Once the plan was confirmed, preparations for the operation commenced immediately in the Special Zone. After several days of deployment, a Special Operations Team equipped with advanced infiltration gear gathered outside the Forbidden Zone. Chen Rui personally led the team while Lin Xi was responsible for remote support, monitoring all movements around Heijing.
On the night of the operation, darkness enveloped the deep mountains of the Forbidden Zone, and the entire area was silent. The unmanned reconnaissance drones from the Special Zone silently cut through the night sky, deliberately hovering around Heijing to attract attention from its defense systems. Meanwhile, Chen Rui led his Squad in from another side, using infrared jamming equipment to evade surveillance cameras and cautiously approached Heijing's entrance.
The entrance to Heijing was hidden behind a massive rock wall, almost blending seamlessly with the surrounding terrain. If they hadn't known its specific location in advance, they would have found it nearly impossible to discover this secret passage. The entrance was equipped with a biometric system that only allowed members of the Shadow Alliance to enter. However, Lin Xi had already prepared a disguise device that simulated biological signals, allowing Chen Rui and others to pass through.
Once inside Heijing, Chen Rui discovered that the internal structure of this base was even more complex than anticipated. Inside Heijing were narrow corridors lined with cameras and infrared sensors; security checkpoints were located every few dozen meters. The entire base was designed like a labyrinth, clearly intended to prevent any intruders from advancing further.
Chen Rui led his team carefully forward, avoiding patrolling enemies as they gradually delved deeper along the corridors. Their target was Heijing's Core Control Room—the most likely hiding place for You Lang. As they approached the Core Area, security within the base intensified; more guards began patrolling the hallways.
Halfway through their operation, Chen Rui heard Lin Xi's voice through his earpiece: "Chen Rui, be careful! I just detected an upgrade in Heijing's security system; it seems they have detected anomalies. You need to speed up and avoid being discovered!"
"Chen Rui," this is a signal that You Lang has sensed our actions in the Special Zone," he immediately signaled his team to accelerate their advance. At the end of the corridor, they finally found a heavy security door leading into Heijing's control center. However, this door was heavily encrypted and could not be opened through conventional means.
"Lin Xi, can you hack this door remotely?" Chen Rui asked nervously.
Lin Xi quickly began her operations and replied: "The encryption level on this door is very high; I need a few minutes to unlock it—try not to expose yourselves."
Taking a deep breath, Chen Rui stood guard at the door while covering his teammates as they prepared for an ambush. As Lin Xi worked on unlocking it, the security door slowly opened, revealing a corridor leading into the control room. The Squad swiftly entered, ready for a face-off with You Lang.
