Director Zhao picked up an armor-piercing round and calmly aimed at the core of the Abyss Hunter before pulling the trigger.
Boom!
The armor-piercing round struck true, and the Abyss Hunter's core exploded in an instant. Its massive body collapsed amidst a flash of electric light.
The battle was finally over.
The group collapsed onto the ruins, utterly exhausted.
"Did we win?" Zhou Zheng panted, gasping for breath.
"Only temporarily," Director Zhao replied coldly as he stood up. "The plans of the dark forces are far more complex than we imagined; this was merely one of their test subjects."
If this is just a test subject, what will come next?
No one answered this question. Only the distant sky revealed a faint, ominous red glow, as if foretelling a greater storm brewing.
