Under John's command, a few of his Transcendent Knight s brought three guests for today’s banquet, and the festivities continued.
"Slow down, little sister! Wait for your Brother Thirty-Seven!" A small boy shouted breathlessly as he desperately chased after the figure darting ahead like a bird in flight.
"Oh dear, big sister, don’t run so fast! I really can’t catch up to you!" Another boy yelled, his face filled with helplessness and urgency.
In the sky, Robin, Nami, and Boni zipped around like three bolts of lightning, completely ignoring their brothers who were hot on their heels. After all, at just three years old, these brothers were simply too bothersome! With a hundred brothers at home, how could they possibly remember all those names? What troubled them even more was that every day these brothers would come looking for them, either pinching their cute little cheeks or tickling their chubby little feet.
If it weren't for the fact that they could sense their brothers meant no harm, these three little cuties might have already unleashed their formidable Blood Magic to knock down those annoying pests. However, their father had taught them that ladies should never resort to violence lightly. So, despite their reluctance, they made a concerted effort to restrain themselves and vowed to become true ladies.
Unbeknownst to them, the three little ones arrived at the castle's training grounds. From a distance, they spotted their eldest and second brothers leading a large group in rigorous training on the platform.
"Big Brother! Big Brother! And Second Brother! We're over here!" Sharp-eyed Robin was the first to spot her brothers and excitedly waved her little hand while calling out.
Hearing their sisters' calls, the eldest and second brothers immediately halted their training. Without hesitation, they tossed aside their swords and leaped into the air like arrows released from a bow, rushing toward the three little ones.
"You've gained weight again; even Second Brother can't lift you now!"
"Second Brother is bad! Second Brother is bad!"
Panting as they ran over, the other brothers quickly stood at attention upon seeing their eldest brother. This was bloodline authority; they had to show respect.
"Greetings, Big Brother and Second Brother!"
On the high platform, John furrowed his brow as he looked at his children, filled with worry. A full dozen kids! As the saying goes, a dozen children can impoverish a father, and he had far more than just a dozen! With one hundred boys and three girls at home, just the daily food expenses were enough to give him a headache. If he were still just a Baron instead of a Marquis now, he would have likely gone bankrupt due to these kids.
Not to mention daily living costs; simply hiring teachers to educate them and providing various precious potions for their training required substantial financial resources.
Even so, John still needed to set aside a significant amount of money each year specifically for his children's education. Given the current situation, with his eldest and second sons leading this batch of ten children, it was estimated that within six months they would reach Transcendent status. However, once they entered that stage, the resources required would multiply exponentially; the funds needed then would be unimaginable.
Thinking about this, John couldn't help but ponder: It seems I need to find a way to make some more money. Perhaps I should take a trip over to the Orc Kingdom and see if I can score some profit there. Over the past three years, John had reluctantly ventured into a new business: slave trading. Despite the inherent risks of this trade, it was simply too lucrative for him to resist its allure.
