Wei He originally had little appetite, but seeing Yan Kongyue enjoying her meal, she was infected by the atmosphere. This meal, although shared with strangers, turned out to be the happiest and most satisfying one she had ever experienced.
"Get the girl to peel a few more shrimp!" The Old Man Lin called from a distance, unable to reach the dishes.

Usually, meals at the Lin Family were quiet affairs, with little conversation throughout. However, this dinner was lively, a rare atmosphere that hadn't been felt in their home for a long time.
"Are you sure your stomach is okay?" Shen Yun asked with concern.
"It’s fine! There’s still a lot of work to do tonight; I need to eat well for energy!"
"Then Aunt San can prepare some late-night snacks for you?"
"Sure, just don’t make it too bland!" Yan Kongyue grinned innocently, endearing herself to everyone. Even Wei He felt like ruffling her hair, but Aunt and Aunt San flanked her protectively, making it impossible for him to reach.
"Girl, remember we agreed you'd come back to the Lin Family tonight and bring your friend!" The Old Man Lin didn’t know what Yan Kongyue planned to do but felt he shouldn't pry. He knew he had to bring this little girl home.
"Okay!" Yan Kongyue nodded in agreement without any pretense after finishing her meal.
"What about me? Am I being too much of a bother?" Wei He only learned during dinner that Yan Kongyue was also a genius who had become close with them. At that moment, she felt like she was imposing on them. Although she liked this family, she couldn't help but feel embarrassed.
"You’re not a bother at all! The Lin Family is usually too quiet; if you two stay over, it will definitely liven things up." Aunt was the most pleased.
"Besides, the Lin Family is large and prosperous. Not only can they support you two young ladies, but they could even take in ten or eight more!"
"The Lin Family? Is that the Lin Group at the top of the wealthy list?" Wei He suddenly realized which Lin Family they were talking about.
"Yes!"

"Well, don’t rush it. Focus on getting your health back first; everything else will fall into place later." Lin Lie regretted bringing up such a topic; he wondered why he always touched on sensitive subjects!
"I will! I’ll catch up on all the courses I missed."
After getting back on track, find a job and earn some money to treat me to hot pot. Yan Kongyue wasn’t doing it just for the food; she wanted to give Wei He a purpose. With a goal in mind, Wei He wouldn’t think about suicide anymore.
