Mark was indeed a frequent visitor to Hong Kong Island and was quite familiar with the situation there. The Golden Coast Resort Hotel was owned by the Azure Green Society, specifically Lin Rumei, Miss Lin. It was no surprise that these individuals were acting so brazenly; they were clearly members of the Azure Green Society.
Moreover, Mark had some connections on Hong Kong Island. Although he didn't know the true upper echelons of society, these people before him were hardly high-ranking; at most, they were minor leaders within the Azure Green Society.
"I’m friends with Brother Xiong from your Azure Green Society. We’ve had meals and drinks together before; we’re all friends here. Why don’t we just let this matter slide? I’ll treat you all to dinner another time," Mark said with a smile.
"What’s your name?" the middle-aged man asked as he sized up Mark.
"My name is Mark, and I’m from Great Britain," Mark replied politely. Many foreigners looked alike to the Huaxia people, and since Hong Kong Island had once been a British colony, Mark emphasized his British identity to assert his superiority.
"I’ll make a call to check," the middle-aged man said indifferently as he picked up his phone and dialed a number.
Seeing the middle-aged man making a call for confirmation, Mark felt relieved. He turned to Lin Jingzhu and Zhou Xuemei and said, "It’s fine; I know some people here on Hong Kong Island. He will give me face, so you don’t need to worry."
After hanging up, the middle-aged man’s expression remained unchanged as he said, "Brother Xiong said to give you some face; let’s just consider this matter settled for tonight."
"Thank you very much!" Mark exclaimed joyfully, feeling exhilarated. He had been under Jiang Chen's pressure all day and finally found an opportunity to breathe easy, shaking off the previous frustrations.
Zhou Xuemei and the others also sighed in relief.
"We’re leaving," the middle-aged man said flatly before turning to leave, not wanting to engage further with Mark's group. This incident could have escalated significantly, but since Mark had some connections, it was best to let it go.
Just when everyone thought the matter was resolved, a voice slowly rang out as they turned to leave.
"Don’t rush off just yet."
The speaker was none other than Jiang Chen.
Hearing Jiang Chen’s words, Mark and the others changed their expressions dramatically. Mark glared at Jiang Chen in anger, nearly ready to curse him out. Just when he thought he had sent these troublemakers away, Jiang Chen had the audacity to try and hold them back—wasn’t that asking for trouble?
"What do you want, Jiang Chen?" Mark asked with a frown and a serious tone.
The Azure Green Society members also turned around. Upon seeing Jiang Chen, their expressions remained indifferent; they didn’t take him seriously.
"What’s going on?" the middle-aged man asked Jiang Chen impatiently.
"Your son kicked a ball that hit my friend. What do you think should be done about it?" Jiang Chen replied calmly while sitting in his chair.
"Jiang Chen, let’s just drop this matter; don’t get involved," Zhou Xuemei quickly rushed over to Jiang Chen and whispered urgently.
"If their son is unruly and has no one to discipline him, then I’ll take it upon myself to do so," Jiang Chen replied with a faint smile.
The middle-aged couple's expressions darkened significantly as they grew displeased, especially seeing Jiang Chen’s nonchalant demeanor as if they didn’t matter at all—it infuriated them greatly.
"What are you even supposed to be? Who are you to discipline my son?" the middle-aged man shouted angrily.
“Ding Yan, what do you think we should do with disobedient children?” Jiang Chen asked, ignoring the middle-aged man.
“Leave it to me; I’ll take care of this little brat,” Ding Yan replied with a smile, fully understanding Jiang Chen's intent. Having entered the Shadow Assassin Organization's training camp at a young age, Ding Yan knew that any disobedient child there was taught to behave obediently.
