Thus, Snowman Baron wielded his usual weapon while Baron Norton firmly grasped the long knife provided by John. They stood facing each other, and the atmosphere instantly grew tense. However, their exchanged glances revealed an unspoken understanding between them.
In an instant, both men swung their weapons at each other with fierce determination. A sharp and resonant clang of metal echoed around them as their weapons collided.
With that loud sound, the two weapons clashed violently before quickly bouncing apart. Everyone focused on Snowman Baron's weapon, which now bore a deep crack nearly four fingers wide. In contrast, John's long knife only had a tiny nick on the blade that did not affect its subsequent use at all.
Baron Norton reluctantly tossed the gleaming knife back towards John, his gaze lingering on it as if it possessed endless allure. Eagerly, he asked, "What an exceptional blade! John, how many more of these treasures do you have hidden away?"
John squinted slightly, calculating in his mind. He thought of the entire box of various sharp knives he had but maintained a calm demeanor as he replied nonchalantly.
"Well, it's not too many. Besides this one I'm holding, I have about six more. However, if the price is right, I could consider selling two of them to you. Are you interested?"
Upon hearing this, Baron Norton and Snowman Baron instantly became excited and chimed in unison: "Of course we're interested! How about fifty gold coins each?"
John's face showed a hint of difficulty at this offer. He frowned slightly and opened his mouth as if to refuse the price. After hesitating for a moment, he seemed to overcome some internal concern and slowly said,
"Alright then, considering how much you've already purchased from me, I'll let each of you have one."
At this moment, Snowman Baron couldn't help but give a thumbs up and sincerely praised him: " Knight John is truly generous!"
