Lin Rumei from the Kong Island Qinghe Society was also a significant force there.
The Azure Green Society had been entrenched on Hong Kong Island for a long time. Although they had been low-key in recent years, they still engaged in shady dealings. Such forces existed not only on Earth but also in the Xiu Xian World; wherever there are people, there are bound to be underworld forces. Jiang Chen generally preferred to stay out of such matters unless they directly involved him, especially on Earth, and particularly in Huaxia.
As Jiang Chen and Ding Yan boarded the cruise ship, which had many departures throughout the day to Hong Kong Island, Ding Yan, a stunning mixed-race beauty over 1.7 meters tall, attracted quite a few glances in her summer shorts and tank top, showcasing her alluring figure.
"Jingzhu, look! That seems to be Jiang Chen," a voice suddenly called out from behind.
With his keen hearing, Jiang Chen turned around to see Lin Jingzhu and a group of people boarding the ship as well. Upon spotting him, Lin Jingzhu's face lit up with joy as she excitedly ran over.
"Jiang Chen! What are you doing here? Are you also going to Hong Kong Island for vacation?" Lin Jingzhu asked with a smile.
"Well, I suppose it's a vacation. It seems quite coincidental that we run into each other here," Jiang Chen replied with a grin.
Lin Jingzhu blushed slightly and said shyly, "School's about to end for summer break, so I don't have many classes left. A classmate organized this trip for us. We chose a five-day tour of Hong Kong Island and Aodao. We've almost finished exploring Aodao and have three days left to enjoy Hong Kong Island. Since it's a vacation, let's go together!"
As Lin Jingzhu spoke, her classmates continued to board the ship. The one who had just spoken was Zhou Xuemei, who had traveled around West Lake with Jiang Chen before.
"Hey, Jiang Chen! You and Jingzhu really have fate; running into each other here!" Zhou Xuemei said cheerfully as she was already familiar with Jiang Chen.
"Xue Mei, you ran into him too," Lin Jingzhu said happily but still tried to rein in her excitement.
Out of politeness, Jiang Chen smiled at Zhou Xuemei as a greeting.
"Handsome Jiang, who is this beautiful lady beside you?" Zhou Xuemei asked upon noticing Ding Yan standing next to him.
Lin Jingzhu couldn't help but glance at Ding Yan. Seeing how tall and beautiful Ding Yan was made Lin Jingzhu feel somewhat ashamed of herself.
"I’m a friend of Mr. Jiang," Ding Yan explained.
Jiang Chen smiled, acknowledging her statement without needing to say much more to Zhou Xuemei and the others.
Zhou Xuemei nudged Lin Jingzhu with her elbow, wearing a knowing expression that made Lin Jingzhu uneasy. In Zhou Xuemei's eyes, Jiang Chen was Lin Jingzhu's boyfriend, and being with another woman naturally felt off.
Lin Jingzhu felt a bit awkward. Although she had once been Jiang Chen's girlfriend and still had feelings for him, she understood that with Jiang Chen's current capabilities, he had likely moved on from her. During their university days, Lin Jingzhu had often mentioned Jiang Chen in front of Zhou Xuemei, so Zhou Xuemei was well aware of Lin Jingzhu's feelings.
