Upon hearing Luni's words, John narrowed his eyes slightly, pondering to himself: It seems now is the perfect time to make my request. 0

Clearing his throat, he slowly began, "Oh, actually, there is something I wish to purchase, but I'm not sure if the Noble Merchant Association has it in stock." 0

Luni was taken aback, thinking to himself, Oh no. This is bad! I only mentioned that out of courtesy; I didn't expect this fellow to take it seriously. 0

With the situation at hand, he steeled himself and replied, "Hmm? What item are you referring to?" 0

Seeing that Luni had taken the bait, John wasted no time in expressing his needs. 0

"To be honest, I want to buy a blacksmith, even if it's just a Blacksmith Apprentice. As long as they can repair armor, that's all I need." 0

"A blacksmith?" Luni's eyes widened as if he had heard the most absurd thing in the world. He couldn't help but exclaim. 0

"Sir Knight, you must be joking! A blacksmith is as essential to our Chamber of Commerce as a cornerstone; how could we possibly sell one? Are you trying to make a fool of me?" 0

As he spoke, Luni shook his head vigorously and waved his hands in refusal. 0

John clearly had no intention of giving up. He took a small step forward and leaned closer to Luni to continue explaining. 0

"Please don't misunderstand me; I fully understand that a blacksmith is not for sale for any noble family. Therefore, my request isn't too demanding. I merely hope to acquire a Blacksmith Apprentice to help me with repairing some farming tools." 0

"This way," he continued, "it won't significantly impact the Noble Merchant Association while still satisfying my modest need. Isn't that a win-win situation?" 0

After listening to John's reasonable argument, Luni's previously tense expression relaxed slightly. He lowered his head in thought for a moment before looking up at John again, his tone softening a bit. 0

"Well then, since you've put it this way, I will temporarily report your request to the President. However," he added with caution, "I must say upfront that I cannot guarantee the outcome." 0

"Thank you very much," John replied as he pulled a gold coin from his pocket and gently placed it in Luni's palm. 0

Luni did not look at the coin in his hand; instead, he casually tucked it into his pocket. The familiar weight told him it was indeed a gold coin. 0

"I'll speak with the President," he said readily, knowing that any potential loss would ultimately affect the Chamber of Commerce's interests. 0

With that, Luni turned and hurried away, leaving John standing quietly in place as he awaited news. 0

On the table before him sat a pot of Fragrant Tea, all of which John had consumed in one go. At this moment, he was anxious and restless as he waited. 0

He pondered to himself, wondering why Luni was taking so long to return. Could it be that the Blacksmith Apprentice had already fallen through? 0

As time ticked away, John's anxiety grew. Even the steaming cup of tea before him failed to warm his increasingly cold heart. 0

He couldn't help but worry about whether he would successfully acquire the Blacksmith Apprentice. After all, if he couldn't find a blacksmith in Wutan City, a place renowned for its abundant mineral resources, he truly didn't know where else to look. 0

John thought of Vice President Van Helsing from the Chamber of Commerce and silently prayed that the man would, for the sake of money, show him some mercy and grant him a Blacksmith Apprentice. 0
