The turmoil in the council hall has just subsided, but Lin Yi's thoughts are as turbulent as the surging river, difficult to calm. He knows deeply that to establish himself in the power struggles of the Tang Dynasty's court, his own efforts alone are far from enough. "Tai BaiBrother, I hope you are well." Lin Yi responded with a smile, "Are you getting used to the court?"
"Used to it, used to it." Li Bai laughed, "It's just that there are too many rules in the palace, not as free as in the rivers and lakes."

"Tai Bai Xiong, I have a favor to ask," Lin Yi suddenly remembered something and spoke up. "I want to make connections with more ministers in the court and build a wide network. I wonder if Tai Bai Xiong can help me with this?"
"What's so difficult about that?" Li Bai readily agreed, "Yi, you can rest assured. I will definitely introduce you to some loyal and upright officials in the court."
In the following days, under Li Bai's introduction, Lin Yi met many high-ranking officials in the court. They were either literary or martial, loyal or treacherous, but all expressed admiration for Lin Yi's talent and courage. Through these interactions, Lin Yi gradually learned how to deal with people of different personalities and backgrounds, and established his own network of contacts.
One day, Lin Yi was invited to attend a birthday banquet for a high-ranking official. The banquet was attended by many distinguished guests. Lin Yi moved among the guests, engaging in lively conversations. Suddenly, he noticed a distinguished official in splendid attire sitting alone in a corner, sipping tea. Lin Yi was intrigued and went over to strike up a conversation.
"This gentleman, I am An Lushan, pleased to meet you," Lin Yi bowed and saluted.
"Oh? So you are Lord An," the official raised his head, smiled and responded, "I have long heard of Lord An's name, and today to meet you is truly fortunate."
After some pleasantries, they sat down to drink tea. In their conversation, Lin Yi learned that the official's name was Wang Changling, a highly esteemed poet in the court. Both of them shared a strong interest in poetry, and began to discuss the art of poetry.
"Lord Wang, I believe the essence of poetry lies in expressing one's emotions and feelings," Lin Yi spoke up.
"Brother Yi, you are absolutely right," Wang Changling nodded in agreement, "However, I think poetry also needs to focus on the beauty of rhythm and rhyme. Only then can it be more melodious and moving."
The two of them discussed the way of poetry, exchanging ideas and opinions, and before they knew it, an hour had passed. In this brief conversation, Lin Yi not only made a like-minded friend, but also learned many techniques and insights into poetry creation from Wang Changling.
From then on, Lin Yi and Wang Changling became close friends. They often enjoyed tea together, discussed literature, and composed poetry. With Wang Changling's help, Lin Yi's poetic skills improved day by day. This friendship also became an important support for Lin Yi's standing in the court.
