"That's right, the dagger has been found and should now be at the police station. I must remind you that your fingerprints are on it. While you can forge her suicide note, you cannot erase the evidence you've left behind," Puppet Man said, shaking his legs atop his head. 0

"The dagger has been handed over to the police. Doesn't that mean they can quickly trace it back to me? What should I do? Yes, let's go, we need to leave now!" Lu Jin was in a panic, rushing toward the door. Suddenly, Puppet Man appeared in front of him, blocking his path. The head of Fang Xia with her long black hair leaned closer to Lu Jin, causing his legs to weaken as he half-kneeled on the ground. 0

"You don't need to be afraid. This head is just like me; it's a puppet. It's quite interesting—whatever you're thinking about, it takes on that form. Since just now, you've been thinking about Fang Xia," Puppet Man said before jumping down from the head. In mid-air, his body expanded and landed with a size nearly half that of a person. 0

"You don't need to run. If you do, the police will be even more convinced that you are the murderer, and you'll carry the burden of fleeing from justice for the rest of your life," Puppet Man's voice was deep and resonant. 0

"What should I do then?" Lu Jin felt despair creeping in. 0

"Hmph, have you forgotten? I told you I came to help you," Puppet Man replied as he sat down on the sofa, gently shaking his head. A dark aura swirled in his gaze. Lu Jin watched as this dark energy shot from Puppet Man's eyes and coalesced into a black sphere. Puppet Man looked at Lu Jin and smiled again, "It's simple. You just need to go back in time, find the dagger, and dispose of it." 0

Lu Jin found Puppet Man's smile eerie but thought perhaps he could truly help him. However, after hearing Puppet Man's words, Lu Jin shook his head with a sigh. "Go back in time? How is that possible? Time only moves forward; it can't turn back." 0

"It can’t reverse time, but I can dismantle it! Break time apart and reassemble it; then everything can be resolved," Puppet Man said as he tossed the Black Sphere to Lu Jin. Instinctively, Lu Jin reached out to catch it. As soon as his hands touched the Black Sphere, he suddenly vanished. 0

Puppet Man gazed at the Black Sphere lying on the ground, his expression turning somber as a hint of sadness flickered in his cold eyes. 0

Lu Jin stepped into this mysterious world for the first time; everything around him was a blend of black and white—these two colors intertwined to create everything that existed. 0

When Lu Jin emerged, he found himself standing in the Black Forest where Fang Xia had been killed. Looking around for his bearings, he realized the dagger should be nearby. He began sweeping through the fallen leaves with his foot, searching for the dagger among the dark ground and scattered foliage. 0

The wind howled around him, mixed with faint other sounds that he couldn't focus on amidst his urgency. He concentrated on finding the dagger, thinking that this place felt strange; it would be best to locate it quickly and return home. 0

“Tick, tick…” The sound of dripping water gradually became clearer. Lu Jin realized that the sound he had previously mixed with the wind was indeed the sound of water dripping. He looked up, feeling puzzled: it’s strange, it’s not raining, so where is the dripping sound coming from? 0

The dripping grew more frequent, and the noise became louder and closer, as if it were coming from right behind him. Lu Jin suddenly turned around but found nothing there—no one at all. 0

His heart finally settled down, but just as he turned back, a figure in a white dress appeared under a tree not far in front of him. 0

Lu Jin's heart skipped a beat. Although they were not close enough to see her face clearly, that white dress resembled Fang Xia's dress remarkably. 0

Lu Jin hesitated and called out, “Who’s there? Who is it?” 0

All he received in response was silence. Unbeknownst to him, he noticed the woman starting to approach him. Her movements were strange, stumbling as she walked towards him, water continuously flowing from behind her. 0

For a moment, Lu Jin hesitated, filled with fear yet unable to resist the urge to see who she truly was. 0

In that brief moment of astonishment, the woman had already reached him. Lu Jin finally saw her face—it was indeed Fang Xia! 0

Water flowed incessantly from her features and body, as if she harbored countless springs within her. 0

Her gaze was filled with deep resentment and hatred, fixed intently on Lu Jin. He instinctively took several steps back, his heart racing uncontrollably. 0

A thought struck him like a knife: he had seen a ghost! 0
