the conference table and spoke. "Everyone, this is Chen Rui and Erin; they hold crucial evidence against the Old Forces. Tonight's operation was successful, but we must act quickly to organize all evidence and prepare for immediate exposure."
Erin placed the documents she held on the table and recounted their findings to the Alliance Members, detailing information about the Old Criminal Network, Illegal Trade, and Violent Rule. Each word she spoke deepened the gravity of their expressions.
"The Old Forces not only control the Special Zone Gang Forces but have also infiltrated the Police System and various Government Departments," Erin continued passionately. "Their influence far exceeds our expectations; they can easily suppress any opposition."
Silence fell over the conference room as Alliance Members exchanged glances, shock and anger evident on their faces. Zhao Yunshan spoke first: "The Old Crimes must not continue; we have a responsibility to bring him to justice and restore fairness to the Special Zone."
At that moment, an Alliance Member burst through the door, looking tense as he reported, "Commander Zhao, we've just received word that the Old Forces have begun large-scale operations; they seem to be hunting us down."
Zhao Yunshan nodded calmly and quickly issued orders: "All squads must evacuate immediately; maintain radio silence and do not reveal your locations. All core members head to Backup Point."
Realizing the urgency of the situation, Chen Rui and Erin followed suit without hesitation as they moved towards Backup Point. Along the way, they couldn't help but ask Zhao Yunshan, "Since the Old Forces already know about our actions, aren't you worried about retaliation?"
Zhao Yunshan replied solemnly, "Retaliation is inevitable; we are prepared for it. No matter how strong the Old Forces are, they cannot be flawless. As long as we find a breakthrough point, we will surely expose their dark schemes."
Under the cover of night, Alliance Members began their operations. They organized all evidence into documents and planned to release them online to the public. Chen Rui and Erin were assigned to a secret location for monitoring and support.
Hours later, news came from the core base of the Alliance that all evidence had been backed up and was ready for release. Chen Rui felt a mix of tension and anticipation in his heart; he knew this would be a difficult battle, but he had never felt so resolute.
As dawn broke, the Alliance's operation quietly commenced.
