Pushing open the door to the interrogation room, Anlius stared blankly inside. Familiar tables and chairs, familiar torture devices, but unfamiliar faces? Wait a minute. This can’t be! 0

Anlius quickly stepped forward, disbelief written all over his face. "Leader! What are you doing here?" 0

Following Anlius's gaze, he saw an elderly man sitting at the original interrogation table. His hair was gray at the temples, his back straight, and his face was stern. 0

Gao Si Lin! 0

Anlius hurried two steps closer, his eyes filled with eagerness as he trembled with anticipation. "Are you here to rescue me?" 0

His voice shook, filled with longing. 0

"No, Alchemist, it’s not time for you to come out yet." 0

"No! Why not? I’ve bled for the church, I’ve suffered for the church! How much longer do I have to stay here? Leader, if you don’t get me out today—" 0

Anlius glared at Gao Si Lin, his eyes blazing with anger. He had already made up his mind; if Gao Si Lin refused him, he would spill all the church's secrets and find a way to end it all himself! After living this long, he felt he had enough of life! 0

"Alchemist, calm down. The church has recognized your sacrifices and decided to give you that thing ahead of schedule." 0

"Calm down? I—wait, what did you say? Give it to me ahead of schedule?" 0

Anlius, who had reached his breaking point, was contemplating whether to just end it all when he heard the latter part of Gao Si Lin's words and felt deflated. Dying now seemed like a loss. 0

Forget it; let’s hold off on dying and see what he has to say. 0

"Yes, it’s exactly what you’re thinking about. It has already been brought out, and that esteemed individual has arrived outside Lanst Castle and is ready to act at any moment." 0

Gao Si Lin spoke slowly. 0

"That esteemed individual has arrived?" 0

It seemed he wouldn’t have to suffer much longer. 0

"Haha, good! Leader, you better not be lying to me!" 0

Anlius shot a fierce glare at Gao Si Lin before angrily sitting down in the interrogation chair. 0

"You didn’t come here just for this, right?" 0

With arms crossed and bloodshot eyes scrutinizing him closely. 0

"Well, I hope you can cooperate with that esteemed individual. When the time is right, you will receive the highest reward from the church!" 0

Gao Si Lin’s tone was unusually upbeat as he tapped his fingers on the table rhythmically to emphasize how important this was. 0

"The highest reward!" 0

Hearing this made Anlius wide awake; thoughts of death were cast aside. Now more than ever, he feared death. After all, as long as he was alive, he could achieve everything he ever desired in life. It was simply too tempting! 0

"Alright! What does he need me to do?" 0

Anlius asked, his emotions running high as he stared intently at Gao Si Lin, his face filled with anticipation. 0

Gao Si Lin remained silent, pulling a vial of green liquid from his pocket. Unlike ordinary potions, this one had a small red cap at the end, which seemed to conceal a needle. 0

"You should recognize this. You just need to wait for that esteemed individual to contact you. When the time comes, follow his instructions and inject the potion to assist him in his actions." 0

Gao Si Lin pushed the vial of green liquid towards Anlius, his serious expression unwavering, even more intense than usual. 0

"This is the Gene Autonomous Corpse Transformation Agent!" 0

As an Alchemist of the Church, he was all too familiar with this substance. To put it simply, it transformed humans into Undead while maintaining human consciousness for half an hour. The process was reversible; as long as the antidote was injected within that half-hour, one could revert back to being human. 0

"So where's the antidote?" 0

Anlius leaned forward, frowning as he urged Gao Si Lin for an answer. 0

"Only upon completing that esteemed individual's task will he provide you with the antidote," Gao Si Lin replied calmly. 0

"You!" 0

Anlius's initial excitement plummeted once again. Without the antidote, it meant surrendering his life into someone else's hands. If they chose not to provide it... 0

"You can refuse; after all, this prison is full of those looking to take revenge on Lanstad. But you should think carefully," Gao Si Lin said, tapping his finger on the table while fixing his gaze on Anlius, waiting for his response. 0

Hearing this, Anlius's expression fell instantly as he snapped back defiantly, "Aren't you afraid I might leak information about the Church?" 0

At this, a cold smile crept across Gao Si Lin's face as he replied in a deep tone, "You can try and see if you can walk out of this interrogation room alive." 0

Anlius fell silent at Gao Si Lin's words. Self-destruction meant death; obedience might allow him to live. 0

Grinding his teeth, Anlius reluctantly reached for the vial in front of him. "Fine, tell that esteemed individual I will cooperate with his actions and hope he keeps his promise." 0

Gao Si Lin nodded and gestured for him to proceed. 0

With that, Anlius could only leave dejectedly. Once Anlius had departed, Gao Si Lin hurriedly stood up and bowed towards the shadowy corner of the room. 0

"My lord, the Alchemist's subordinate has been dealt with." 0

As he finished speaking, the shadow in front of him began to tremble continuously, and a hollow voice emerged from within. 0

"Good, you did well. Once this matter is concluded, the Church will not treat you unfairly." 0

Gao Si Lin heard this and hesitated, quickly bowing in response. "It's all thanks to you." 0

"Yes, good. However, it seems you still have something to say?" 0

Upon hearing the shadow's words, Gao Si Lin's body trembled slightly as he stammered, "Has the Church really agreed to Anlius's demands?" 0

"Hmph, a pawn thinks he can obtain such precious items? The Church will not give it to him, and I won't let him leave Lanstad alive." 0

The shadow's voice was calm, but it seemed to realize something and quickly added, "But someone like you, my left-hand man, the Church will keep its promises. You can rest easy." 0

"Yes, I am loyal to the Church; heaven and earth can bear witness!" 0

"Good! In that case, I shall take my leave." 0

The shadow trembled for a moment before returning to calmness. 0

Seeing this, Gao Si Lin remained still, not moving an inch. After waiting for a minute with no change from the shadow, he slowly stood up and looked at the spot where the shadow had lingered. The respect in his eyes faded away, replaced by deep-seated hatred. 0

Loyalty? Hmph. 0

He let out a soft snort and turned to leave the room. 0

What he didn't notice was that the original shadow stirred slightly before settling back into stillness. 0

"Haha, do you know how much effort I expended to acquire these items?" 0

Old Deng's Weapon Shop. 0

Ye Wumeng gazed at the pile of weapons stacked high before him, his eyes gleaming with excitement. 0

"The equipment has arrived!" 0
