After meticulously planning their operation, Liang Tian and Xiao Zhan led their chosen elite team under the cover of night, stealthily approaching a stronghold of the evil organization. This stronghold was located in a rundown industrial area on the outskirts of the city, surrounded by overgrown weeds and an eerie silence.
As the team quietly neared the stronghold, Liang Tian signaled for everyone to stop. Using his extraordinary perception abilities, he carefully scanned the surroundings for any signs of movement. Moments later, he whispered to Xiao Zhan, "Brother Xiao, there are several fluctuations in energy within the stronghold. The enemy seems to be on guard; everyone must proceed with caution." Xiao Zhan nodded and gestured to his brothers behind him to prepare for battle.
With a command from Liang Tian, they charged into the stronghold like fierce tigers. In an instant, alarms blared, and members of the evil organization rushed out from every corner to engage in a fierce battle with Liang Tian and his team.
Liang Tian wielded the Lingxiao Sword, moving like a gust of wind as he plunged into the enemy ranks. The Lingxiao Sword danced in his hands with a powerful aura; each strike was imbued with immense spiritual energy, causing enemies to fall one after another. He weaved effortlessly through the throngs of foes, resembling a reaper claiming the lives of the evil organization's members.
Xiao Zhan was equally formidable, fighting barehanded with skills honed from years of experience in the Underworld. With a single punch, he sent an enemy flying several meters away, blood spraying from their mouth. Under his leadership, morale surged among his brothers as they fought valiantly against their foes.
However, the members of the evil organization were not to be underestimated. Many had practiced various Evil Techniques, making them formidable opponents. The two sides quickly found themselves locked in a stalemate.
As the battle intensified, Liang Tian realized they could not afford to prolong this fight; they needed a swift resolution. He unleashed a technique learned at Qingfeng Temple, channeling his spiritual energy into his sword before delivering a powerful slash. A dazzling beam of sword light shot forth like lightning across the enemy ranks. Wherever it passed, enemies were cleaved in two amidst their screams.
With Liang Tian's fierce assault, cracks began to appear in the evil organization's defenses. Seizing the opportunity, Xiao Zhan led his brothers in a relentless pursuit, causing the enemy to retreat in disarray.
After an intense battle, Liang Tian and Xiao Zhan successfully eliminated several foes and gained control of the stronghold. However, at that moment, a lone survivor slipped away amidst the chaos and sent out a distress signal. Realizing their position had been compromised, Liang Tian felt a surge of alarm.
"Brother Xiao, we've been exposed! We can't stay here any longer; we need to evacuate!" Liang Tian said as he quickly cleared the battlefield and assisted his injured brothers.
Xiao Zhan understood the urgency and immediately ordered everyone to regroup and retreat. Just after they left the stronghold, they heard distant sounds of hurried footsteps and shouts of battle approaching rapidly—reinforcements from the evil organization were on their way.
On their way back, Liang Tian felt some regret; although they had eliminated part of the enemy forces during this operation, their exposure might complicate future actions. Nonetheless, he gained a clearer understanding of the evil organization's strength from this encounter.
"Brother Xiao, this time it was my oversight that put our brothers in danger. However, we have also gained some understanding of the enemy's strength. In our next operation, we will definitely do better," Liang Tian said to Xiao Zhan, determination shining in his eyes.
Xiao Zhan patted Liang Tian on the shoulder and laughed heartily, "Brother, what are you talking about? This isn't your fault; battle is always full of uncertainties. We’ve already given those bastards a taste of their own medicine. Next time, we’ll surely catch them all!"
After returning to their safe base, Liang Tian and Xiao Zhan immediately began to discuss their battle plan again. They knew that the evil organization would surely strengthen its defenses after this encounter, and the upcoming battles would be even more challenging. Yet, the conviction in their hearts grew stronger; they were determined to completely destroy this evil organization and restore peace to Jiangnan City.
