"Lu Xian, you really shouldn’t go. The matters at Tian Ye Group are relatively minor. You and your brother should stay with Qing Gang to help your father," Aunt Wu finally spoke up, perhaps sensing something from Lu Fei.

"Little brother, I just returned to Shanghai and to our Lu Family. Don't be shy; if you need anything, just call your big brother," Lu Fei said with a smile. But could I really trust his kindness?
Once he left, I began searching the room and, sure enough, I found listening devices hidden away! Without a doubt, there would be some in my car as well. This was Lu Fei's true intention. Even though I was the least capable of the third sons, I was still Lu Ding Tian's son. No matter what I did or didn't do, my existence had some influence on them. It was no surprise that Lu Fei wanted to quickly learn about me.
Discovering these devices removed any threat they posed to me. In the days that followed, my life revolved around drinking and chasing women. It was an incredibly carefree existence. I rarely went to Qing Gang or got involved in their affairs; I didn't want to appear overly interested in their matters since it wouldn't benefit me at all.
Perhaps when Lu Fei and Lu Xian realized my indifference towards Qing Gang, they would come to me for help with their tasks. It was simple: as the third son of the Lu Family, I had their trust and some standing outside; getting things done would be easy.
I continued living my carefree life while occasionally inquiring about Tian Ye Group and how my friends were doing. After being rescued by Qu Youyang, Liu Sen and Wan Fei had left Huaxia; they must have gone to Molly's place. They knew I hadn't died but were unaware of my whereabouts.
Zheng Yu remained with Tian Ye Group; his identity had not been exposed, nor had any undercover police been revealed. It was worth noting that Du Tao knew I had connections within the party—why didn’t he expose it?
The answer was simple: Hongmen hadn’t fallen out with the police. Although it was clear to anyone that Hongmen had betrayed me, they would certainly deny it to the police, seeking excuses and justifications. The police might have chosen to continue cooperating with Hongmen for now, which is why Hongmen wouldn’t let Du Tao expose any undercover officers; doing so would provoke the police beyond measure.
Knowing that Zheng Yu and my brothers were safe eased my mind as I began my life of leisure.

"Third Brother, have you been enjoying yourself this past month?" he asked with a smile from the sofa in my villa, looking every bit the big brother.

"Not bad at all; thanks to big brother's care, I've been living quite freely," I replied cheerfully, trying to play the part of someone blissfully unaware of the world’s complexities.
"That's good to hear."
Lu Fei first smiled and responded, then said, "Third Brother, being happy and joyful is certainly good, but the men of the Lu Family must have some strength. Father mentioned to me the other day that playing around like this isn't a solution. He wants me to train you a bit; I wonder what you think about that?"
Lu Fei looked at me with a smile as he asked.
Hearing this, I secretly thought of him as an old fox. What is he pretending for? He just wants me to help him with his tasks.
Of course, I had no objections and told Lu Fei that I would do whatever he arranged. Lu Fei was very pleased to hear this and took me out for a day of fun, buying me many gifts. His generosity was evident, including a Lamborghini and a yacht.
The reason he showered me with gifts was simply to ensure that I remembered the kindness of this older brother, so I could better serve him in the future.

Lu Fei and Lu Xian didn’t seem to show any particular attitude towards Lu Ding Tian's praise of me. It was simple; the small tasks I completed in a day were nothing compared to the significant matters they dealt with.
"Dad, have you heard? Uncle Tiger has become the Enforcement Hall Master. In just a few months, his wealth has skyrocketed several times!" Lu Fei said while eating. Upon hearing this, Lu Ding Tian frowned immediately.
"What did you say? Is that true?"
Lu Ding Tian clearly seemed displeased. The Enforcement Hall Master position is quite lucrative; it's easy to gain substantial connections from there.
When the Qu Family held that position, it was managed by Qu Zhan, their servant. After Qu Youyang's death, Qu Zhan's whereabouts became unknown. Now this Tiger is the newly appointed Enforcement Hall Master by Lu Ding Tian.
"It’s true. That position has always been held by someone from our family in Qing Gang; it's not reliable for outsiders to take it," Lu Fei said as he set down his bowl and chopsticks, looking as if he wanted to take action himself. If Lu Fei could become the Enforcement Hall Master now, his prestige would increase significantly, making him the likely candidate for the next Qing Gang Leader.
"Dad, how about I go for it? I can definitely manage the Enforcement Hall well."
At that moment, Lu Xian suddenly spoke up. Both he and Lu Fei held similar prestige in Qing Gang. Although Lu Fei had slightly more capability, he lacked a mother figure; however, Lu Xian's mother whispered in Lu Ding Tian's ear daily and was no simple character herself. Moreover, Lu Xian's abilities were not weak either.
"Second Brother, you shouldn't go; your personality is too impulsive. You can't handle the work at the Enforcement Hall," Lu Fei immediately replied. Naturally, both of them wanted to compete for that position.
"Well then, big brother, I think you’re not suitable either. You’re busy every day and haven’t even handled many things properly yet. Look at Liu Shu’s situation and Wang Shu’s matter; they’re all on your plate now. You’re too busy; let me take care of these small matters," Lu Xian said, clearly not harboring good intentions as he pointed out two issues where Lu Fei had not performed well.
From what I knew, Liu Shu and Wang Shu were both loyal to Lu Fei. Recently they had been caught by people from Lu Xian while doing some unsavory tasks for him and it had come to light. To protect his subordinates, Lu Fei had claimed he would handle it himself but had yet to resolve it completely.
