"What’s wrong, Brother Wang? How did this kid become the supervisor? What about Li Jian?" 0

I just stepped out when Xu Jiao asked Wang Meng, and I heard everything clearly from outside the door. 0

Oh, Li Jian was removed and replaced by him. Xu Jiao, I think this kid has a bit of a crush on you. You should know, he’s not simple. Can you do me a favor? 0

Wang Meng responded simply to Xu Jiao and then asked. Xu Jiao's confused voice rang out again. 0

What? Li Jian was removed? Does this kid have some backing? That doesn’t seem right. If he had backing, how could you have hit him that day? 0

Oh, don’t worry about that. I just want you to help me with something. Can you do that? 0

Wang Meng asked directly, and Xu Jiao continued, "Helping is easy, but looking at it now, this kid seems to have some strong backing. Even you need to curry favor with him?" 0

Xu Jiao kept asking, clearly understanding that the favor Wang Meng wanted was for her to sleep with me. Her logic seemed to be that if Wang Meng wanted her to accompany me in bed, then he must need to flatter me, which would allow her imagination to run wild about my supposed backing. 0

Well, that kid’s backing is indeed strong, but I don’t know much about him right now. I just want you to get closer to him and learn more about him—everything down to the smallest detail—especially since he has an older brother. But remember, don’t let him know I’m the one asking you to find out. 0

Wang Meng didn’t clarify why he wanted to inquire about me. Since Xu Jiao assumed my backing was strong, Wang Meng casually mentioned it as well. It wasn’t important; at least not for me or Wang Meng. 0

Ah, I see! Alright then, Manager Wang, don’t worry. I’ll handle this for you. 0

Xu Jiao replied cheerfully, her voice carrying a hint of excitement. Wang Meng said my backing was strong and also mentioned having Xu Jiao investigate my brother. What would she think? She would definitely assume I had an impressive brother! Being associated with me would be beneficial for her; she was happy about it. 0

I chuckled at this thought and turned to leave. After going downstairs, I found a quiet spot, took out my phone, and started playing a game. Before long, Xu Jiao came down. 0

Oh! Dong Ge, are you playing a game here? What are you playing? 0

Xu Jiao sat down next to me in a very close manner, so close that I could feel her chest pressing against my arm. 0

Uh, it’s Honor of Kings! 0

I seemed a bit nervous at that moment. I noticed many servers glancing over at us with puzzled expressions. They mostly knew that the last time I got beaten by Wang Meng was because of Xu Jiao. Even though I had become a supervisor now, it really had nothing to do with Xu Jiao; she didn’t need to flatter me at all. So they were surprised and confused, but no one would explain anything—let their imaginations run wild. 0

Oh, this game is really popular right now! I’m playing it too; why don’t we team up? 0

Xu Jiao said with a smile as she leaned in close. I could see her face clearly; there was no denying that Xu Jiao was indeed very beautiful and charming. She had a great figure too. During my undercover days, many women tried to flirt with me, but I never acted on it because I had seen too many men who fell victim to women like her—it wasn’t worth it for someone so promiscuous. 0

Sure! 0

I agreed and then teamed up with Xu Jiao for a match in Honor of Kings. Frustratingly, since I rarely played normally and was matched with experts in ranked games alongside her—I ended up dragging us down. 0

By the way, are you a Buddhist? 0

After playing for a while, Xu Jiao looked at me when I asked her something. I shook my head and honestly admitted that I felt a bit guilty for tricking someone, but what did that have to do with believing in Buddha? 0

"Then why don't you kill alone?" 0

Cough, cough! 0

I felt instantly embarrassed after hearing that. What a joke! Impressive! 0

"Haha, alright then. The car is unloaded, and I should get going. How about we meet at Bel Restaurant at five this evening?" 0

Xu Jiao smiled and said, and I nodded in agreement. "Five o'clock it is, Bel it is!" 0

"Good, remember not to stand me up." 0

Before leaving, Xu Jiao playfully touched my face and swayed her graceful figure away from Tianchi. Watching her retreating silhouette, a smile crept onto my lips. 0

Bel Restaurant was nearby; it was a Western restaurant. Now that I had developed a relationship with Xu Jiao, her little ledger was practically in my pocket. 0

Time passed slowly, and before I knew it, it was afternoon. Other than browsing the internet on my phone, I had nothing else to do. After Xu Jiao left, I received numerous congratulations from some waitstaff eager to curry favor with me for "winning over" Xu Jiao. Some even thoughtfully prepared condoms for me. 0

I just smiled in response, offering no explanations and declining their thoughtful gifts. By five o'clock in the evening, I clocked out of work. 0

