Lin Ning looked coldly at Yuan Yueming and said, "Junior Sister, these jewels are meant for distributing military rations to the Ming army and purchasing weapons. You aren't thinking of coveting them, are you?" Yuan Yueming smiled and replied, "Senior Brother, you underestimate me. I simply like these jewels, but how could I possibly have any thoughts of taking them?" Lin Ning nodded and said, "That's for the best. Now let's transport these jewels." Under Lin Ning's leadership, the nine of them quickly moved dozens of boxes of jewels to the Sword Formation. 0

Cong Jiang was the first to cross the Sword Formation alone, followed by Lin Ning who sent the remaining seven across as well. Finally, Lin Ning safely transported all the boxes of jewels back to the opposite side of the Sword Formation. As Lin Ning stood firmly before everyone, they all cheered in celebration. Lin Ning addressed them, "Let's place these jewels here for now. Once we find the treasures in the cave corresponding to Kun Gate, we will transport both treasures together." Everyone nodded in agreement. 0

Lin Ning led them out of the cave. Upon reaching the entrance, they realized that the sun had already set. Luo Xin, who had been waiting outside, had marked the location of Kun Gate. After a busy day, they had made significant progress. Lin Ning and the others sealed off the Qian Gate with sand and stones before happily returning to the inn. 0

The next day at dawn, everyone got up and hurriedly had breakfast before eagerly heading to the top of Nanshan Mountain. Following Luo Xin's markings from yesterday on the sand and stones at Kun Gate, they quickly opened the cave where Kun Gate was located. Lin Ning instructed Luo Xin to stay outside while everyone else entered the cave's passageway holding torches lit with wooden sticks. The overall direction of this cave's passage also sloped downward, but unlike the passage in Qian Cave, it twisted and turned in a zigzag pattern. With every half-zhang they walked, the curves shifted, slowing their progress. Fortunately, they encountered no dangers while walking through. 0

After about an hour's journey, they finally emerged from the passage into a very spacious cave. This cave was roughly similar in size to that in Qian Cave, measuring about forty to fifty zhang in length, width, and height, with smooth stone walls surrounding it. The difference was that this cave contained a bottomless pool of liquid that emitted a very pungent odor. 0

Lin Ning knew that there must be something significant about the liquid in the pool. He took out a handkerchief from his pocket and tossed it into the water. The moment it touched the surface, it vanished instantly, followed by a wisp of green smoke rising from where it had been consumed. Yuan Yueming and Cong Rong couldn't help but gasp in shock simultaneously. 0

Lin Ning turned to Cong Jiang and asked, "Uncle, do you have any Iron Rhombuses?" As he answered affirmatively, he pulled out an Iron Rhombus from his pocket and handed it to Lin Ning. Lin Ning threw this Iron Rhombus into the pool; it bubbled for a moment before disappearing along with another wisp of green smoke. Everyone watched in astonishment as what seemed like an ordinary Iron Rhombus vanished as if by magic in this corrosive liquid. They exchanged glances filled with fear and confusion. 0

All eyes turned to Lin Ning, hoping he could explain what was happening. Maintaining his composure, Lin Ning said, "Everyone don't be afraid. When I lived on Yunshan Island, I came across a medical book written by a famous physician named Bian Que that described this liquid. It is called Corrosive Iron Liquid and has extremely strong corrosive properties; so we must be careful not to let it touch our bodies." Hearing this made everyone break out in a cold sweat. If Corrosive Iron Liquid could dissolve steel, how much more would it affect human flesh? 0

At this moment, everyone wore worried expressions as they contemplated how to cross this pool. Yesterday's experience crossing through the Sword Formation felt incredibly difficult; however, looking back now at that challenge compared to crossing this pool filled with Corrosive Iron Liquid seemed trivial by comparison! Lin Ning carefully observed his surroundings and noticed that both sides of the pool had smooth stone walls so slippery that even a fly would slip off—clearly making any attempt to pass along those walls impossible. 0

Despite being submerged in Corrosive Iron Liquid, those stone walls remained perfectly smooth; thus it was evident that this liquid posed no threat to stone at all. After pondering for a moment, he took out his black gold short knife and cut several square stones from the end of the passageway before tossing them into Corrosive Iron Liquid. They heard several dull thuds echoing from within as those stones disappeared without a trace. 0

From the sounds made by those stones sinking into Corrosive Iron Liquid, Lin Ning realized that this pool was unfathomably deep. He initially thought about using stones as stepping pads to elevate their height above the surface of Corrosive Iron Liquid so that everyone could walk across them; however, this plan was clearly unfeasible since Corrosive Iron Liquid possessed some buoyancy—making it impossible for each stone thrown into the pool to land precisely on top of another. 0

After dismissing this idea of using stones as a bridge, Lin Ning fell into deep contemplation again until suddenly an idea struck him like lightning. He used his black gold short knife to chip away some rubble from the stone wall and then removed his outer garment to wrap up these fragments. He said to everyone: "Let's first throw these fragments above the pool; then everyone can use their lightness skills to step on them before they fall into Corrosive Iron Liquid." 0

Cong Jiang exclaimed: "This is a great idea from our leader! Let's get started!" Everyone took off their outer garments and wrapped some rubble inside them. Lin Ning was first to throw his bundle towards the depths of the pool before leaping into action; just before his bundle dropped into Corrosive Iron Liquid he lightly stepped on it for leverage and performed a front flip landing steadily on solid ground across from him. 0

The others followed suit using Lin Ning's method successfully reaching safety on solid ground until only Cong Rong remained on her side of the pool. 0
