Redman and some pre-arranged nobles quickly echoed the sentiment that a single iron rod is easily broken, but a bundle of iron rods is much harder to break. 0

(They are all Transcendent Knights; chopsticks are best avoided, as anything that can be held can also be broken.) 0

Yes, that's the point. If we scatter, no matter how many spoils we gather, they will ultimately belong to those at the top. I personally don’t mind, but what about you? 0

Others hurriedly chimed in, trying to persuade, "Think about it! If it weren't for Lord Baron organizing this banquet for us, would he have done so? Even if Lord Baron doesn't help us, he will still have his share of the spoils." 0

Although the small nobles present were unaware of Baron Art's true intentions, they understood the importance of sticking together. As long as there were enough people, they couldn't be treated as cannon fodder. With so many families gathered together and with Baron Art leading them, they might just be able to get a piece of the pie from the big shots. 0

"Lord Baron, I'm in!" With that, the one who had been persuaded spoke up, and others quickly followed suit. 0

Soon, a small alliance was formed at the banquet, pushing the event to its climax. The nobles had their plans, but for now, their internal schemes were set aside as their attention turned back to the kitchen. 0

Meanwhile, at the front lines—specifically at the border city of Wada after digging into West Wada—John was becoming busier by the day. His kitchen staff had grown in number; they could now fit a small calf in the pot. Two guards stood watch at the entrance; if one didn’t know better, they might think John’s place was a noble's camp. 0

Johnny seized a moment of calm to brew a pot of tea for John. "Captain, here’s some tea; this is the red tea that Lord Redman just gifted us." 0

Taking the tea, John leisurely walked around inspecting the stove. "Make sure you all do your jobs well. This stove may look small, but it’s bigger than your heads on your shoulders. If anything goes wrong while serving the Noble Lords, heads will roll." 0

The kitchen staff quickly responded in unison, "Understood, Captain." 0

Seeing John's cup emptying, Johnny hurriedly refilled it and casually asked, "Captain, when are we going to fight? We've been here on the front lines for several days and I haven't seen any signs of an orc attack." 0

"What are you prying into? Isn’t it better not to fight? You have no idea what you're thinking about all day," John replied with irritation as he shot him a glance. He leaned back in his chair and pretended to rest his eyes while continuously calculating in his mind. 0

These militia members and nobles seemed like war maniacs; the militia craved achievements to join the guard unit for promotions and pay raises. Soon enough, their daily needs would be taken care of and they would receive salaries. 0

The nobles were eager to expand their territories and establish new lands for their families; they could even become Lords themselves—transforming from idle Noble Youths into legitimate nobility. 0

It must be said that this otherworldly culture is quite fierce; everyone seems to take death lightly. John also noticed more and more nobles gathering around him; war was imminent within these two days. 0

The next day 0

The war finally arrived. As a chef and head of the cooking team, John took his eighteen subordinates with their field cooking pots and joined the main force heading toward the battlefield. 0

After two hours, the mighty army reached the forefront of Iron Will Fortress. 0

A large number of Beastmen were stationed outside the Fortress, with Orc Retainers continuously climbing up the Cloud Ladder, only to be struck down by rolling stones from above. Buckets of Golden Syrup were poured down from the city walls, while a Rain of Arrows filled the air, creating a scene of brutal carnage. 0

Just as they descended from the Fortress, the team was besieged by the Iron Will Fortress, with the Orc Legion locking onto them. A massive army of Minions surged forward. 0

They prepared to counterattack! 0

There was no formation to speak of; the Transcendent Nobles charged to the front, with Armored Infantry pushing forward alongside the Militia. 0

For the glory of the knights! 0