"Alright, you guys keep an eye on things," I said to them. 0

Earlier, I had mentioned to Xiao Dao that if I were to take revenge on Xu Jiao, Wang Meng might not be pleased. Xiao Dao nodded in agreement but didn’t say much more. His personality was rather quiet and reserved; he had a way of making you feel like you couldn’t get a word out of him. Even when I had successfully gotten close to Xu Jiao, he didn’t seem overly interested. 0

But while he might be quiet, there were plenty of others who weren’t. As I changed clothes and prepared to leave, several people offered me thoughtful little gifts—quite an assortment—but I ignored them all and headed straight to Bel Restaurant. 0

"Dong Ge! Over here!" 0

As soon as I entered Bel Restaurant, I spotted Xu Jiao waving at me from near the bar. It wasn’t that I was late; she had arrived early. 0

"Oh, you’re here so early! I rushed over right after work and didn’t expect you to beat me here." 0

I greeted Xu Jiao with a smile. She seemed to have dressed up intentionally for tonight—a sexy black dress that wasn’t too revealing but looked quite nice. 0

"I just got here too." 0

Xu Jiao smiled gently at me and had the waiter find us a window-side table. Once seated, she politely asked me to order food with a hint of shyness; if one didn’t know better, they might think she was some kind of virtuous woman. In reality, this was all part of her act—courteous yet unable to hide her sultry charm; she was quite the seasoned player. 0

I casually ordered two set meals and returned the menu to the waiter. Upon hearing that I hadn’t ordered any drinks, Xu Jiao asked playfully, "Dong Ge, why didn’t you order any wine? It’s such a happy occasion; don’t you want to drink with me?" 0

As she spoke, she shot me a flirtatious glance that made her look even more alluring. If only her face had flushed just a little bit while saying that—it would have been even more tempting! 0

"Drink? I can’t handle alcohol very well." 0

As soon as I heard about the drinks, I felt a bit helpless. But in reality, I could outdrink her easily. Being a man from the Northeast, having mingled with the underworld there, how could I not have a decent tolerance for alcohol? 0

But why did I say that? It's all part of the game! 0

"Oh, I can't hold my liquor very well," I said. "Let's just drink a little less then. Drinking without any fun is really pointless." 0

Xu Jiao replied, and after hearing her, I could only nod reluctantly and said, "Alright then." Xu Jiao ordered a bottle of red wine that I hadn't mentioned before. 0

The dinner was nothing special; Xu Jiao kept flirting with me, and I often played along, pretending to be a bit foolish. After all, if someone came out to have dinner with you, you couldn't just let them entertain themselves, could you? 0

However, after a few glasses of wine, I started to slur my words. 0

"No, I can't take it anymore. I'm really done for tonight," I said about the wine. Xu Jiao urged me to drink more, but in my hazy state, I refused. Pretending to be drunk was something I excelled at; back when I was undercover, it was something I often did. 0

"Come on, Dong Ge! You've barely had any! What's the point of that?" she insisted. "I don't care what you say; I'm going to drink! If you don’t give me face, I'll be unhappy!" 0

As she spoke, she downed a glass of wine in one go. Seeing this made me think for a moment before I raised my glass and finished it in one gulp as well! But soon after that, I was done for—too much to drink—I slumped over the table and stopped moving. 0

"Hey, Dong Ge? Dong Ge? Have you really had too much? You just drank a little!" Xu Jiao pushed me gently but I didn't budge. It reminded me of a saying: You can never wake someone who pretends to be asleep. 0

Damn it, this is ridiculous. 0

After pushing me a couple of times without success, Xu Jiao muttered softly. As I lay there on the table, my lips curled into a smirk. Now that I was drunk, she probably wouldn’t keep up her act anymore. 0

Afterward, Xu Jiao called for the bill and had the waiter help me out of the restaurant. 0

"Wow, sir didn’t drink much at all; how come he’s so drunk?" the waiter asked in confusion. "Red wine isn’t that intoxicating; sharing a bottle between two people leaves some left over. This drinking capacity is truly impressive." 0

What’s with all the chatter? Just help me out properly! 0

To my surprise, once I was drunk, Xu Jiao immediately changed her demeanor—she became quite assertive! She wasn’t as polite as before and scolded the waiter until he didn’t dare make a sound while helping me out of the restaurant. Once outside, she took me straight into a taxi heading to the hotel. This girl was clearly planning to sleep with me. 0

But tonight, I had no intention of going that far; considering the time, it was about time for me to head home and spend time with my wife. 0
