The Rising Machine jolted violently through the night sky, the air inside the cabin tense to the point of suffocation. Lin Xi quickly checked the ammunition reserves and said coldly, "If their attack frequency increases any further, we will definitely make it to the Backup Base." 0

"We can't wait for them to close in; we need to strike first," Chen Rui whispered, his fingers tapping on the terminal screen. "I'm trying to crack the signal from that communicator to see if we can trace its source or disrupt their command system." 0

Director Zhao stood at the cockpit door, his gaze stern as he looked out the window. In the night sky, a Mechanical Warrior was closely pursuing them, its blue flames standing out starkly against the darkness. 0

"We'll reach the Backup Base in ten minutes," Director Zhao told the pilot. "Do your best to evade their pursuit, but if they get too close, activate the Counterattack System." 0

"Understood!" The pilot replied calmly, his hands steady on the controls. 0

Just then, the Radar emitted another alarm, and two new targets appeared on the screen, approaching rapidly. 0

"Two more Mechanical Warriors have appeared!" Zhou Zheng shouted in panic. "They're faster than the last one!" 0

Chen Rui furrowed his brow and quickly switched screens for a better view. "They're trying to encircle us; it looks like they're attempting to intercept us before we reach the Backup Base." 0

"They're not just chasing us mindlessly," Lin Xi said gravely. "This feels more like a meticulously planned hunt." 0

Director Zhao's expression grew even more serious as he glanced at his companions in the cabin. "We might not make it to the Backup Base. If they surround us, this Rising Machine will become a moving coffin." 0

"What do we do then?" Zhou Zheng asked anxiously. "Jump out? Or should we fight back?" 0

"If they're hunting us, then we can turn the tables," Director Zhao said coldly. "Set traps and lure them into our attack range." 0

Chen Rui immediately caught on. "You mean we should choose our battlefield on the ground? Use the terrain to counterattack?" 0

"Exactly." Director Zhao nodded. "There's an Abandoned Factory Site nearby with complex terrain that's perfect for an ambush. We can set up a surprise attack there." 0

"This is a gamble with our lives," Lin Xi said expressionlessly, though a spark of battle intent ignited in her eyes. "But it might be our only chance." 0

"Let’s take that gamble," Chen Rui took a deep breath and continued flying. "As long as they're still chasing us, we have a chance to fight back." 0

The Rising Machine swiftly changed course toward the Abandoned Factory Area. 0

Soon after, they finally reached their target location—a desolate industrial area surrounded by dense forest. Rusted iron frames, collapsed buildings, and tangled pipes made the entire Area appear dilapidated. 0

"Prepare for landing," Director Zhao commanded. "Once everyone disembarks, scatter immediately and follow the planned actions." 0

The pilot skillfully maneuvered the Rising Machine and landed steadily in an open space. Lin Xi, Chen Rui, and Zhou Zheng quickly jumped out of the aircraft, with Director Zhao being the last to leave, carrying a portable command terminal. 0

"The targets will arrive in five minutes," Chen Rui said as he looked at the terminal screen. "We don’t have much time." 0

"Lin Xi, go set up obstacles on the west side of the factory to delay their movements; Chen Rui, you’re responsible for planting explosives in the Central Control Room—detonate them once they enter the Core Area; Zhou Zheng, stay outside and snipe to prevent them from spreading out." Director Zhao quickly assigned tasks with an authoritative tone. 0

"Understood!" The three responded in unison and swiftly got to work. 0

Five minutes later, the three Mechanical Warriors arrived as promised. They swiftly maneuvered through the forest, their blue sensors scanning the surroundings in the darkness, quickly locking onto the clearing where the Rising Machine had landed. 0

They entered. Lin Xi reported in a low voice through the wireless earpiece, noting that two were approaching from the west while one advanced from the front. 0
