"Black Hawk, your plan ends here." Chen Rui raised his gun, aiming at Black Hawk with unwavering determination in his eyes.
Black Hawk chuckled softly, slowly raising the remote control in his hand. "Do you really think you can stop me? The Dark Tide Plan has already been initiated; there’s nothing you can do to prevent it."
As soon as he finished speaking, Black Hawk pressed the remote, and the screens in the command center lit up, displaying several countdown timers. Each screen showed the name of a different city, with the countdown numbers rapidly ticking down—this was the final phase of the Dark Tide Plan.
"You are bringing about your own destruction," Chen Rui said coldly.
Black Hawk laughed maniacally. "Destruction? No, your country will descend into chaos like never before. When order collapses, only I will be able to rebuild the world’s order!"
With the countdown approaching its end, Chen Rui knew he had to act quickly to stop everything. He dashed toward the control panel, searching for a way to terminate the Dark Tide Plan.
At that moment, Black Hawk pulled out a gun and aimed it at Chen Rui. The two engaged in an intense standoff, bullets whizzing through the confined space as metallic clashes echoed around them. Chen Rui moved swiftly, using the control panel for cover while maneuvering against Black Hawk, who took advantage of his familiarity with the terrain to gain a strategic position.
Eileen and the other team members nervously operated the control panel nearby, trying to crack Black Hawk's countdown system. Time ticked away, and the countdown on the screen was nearing zero.
Just when it seemed all hope was lost, Zhao Yunshan led an external squad into the command center, joining forces with Chen Rui. Together, they cornered Black Hawk, who finally revealed a look of unwillingness on his face.
"You cannot stop me!" Black Hawk gasped, his eyes gleaming with madness.
"The game is over, Black Hawk," Chen Rui said coldly before firing a shot that hit Black Hawk in the shoulder, incapacitating him completely.
At that moment, Eileen successfully hacked into the countdown system and halted the final steps of the Dark Tide Plan. The countdown on the screen reached zero, and all bombs and virus release devices were remotely disabled—the crisis was finally averted.
As Black Hawk was taken away by team members, he glared at Chen Rui with an intense focus as if still plotting something sinister in his mind.
"You won't win, Chen Rui. This is just the beginning," Black Hawk growled softly.
Chen Rui merely looked at him coldly, filled with disdain and anger towards this deranged enemy.
The battle on the island had finally come to an end; the Dark Tide Plan was thoroughly dismantled, and Black Hawk was captured. Chen Rui and his team returned to the Special Zone with news of their victory. Yet in Chen Rui's heart, he could not fully relax. He knew that remnants of the Shadow Alliance still lurked in the shadows, and Black Hawk's mention of a beginning hinted at greater conspiracies ahead.
Upon arriving at the Special Zone, Chen Rui stood atop a high-rise building overlooking the brightly lit streets below. He silently vowed: no matter how powerful the enemy might be or how treacherous the road ahead seemed, he would protect this land until his last breath.
