Lin Xi and Zhou Zheng arrived at the evacuation point first. It was an abandoned subway tunnel, surrounded by decaying wooden planks and rusty tracks. Although it looked dilapidated, the complex terrain provided them with a temporary hiding place. 0

"Will Chen Rui make it?" Zhou Zheng asked nervously. 0

"He will," Lin Xi replied, her tone filled with unwavering confidence. She took out a Sniper Rifle, crouched at a high point, and began searching for Chen Rui's position while providing cover for him. 0

Moments later, through the night vision scope, she spotted a familiar figure—Chen Rui was running swiftly, pursued by a relentless squad of Abyss Warriors. 0

"Almost there, just hold on!" Lin Xi whispered as she aimed at an enemy and pulled the trigger. 0

The sniper bullet struck the head of an Abyss Warrior with precision. Although it didn't completely destroy it, it successfully delayed its movement. 0

When Chen Rui finally burst into the evacuation point, he nearly fell to the ground. Breathing heavily, he loaded his remaining ammunition into his gun and said to Lin Xi and Zhou Zheng, "They’re too close on our heels; we need to leave immediately." 0

"This way," Lin Xi pointed to a dimly lit subway tunnel, the only exit to the outside world. 0

The three quickly entered the tunnel. The dim lights and damp air felt oppressive. They tried to minimize their footsteps, but the metallic sounds of the approaching Abyss Warriors made their hearts race. 0

"We're going to be caught!" Zhou Zheng whispered, despair evident in his voice. 0

"No way," Chen Rui said firmly. He stopped and opened his communication device to contact Director Zhao. "Director, we've entered the tunnel; the enemy is right behind us. Can you arrange for air support?" 0

Director Zhao's voice came through: "Air support will take time, but I can send a team to assist you." 0

"That's too slow!" Chen Rui gritted his teeth. "We need a way to block our pursuers." 0

Lin Xi thought for a moment and suddenly suggested, "What if we blow up the tunnel? At least it would buy us some time." 0

"Are you sure?" Zhou Zheng asked in surprise. "If we do that, we might get trapped too!" 0

"Stop talking nonsense; this might be our only chance," Chen Rui said coldly. "Lin Xi, you choose where to set the explosion." 0

Lin Xi nodded and quickly surveyed the surroundings. She finally selected a support beam: "Right here; if we blow this pillar, part of the tunnel will collapse but won’t completely block our escape." 0

Chen Rui swiftly set up the remaining explosives. After setting the timer, the three hurried deeper into the tunnel. 0

When the timer hit zero, a violent explosion echoed through the tunnel, sending dust and debris flying. The footsteps behind them suddenly ceased as their pursuers were buried under the collapsing rubble. 0

"We did it!" Zhou Zheng couldn't help but cheer, but Lin Xi remained tense: "Don’t celebrate too soon; they won’t give up easily." 0

Chen Rui nodded calmly and said, "Keep moving forward; finding the rescue team is key." 0

In the dim tunnel, their figures gradually faded away while behind them, something stirred among the rubble left by the explosion. 0
