Baron Norton pounded his chest enthusiastically and shouted, "That's right! From today onward, John, you are our dear brother!"
After bidding farewell to John and Redman, the two Barons set off on their journey home like two joyful birds, chatting and laughing without pause. Baron Norton’s face was lit up with a broad smile as he laughed heartily, patting his round belly. "Hahaha, brother! Today we are truly lucky to have found so many treasures!"
Beside him, Snowman Baron was also grinning from ear to ear, but as his thoughts drifted away, he suddenly furrowed his brow and murmured, "Hmm, Baron Norton, I can't shake the feeling that something is off. Did we forget something important?"
Upon hearing this, Baron Norton paused for a moment, scratching his head as he tried to recall. After a while, he suddenly slapped his thigh and exclaimed, "Oh no! Weren't we supposed to attack that Redman and force him to hand over that piece of land near our territory? Instead of getting the land, we ended up buying a whole bunch of stuff! And thinking about it, aside from those few precious potions, most of the things we got haven't even been delivered yet!"
At this moment, Snowman Baron’s eyes widened in realization as he asked with a puzzled expression, "Could it be that we were tricked?"
However, Baron Norton didn’t seem to care at all. Still grinning widely, he replied, "Hehe, even if we were deceived, so what? Just look at all these wonderful things we've bought—aren't they worth it?"
Hearing this made Snowman Baron glance down at the treasures in his hands. After pondering for a moment, he burst into laughter as well. "Haha, that's right! If I could be tricked a few more times to get more of these great things, that would actually be quite a bargain!"
Meanwhile, Redman stood quietly nearby, his gaze fixed intently on the two retreating figures. He never expected that the seemingly ordinary John possessed such enviable treasures. What surprised him even more was how easily John had managed to deceive those two with just his silver tongue.
"Hey! You really are something else, John!" Redman couldn’t help but exclaim in admiration.
Hearing this made John throw back his head and laugh triumphantly. "Hahaha! What does that matter? At this moment, his eyes sparkled with greedy light as if he could see countless gold coins flowing toward him.
"Persuasion Technique: When activated, consumes one gold coin to increase your persuasive power."
"Haha! It seems I've underestimated you as the big brother!" Redman said with a beaming smile while rubbing his hands together eagerly. He then hesitated slightly before carefully asking, "So John, do you still have those things you mentioned before?"
John smiled and confidently patted Redman's shoulder reassuringly. "Don't worry, big brother! I have much more than just a few of those. I've already prepared them for you; they're all in my cart. Just wait a moment; I'll bring them over right away."
