After a dizzying spin, the two tumbled onto a patch of overgrown grass.
Lin Yuan rubbed his backside, looking bewildered. "Jiu'er, your compass is quite multifunctional, huh? It can even act as a teleportation device?"

Lin Yuan chuckled sheepishly. "Hehe, thanks for your hard work, Jiu'er. By the way, where exactly did we jump to? This desolate place has not even a ghost in sight." He looked around and saw nothing but weeds and a few crooked trees, with no shelter from the wind or rain.

"What’s happening? Why is my Lingqi suddenly out of control?" one spy shouted in alarm.
"Mine too! It feels like something is interfering with my Lingqi!" another echoed in distress.
"Could it be... a master nearby?" the third spy's face turned pale as he glanced fearfully in Lin Yuan's direction.
Seeing their reactions filled Lin Yuan with delight; a smirk crept onto his face. "Heh, how does it feel? Not so pleasant, huh? This is just the beginning; there’s more excitement to come!"
He intensified his spiritual energy output, causing even more chaos within the spies' Lingqi, which began to backfire on their bodies. They collapsed to the ground in agony, clutching their heads and rolling around while letting out cries of despair.
"Ah—"
"My head hurts so much! It feels like it's going to explode!"
"I feel like my body is going to burst! Help me!"
Lin Yuan watched their miserable state, feeling a surge of satisfaction. "Haha, this is what you get for following me. Now you know my strength, huh? Experience the taste of being backfired by your own Lingqi!"

Lin Yuan was taken aback; he hadn't expected this scout to still be standing and looking so aggressive. Frightened, he quickly hid behind Su Jiu'er and shouted, "Jiu'er, help! This guy wants to kill me!"
Su Jiu'er shook her head helplessly and smiled. "What a coward! Are you scared already? Watch me!"
In a flash, she positioned herself in front of Lin Yuan and casually struck out with her palm.
"Bang—"
The scout flew backward like a kite with its string cut, crashing heavily to the ground and falling unconscious.
Lin Yuan peeked out, looking at Su Jiu'er with admiration. "Jiu'er, you're amazing! You're like my guardian angel!"
Su Jiu'er shot him a glance. "Stop flattering me and hurry up to deal with the other two. Remember, mercy toward enemies is cruelty toward yourself!"
Lin Yuan chuckled to himself as he activated his Spiritual Power Interference once more, bringing down the last two spies to the ground.
"Done!" He clapped his hands, feeling quite pleased with himself. "Now the world is finally quiet!"
Su Jiu'er approached the three spies and checked their conditions.
"Their Lingqi has been completely disrupted by you, and they won't be able to recover for a while," she said. "However, this method only addresses the symptoms, not the root cause. They will come back next time. You need to keep working hard to improve your strength."
Lin Yuan nodded. "I understand. I will practice even harder from now on and strive to master more powerful spells. By then, let's see who dares to provoke me!"
Just then, a loud roar of a car engine echoed from afar, growing louder as it approached.

In the distance, a black sedan sped toward them, driven by a man in a black suit.

"Thinking of escaping? Not so easy!" he murmured, pressing down hard on the accelerator as the car shot forward like an arrow, chasing after the two.
