"Absolutely, big brother! That healing potion is a steal; one gold coin for a bottle can get me the main ingredient for the Magic Wolf Bloodline Knight Potion. It's worth it!"
"I'll take a quick nap; wake me when we arrive." Redman couldn't keep his eyes open after finishing his story and fell asleep instantly.
The next morning
"Water! Water!"
Hearing John's call from the tent, a nearby attendant hurriedly brought over a cup of warm milk.
Gulp, gulp, gulp.
Ah, that feels good.
After downing the hot milk, John finally felt somewhat revived. Even in this other world, he couldn't escape the lethargy that followed a night of drinking.
"I can't keep drinking like this; at least next time I shouldn't overdo it."
John thought he needed to be more careful at the next banquet. If he got too drunk one day and something happened during an ambush, it would be disastrous.
"Sir, would you like to have breakfast?"
"Just some porridge, please. I'm not very hungry. I ate too much last night, and my stomach feels off. I should stick to something light to soothe it; I can't risk heavy meats right now."
He dug into the rice porridge, enjoying some smoked meat and sipping hot tea. Occasionally, he picked up a few slices of ham. As a nobleman, John's simple breakfast was quite unpretentious.
It was a pity that he hadn't brought any maids due to the war; having a maid to serve him would have been nice. He wondered how Annie and the other maids were doing back home. As a young master from Blue Star, John inherently cared about his family.
Suddenly, with a series of crisp footsteps and clattering sounds, Mozart, clad in heavy Plate Armor, approached John with light steps.
He slightly bent forward in a formal greeting before straightening up and speaking.
"Esteemed sir, there are several elegantly dressed nobles outside waiting to see you! They each carry boxes in their hands."
John lifted his gaze from his meal to Mozart and slowly asked, "Oh? Have you inquired about their purpose for visiting?"
Mozart quickly responded, "My lord, I have already inquired thoroughly. According to what they said, it seems they came specifically for trade, and they mentioned that this was entrusted by Redman Baron."
After speaking, Mozart respectfully stood to the side, waiting for John to give further instructions.
John set down the napkin he had been using to wipe his mouth and calmly instructed those around him, "Bring in some food and exchange it for meat dishes. And remember, no wine—just some drinks will do. Also, send someone quickly to my tent to retrieve the fourth box inside. Make haste and ensure there are no mistakes!"
Once his subordinates had received their orders and left, John turned back to Mozart. "Go and invite those nobles in. Be polite."
"Yes," Mozart replied, bowing slightly as he slowly backed out of the tent.
