"Do you remember what the Second Leader looks like?" 0

The bandit nodded slightly. "I remember very clearly. The Second Leader is tall and strong, but usually wears a long robe and a top hat, giving off an air of a scholar. He appears to be around thirty to forty years old." 0

Gao Ping furrowed his brow even tighter and asked again, "Is there anything else that stands out?" 0

The bandit thought quickly and replied, "Even the Big Boss shows great respect for the Second Leader. Sometimes he even addresses him as 'Sir.' Moreover, the Second Leader often leaves the mountain for extended periods before returning. Oh, and he has a striking beard that leaves a deep impression on people." 0

Upon hearing this, Gao Ping fell into deep thought. A robust man in his thirties, possessing both martial prowess and scholarly demeanor, along with good looks—if such a person truly had any notable reputation, he would surely have heard of him. Yet, there was no one matching that description in his memory. 0

It was evident that this person was likely not well-known. After all, who in their right mind would engage in such chaotic acts? Just then, Dian Wei stepped forward and asked, "Elder Gao, have you found any clues?" 0

Gao Ping shook his head in response. "Not yet, but judging from his words, the Second Leader might be a member of some prominent family or a descendant of a fallen noble house. However, how could someone of such low character propose using substitute food?" 0

Dian Wei was also puzzled. "Even if he came from a peasant background, he would never resort to such actions." 0

He bent down, coldly staring at the Bandit. 0
"It seems you are of no further use." 0
The Bandit was taken aback and quickly replied, 0
"I can be of help, my lord. Your inquiry seems to be for guidance? I can lead you to our village. It's not small, and if you go in on your own, you might lose your way." 0
A strong desire to survive ignited his intellect. 0
"Alright, I'll trust you this time." 0
Dian Wei gazed at him and whispered a warning in the Bandit's ear, "If I find out you're deceiving me, you will suffer countless tortures, and I will flay your flesh piece by piece." 0
At these words, the Bandit nearly fainted from fear. 0
He understood well that this unblinking hero, who dared to speak such threats, would surely act on them. 0
Next, Dian Wei turned to the bandit who had been knocked unconscious by Gao Ping. 0
"Now, you have lost your value as well." 0
With a swift motion, the spear flashed, and the head fell to the ground. 0
Despite having committed many heinous acts, Dian Wei felt this was merciful, as a quick decapitation would send the soul away instantly, sparing it from suffering. 0
For these notorious bandits, even subjecting them to slow torture would not be excessive. 0

Chapter Seven 0
The blood of the Fourth Bandit gushed from his neck like a fountain, reaching over three meters high. 0

Some of it even splattered onto the last robber. He wiped the blood from his face, filled with fear. Our mission had failed; hidden among those seemingly frail old men, women, and children were a few truly formidable characters. Their combat strength was incredibly powerful, and we were no match for them. Even the leader had been taken down. 0

As the words fell, the Second Leader's eyes widened in shock and confusion. "What? The Chief Wang Yue has truly fallen?" 0

The others nodded in agreement. "Indeed, we all witnessed it ourselves." 0

After the battle, the situation had clearly turned against us; we had lost several companions and our horses in quick succession. Sensing the dire circumstances, the Grand Chief ordered a retreat, which went surprisingly smoothly. However, little did we expect that even after we had escaped a considerable distance, the Grand Chief would fall victim to a sudden ambush and succumb to a hidden weapon. 0

As they spoke, the group of robbers breathed heavily, their expressions filled with panic as they recalled the events that had transpired. In truth, there was another fact they deliberately concealed: although the Grand Chief had fallen when struck by an arrow, he did not immediately lose his life. Yet all of them were thoroughly terrified, fearing they too would become victims of the vengeful spirits from the darts. 0

Thus, none of them attempted to save him; instead, they fled the scene and continued running forward. Ultimately, their leader lost too much blood and gradually ceased to breathe behind them. 0

Upon learning all this, the Second Leader raised his eyebrows slightly as he sat above them. Soon after, he quickly adjusted his mood and comforted his dejected subordinates: "The Chief's passing fills us all with sorrow, but this is not entirely your fault." 0
