John and his companions passed by many nobles along the way. Even though these nobles wanted to chase after John, they found themselves powerless to do so. Soon, rumors spread that Blink County had a formidable military noble, with troops composed entirely of elite soldiers, capable of covering fifty miles in a day, even the Serf Soldiers. 0

John, who trained this army, gained notoriety once again. The last time he was in the spotlight was when he was knighted, and people referred to him as "the man who stepped in dog poop." This time, however, his nickname changed to Divine Knight, a recognition of his exceptional training abilities. 0

At the temporary camp, John sat by the campfire roasting food when Redman approached with a wine jug. 0

"What is our Divine Knight up to?" Redman teased. 0

"Come on, brother, don’t make fun of me. We’re family," John replied, handing Redman a freshly roasted sweet potato. "Be careful; it’s hot." 0

"Ouch! Hot, hot!" Redman exclaimed as he juggled the sweet potato between his hands. Finally, unable to bear the heat any longer, he used the Universal Qi Training Method to envelop his hands and peeled off the skin without fear of the temperature. 0

"Why are you in such a hurry?" John asked. 0

"You wouldn’t understand. A roasted sweet potato has to be enjoyed while it’s hot; otherwise, it just doesn’t taste right." 0

Redman could eat well enough but relied on John for meals. Ever since they had started hanging out again, he had been eating at John's place every day and hadn’t even set up his own tent. 0

"Why do you think wizards are so esteemed? Some wizards I’ve heard about don’t seem to be treated with much respect," Redman pondered aloud. 0

John was no longer the chef who had just crossed over into this world, isolated from information. Especially these days, dining and chatting with nobles from the alliance during their travels had revealed that while wizards held high status, it was peculiar. Only those from the Magic Tower seemed to enjoy significant respect; wild mages were often treated like witches and burned at the stake. 0

After finishing his sweet potato and taking a sip of water, Redman slowly began to explain. "You really can endure. Last time I was home, my father shared some secret knowledge of our family with me. I’ll tell you about it, but don’t spread it around; even ordinary barons like Baron Hyde and Baron Leon don’t know this hidden knowledge." 0

"Don’t worry; I know how to keep secrets. Hurry up and tell me!" John felt he was getting closer to understanding the deeper layers of this world. 0

Redman looked around to ensure no one was eavesdropping before continuing. "Wizards can be divided into two categories: academic mages and wild mages." 0

"As the name suggests, wild mages have not received formal education. They either awaken their powers on their own or find lost magical texts and teach themselves. Because they lack formal training, they often stray onto dangerous paths and struggle to advance along the Transcendent Path, frequently getting stuck at the Half-Step Transcendent stage. So they tend to be quite ordinary." 0

"But academic mages are different," he continued. "They come from various Magic Towers across the kingdom and receive comprehensive education. Their training is fast, has no side effects, and they possess great power—hence they are respected." 0

"However," Redman added thoughtfully, "wild mages aren’t without their experts. There’s a Magic Tower in the capital established by a wild mage." 0

John nodded as if understanding now; it was akin to comparing amateur scientists with professionals—professionals were undoubtedly more powerful, but there were always a few exceptional amateurs that emerged now and then; though the odds were slim. 0

"Everyone keeps saying wizards are strong; what exactly makes them strong?" John asked curiously. 0

The magician is strong because (I have something to say, can you please give John a little red heart and send him a small gift to encourage him, thank you!) 0
