Upon hearing this, Su Jiu'er tucked away her curiosity and nodded vigorously like a chick pecking at rice in agreement. “Mm-hmm, Lin Yuan, you’re right. We need to rush back and see what’s going on before something really bad happens.”
The two wasted no time and immediately set off toward the Cultivator Community.

At that moment, a woman dressed in community attire slowly approached. She wore a smile that seemed harmless at first glance, but upon closer inspection, one could see a glimmer of cunning in her eyes. This was none other than Han Lingyun, who had infiltrated under disguise.
“Dear neighbors, please don’t panic. I am a representative of the Qi Gong Association,” Han Lingyun feigned warmth in her tone, her voice as gentle as a spring breeze rustling through willow branches. “We are here merely to borrow some space in the community for academic research. We assure you that we mean no harm; we kindly ask for your cooperation and request that you refrain from any extreme actions. Otherwise…” She paused deliberately, her tone laced with subtle menace.
The residents looked at Han Lingyun with skepticism, their minds racing with doubts: The Qi Gong Association has a notorious reputation; who knows what trickery they are up to? What if this is a trap?
Just then, Lin Yuan and Su Jiu'er rushed onto the scene. Upon witnessing the chaos within the community, Lin Yuan's expression darkened instantly, his face as grim as a stormy sky.
"What are those bastards from the Qi Gong Association up to now?" Lin Yuan's furious roar echoed like thunder, shaking the leaves around him.
Hidden in the shadows, Han Lingyun caught sight of Lin Yuan and a faint, barely noticeable smirk appeared on her lips. She thought to herself, "Hmph, you finally showed up. I thought you would be too cowardly to come out!"
"Well, if it isn't Master Lin! Long time no see!" Han Lingyun sauntered forward, her hips swaying as she approached, a false smile plastered across her face, resembling a wolf in sheep's clothing.
"Cut the crap, Han Lingyun. What do you want?" Lin Yuan asked coldly, his eyes glinting with a chilling light, sharp as daggers, as if he wished to pierce through Han Lingyun.
"Oh dear, Master Lin, how could you say that? We just want to ask the residents to cooperate with our work," Han Lingyun maintained her insincere smile. "We are conducting a very important study and need to use the community's space. I assure you it won't affect anyone at all; please rest assured."
"Bullshit!" Lin Yuan bluntly exposed Han Lingyun's lies. "The misdeeds of your Qi Gong Association are known to all. Who doesn't know about your wolfish ambitions to dominate the realm of cultivation? Today, I will act on behalf of justice and eliminate you traitors!"
As soon as Lin Yuan finished speaking, he activated his Gazing Ability, precisely locking onto Han Lingyun's position. In a flash, he shot towards her like a bolt of lightning, his speed dazzling.
Han Lingyun was prepared; she sidestepped just in time to evade Lin Yuan's attack. At the same moment, her Spirit Stone Ancient Sword erupted with brilliant light, slicing towards Lin Yuan like a silver serpent.
Lin Yuan didn't dare to hesitate and quickly summoned his weapon—a Jet Black Longsword—to block Han Lingyun's strike. With a loud clang, the two swords collided, sparks flying and producing a piercing metallic screech.
The two engaged in an intense exchange of blows. The clash of their spiritual energy resonated with booming sounds that seemed to shake the entire community.
Su Jiu'er was not idle either; she took out a compass and began guiding the flow of spiritual energy within the community, forming a massive formation that trapped the members of the Qi Gong Association inside it like fish in a barrel.
"Lin Yuan, let's join forces and take them all down!" Su Jiu'er shouted loudly, her voice filled with determination and strength.
Lin Yuan nodded and fought alongside Su Jiu'er. The two of them worked in perfect harmony, like two swimming dragons weaving through the crowd, leaving the members of the Qi Gong Association in disarray, utterly unable to fight back.
At that moment, Zhou Haoran arrived on the scene, carrying a medical backpack. While treating the injured residents, he used his technological skills to interfere with the Qi Gong Association's communication devices, preventing them from contacting the outside world.
"Lin Yuan, Su Jiu'er, are you okay?" Zhou Haoran asked with concern, not forgetting to bandage an injured resident's wound.
"We're fine, thanks to your timely arrival; otherwise, things could have gotten tricky," Lin Yuan replied with a smile, kicking away a member of the Qi Gong Association who attempted to launch a sneak attack.
"What should we do now? There must be a larger force behind the Qi Gong Association; we can't let our guard down," Su Jiu'er said while wielding her magical artifact.
Lin Yuan pondered for a moment and said, "Let's hand these guys over to the police first, then investigate the Qi Gong Association's secret base to uncover the mastermind behind this."
After discussing their plan, they began to take action, turning over the captured members of the Qi Gong Association to the police. Then, following the clues they had gathered earlier, they set out to investigate the Qi Gong Association's secret base in hopes of finding more useful information.
However, unbeknownst to them, a greater crisis was quietly approaching...
Han Lingyun had escaped amidst the chaos, a sinister smile creeping across her lips like a venomous snake flicking its tongue.
She pulled out a communicator and whispered, "The plan has failed; requesting backup..."
