Suddenly, Lu Zean felt the weight of impending separation for two whole months. He resembled a helpless child, tugging at Suzhou's sleeve, his footsteps dragging as if he were leaving marks on the ground. His eyes were filled with longing and unspoken grievances, glistening like a little dog drenched in rain. 0

"Lin Xiao Yu," he began, his voice trembling slightly, as soft as a breeze that might disperse at any moment. The thought of being apart for two months made his heart feel like it was suddenly tangled in a mess, twisting painfully yet feeling empty and lost. As he spoke, his eyes quickly reddened, tears welling up, and his nose tingled painfully. He sniffed, fighting to keep the tears at bay. 0

In his daily life, the first thing he looked forward to each morning was seeing her, listening to her animatedly recount the challenges she overcame during practice, watching her smile with her eyes sparkling or pouting when pretending to be angry. Those trivial moments were treasures in his heart. But now, he would only be left waiting by the phone, eagerly anticipating her every word. Just thinking about it felt unbearable. 0

Suzhou's eyes were already red as she opened her mouth to comfort him, but Lu Zean hurriedly continued, his words spilling out faster with urgency and worry: "You're going to Beijing, a place you're unfamiliar with. The training will be intense. What if you get hurt or face difficulties? There won't be anyone there to take care of you. Just thinking about it makes me wish I could be there with you." He lowered his head slightly, his shoulders slumping in self-pity. "I'm going to England too, and I’ll be just as lost without you. No matter how exquisite the food is, it won’t taste right without you around; even if the bed is soft, I won’t be able to sleep at night. I'm afraid I won’t learn anything meaningful and even more afraid that you’ll suffer or tire yourself out over there. Lin Xiao Yu, please remember me and message me often; otherwise, my heart feels like it’s stuck in my throat and won’t settle down." 0

His expression was one of deep concern—brows furrowed and lips turned down—looking utterly pitiful. Anyone who saw him would feel their heart twist in sympathy. 0

A few days later, when it was time for Suzhou to depart for Beijing, Lu Zean accompanied her to the airport early. Throughout the journey, he kept his arm tightly around her shoulders, continuously offering reminders: "Be sure to eat on time in Beijing; don’t wear yourself out practicing dance. If you find it hard to adjust or face any difficulties in training, you must tell me." 0

As they reached the security checkpoint, the cacophony of voices seemed to fade away instantly. Lu Zean suddenly opened his arms wide and embraced Suzhou tightly as if he wanted to hide her away in his world forever. He buried his head in her neck, trembling slightly as he whispered through a choked voice: "Lin Xiao Yu, I really don’t want you to go. For these two months, I’ll think of you every day. You must shine brightly in the competition and achieve great results; just stay safe." 0

Tears streamed down Suzhou's face as she returned his embrace, gripping the fabric of his shirt tightly and sobbing: "Lu Zean, take care of yourself in England too; study hard. I’ll be waiting for you to come back." After a long moment, she took a deep breath, bit her lip resolutely, and pulled herself away from Lu Zean’s arms step by step into the security line. 0

Lu Zean stood still, his gaze following her until she completely vanished from sight. Tears flowed freely down his cheeks as he silently wished for both of them to have smooth journeys ahead and hoped that when they reunited, they would embrace as better versions of themselves. 0
