Since the visit from the Elder Ling Jian Zong, Liang Tian had a faint feeling that his life would change due to the attention from the Hidden Sect. Sure enough, just a few days later, a group of uninvited guests arrived outside the Chen Family Mansion.
On this day, the sun was shining brightly as Liang Tian was strolling in the garden with Chen Xue, enjoying their rare leisure time. Suddenly, a guard rushed over, looking flustered as he reported, "Young Master, it's bad! There’s a group outside claiming to be from the Hidden Sect who insist on seeing you. Their attitude is quite arrogant."
Liang Tian furrowed his brow and exchanged a glance with Chen Xue before saying, "I'll go take a look." Chen Xue anxiously grabbed Liang Tian's hand and said, "Liang Tian, be careful." Liang Tian comfortingly patted her hand and strode towards the gate.
Upon reaching the gate, Liang Tian saw a group of oddly dressed individuals. At the forefront stood a young man with a sullen expression, tall and imposing, his eyes filled with arrogance and jealousy.
"You are Liang Tian?" The young man looked Liang Tian up and down, his tone dripping with provocation.
Liang Tian remained calm and nodded. "I am. May I ask what brings you here?"
The young man sneered, "Hmph! I've heard that you are quite prominent in the secular world and have dealings with several members of the Hidden Sect. Today, I come on behalf of the Poison Dragon Sect to see just how capable you really are."
Liang Tian immediately understood that these visitors meant trouble; it was likely that the Poison Dragon Sect was envious of his reputation and intended to intimidate him. He replied without condescension, "I have no grievances with the Poison Dragon Sect. It seems inappropriate for you to make such a fuss."
The young man dismissed him with disdain. "Stop wasting time. Today I want to spar with you. If you’re afraid, then just disappear from Jiangnan City and stop flaunting yourself."
Liang Tian felt a surge of anger but knew that acting impulsively would not solve anything. He glanced at the Poison Dragon Sect disciples around him; they were clearly prepared and had likely plotted this encounter in advance.
At that moment, Xiao Zhan also arrived on the scene and stood beside Liang Tian, whispering, "Brother, these people are up to no good. Be careful." Liang Tian nodded slightly to reassure Xiao Zhan.
"Fine," Liang Tian said resolutely. "Since you are so insistent, I will spar with you. But let me make this clear: we will stop at an appropriate point; let’s not ruin our relationship."
The young man, seeing Liang Tian agree, flashed a hint of excitement in his eyes and eagerly said, "Then let's begin!" With that, he darted forward like a bolt of black lightning, his hands transforming into claws, bringing with them a fierce gust of wind aimed directly at Liang Tian's throat.
Liang Tian had long been prepared; he sidestepped effortlessly, evading the sharp attack. The young man, missing his strike, immediately turned around and launched a series of relentless assaults, each move vicious and unforgiving. Liang Tian skillfully countered the young man's attacks with his agile movements and profound spiritual power, never engaging him head-on.
The two exchanged blows in front of the Chen Family Mansion, engaging in an intense battle. The disciples of the Poison Dragon Sect shouted loudly from the sidelines, cheering for their senior brother, while the guards of the Chen Family watched the fight anxiously, ready to intervene at any moment.
Xiao Zhan observed Liang Tian's fight with the young man from the side, secretly admiring Liang Tian's composure and strength. He understood that Liang Tian was not using his full power but was instead studying the young man's moves, finding flaws.
After several exchanges, the young man grew increasingly impatient; his attacks became more frantic but also left numerous openings. Liang Tian seized the opportunity when the young man attacked again. Suddenly shifting his stance, he closed in and struck with a palm infused with spiritual energy towards the young man's chest.
Caught off guard, the young man was hit by Liang Tian's palm strike and flew backward several feet before crashing heavily to the ground. He struggled to rise but felt a sharp pain in his chest and couldn't help but spit out a mouthful of blood.
Seeing this, the disciples of the Poison Dragon Sect rushed over to help him up. The young man's face turned pale, filled with unwillingness and anger, yet he knew he was no match for Liang Tian.
"Hmph, today you were lucky. We'll see about this later!" he gritted through clenched teeth before leaving in disgrace with the disciples of the Poison Dragon Sect.
Chen Xue hurried over upon seeing Liang Tian unharmed and asked with concern, "Liang Tian, are you okay?" Liang Tian smiled and shook his head. "I'm fine; they were just a bunch of clowns."
Xiao Zhan laughed from the side, "Well done, brother! But it seems that trouble from the Hidden Sect has only just begun." Liang Tian nodded slightly, his gaze firmly fixed on the direction where the Poison Dragon Sect had departed. He knew that his path within the Hidden Sect would be fraught with challenges, but he was unafraid.
