Liang Tian led the group cautiously into the Daoist Temple Hall. The dim light flickered against the walls, and ancient statues stood silently, exuding an air of mystery and oppression. However, before anyone could take a closer look at their surroundings, a strange light suddenly flashed, enveloping them in an eerie illusion.
Chen Xue found herself in a scene that changed abruptly; she was surrounded by a sea of blood, with Liang Tian wounded and lying in her arms, his breath faint and his life slipping away. "No! Liang Tian, you can't die!" Chen Xue cried out in terror, tears streaming down her face as she held him tightly, trying to use her own strength to keep him alive.
On the other side, Xiao Zhan found himself in the familiar Underworld Headquarters, where his brothers-in-arms suddenly turned against him, brandishing knives and approaching him with cold eyes. "Why... why are you doing this?" Xiao Zhan shouted in disbelief, filled with anger and pain.
The other disciples of the Hidden Sect were also trapped in their own deepest fears; some witnessed their sect being annihilated, while others fell into an endless abyss of darkness, all engulfed in panic and struggle.
After entering the illusion, Liang Tian saw a heart-wrenching scene—his loved ones in the celestial realm were once again betrayed by treacherous foes, and he was powerless to help them. Anger, guilt, and pain surged within him, but Liang Tian quickly realized that all of this was an illusion thanks to the strong willpower he had forged through countless trials in the celestial realm.
"This is an illusion; I must not be deceived!" Liang Tian reminded himself repeatedly. Gritting his teeth, he channeled all his spiritual energy to break free from this bizarre illusion. Gradually, the phantasmagoric scene before him began to dissipate, and he was the first to awaken.
Seeing the others still trapped in the illusion filled Liang Tian with urgency. He knew that if he didn't wake them up quickly, their minds might shatter within this illusion, leading to unimaginable consequences. He first approached Chen Xue, gently shaking her while urgently calling out, "Chen Xue, wake up! This is an illusion; it's all fake! I'm right here; you need to come back to reality!"
Hearing Liang Tian's voice in the illusion—a familiar and resolute sound—pierced through her fear like a ray of light. She struggled desperately and finally awoke from the nightmare. Seeing the real Liang Tian standing before her, she threw herself into his arms, sobbing uncontrollably. "Liang Tian, I thought... I thought I really lost you."
Liang Tian comforted her by patting her back before swiftly moving to Xiao Zhan's side. At that moment, Xiao Zhan was fighting fiercely against the "betraying brothers" in the illusion while shouting curses. Liang Tian channeled his spiritual energy and shouted loudly into Xiao Zhan's ear, "Brother Xiao, wake up! This is all an illusion!"
Xiao Zhan was jolted awake by that shout; as he focused his gaze around him, he noticed that the scene was becoming increasingly unreal. Realizing he had fallen into an illusion, he wiped the cold sweat from his forehead and said to Liang Tian, "That was close; I almost fell for it."
Afterward, Liang Tian worked together with Chen Xue and Xiao Zhan to awaken each of the other disciples trapped in the illusion. Once everyone had regained consciousness, Liang Tian's expression turned serious as he said, "Everyone must not be deceived by this illusion; it is a tactic used by our enemies to disrupt our minds. We need to concentrate and search for weaknesses in this illusion so we can escape quickly."
The group nodded in agreement. Although they had just experienced a harrowing mental shock, they understood that they could not panic at this moment. They began to carefully observe their surroundings in an attempt to find flaws in the illusion. However, this illusion was extremely bizarre; everything appeared so real that they were momentarily at a loss.
