Lin Xiao accompanied the Deputy Minister of the Organization Division and the Director of the Cadre Division back to Yu Rao once again. The Cadre Division Director chimed in, "Then you must drink this pot!"

Li Hao knew Lin Xiao's drinking capacity; among women, she could hold her own. During her previous role in Investment Promotion, she had accompanied northern businessmen who drank heavily, and it was always Lin Xiao who ended up drinking with them.
Indeed, Lin Xiao couldn't drink. The Cadre Division Director had never seen her drink before; he was just joking and wouldn't push Li Hao to drink either.

He had just arrived in Yu Rao when he was working in Investment Promotion; Lin Xiao often did this for him back then. It felt as if time had turned back to when she was still his secretary.
After this round of toasts, the drinking for the night was nearly over. Everyone raised their small cups for two more rounds before concluding.
They were staying at Hengli Grand Hotel, and after dispersing, everyone returned to their rooms.
Back in her room, Lin Xiao's phone beeped. Had she drunk too much? Did anyone have hangover pills? Her head buzzed; what did he mean by that? Was he trying to learn from Miao Zhang?
After ten minutes, she replied, saying she had left it at the front desk, and I asked the staff to bring it up.
When Li Hao saw the message, he suddenly smiled. She was still as cautious as ever, treating herself like Miao Zhang. What he didn't know was that in Lin Xiao's mind, he wasn't much better than Miao Zhang.
Li Hao picked up his phone and sent a text to Zhao Yi.
At eleven o'clock, Zhao Yi, who was about to sleep, excitedly nudged Kuan Ran beside her and handed over the message. "What do you think is going on with Li Hao? Has he finally realized something after eating dog meat?" Li Hao didn't reply to the message; he could already imagine the expressions on those two's faces.
