On the first day at home, one's status should still be quite decent, but such privileges often do not last long, typically only one or two days. After the grace period, one's position can plummet, ultimately becoming something that everyone despises!
The Crown Prince: "Crab Due to Frost, Golden Paste Overflowing, Orange for Wind, Many Jade Brain Fresh." The crabs from the capital are expensive and have been long desired!
Although it is not yet the Mid-Autumn Festival, the crabs of this season have already grown plump. Despite the Shi family's decent economic conditions, Shi Tian does not actually have much pocket money.
Yun Wan'er is willing to show her respect by cooking personally, and Shi Tian certainly won't refuse her kindness. Ordering a crab isn't complicated; it's well within Yun Wan'er's capabilities.
If Shi Tian were to order several dishes outright, he might end up without even a crab to eat. Yun Wan'er could very well go on strike, and in the end, it would be him who suffers.
Seeing Shi Tian's practical approach, Yun Wan'er glanced at him and immediately assigned tasks to Shi Chui.
Mother: "Lao Shi, have you been fishing again? If you don't catch a few pounds of crabs today, I guarantee your fishing gear won't survive the night!"
Shi Chui loves fishing, but his skills leave much to be desired. Forget about catching a few pounds of crabs; even if he manages to catch a few Bai Tiao, he would be delighted for half a day!
It would be better to have Shi Chui buy crabs rather than fish for them, especially with his own pocket money. Even so, Shi Chui feels grateful since Yun Wan'er hasn’t forbidden him from fishing, which makes him quite proud.
Shi Chui is the eldest brother; he has a younger brother named Shi Ye who is nearly ten years his junior. Shi Chui met Yun Wan'er in their freshman year of college. In a moment of excitement, they got married before graduating and had Shi Tian to escape school penalties.
Yun Wan'er is clever while Shi Chui works hard. To support Shi Tian after graduation, they started from scratch and gradually developed their current situation—it's quite an achievement.
Shi Chui is tied down by Shi Tian, but Shi Ye is different. After graduating from college, Shi Ye embarked on an impromptu journey that never stopped.
Shi Chui's foreign trade company had just begun when most of its success was attributed to Shi Ye's efforts. After traveling around the country and exploring its vast landscapes, Shi Ye left for abroad.
With more places visited, opportunities naturally increased. Thus, with Shi Ye's help, Shi Chui and Yun Wan'er established a foreign trade company where most of their import and export orders came through connections made by Shi Ye.
Now that their foreign trade company has secured several stable clients, Shi Chui has no intention of causing further upheaval. As long as they maintain these relationships, the Shi family will not have to worry about food and drink.
With their family's economic situation improving, both Shi Chui and Yun Wan'er are less burdened. The couple took advantage of Shi Tian's time at school to spend some time traveling with Shi Ye. During this period, Shi Ye accompanied Shi Chui on a few fishing trips; with the Beginner Protection Period in effect, Shi Chui decisively fell into the hobby.
Beautiful moments are always fleeting; the Crown Prince's status lasted only through one Crab Feast before being downgraded to that of a Minister the next day.
The status of the Ministers was not low, but it only lasted for a day. By the third day, Shi Tian had transformed into the Young Emperor as described by Yun Wan'er.
"Young Emperor, go pick up a package! There’s quite a lot, so drive!" Dragged out of his room by Yun Wan'er, Shi Tian received his first task after being demoted.
Was he really expected to drive just to pick up a package? This thought startled Shi Tian. However, he soon realized that his luggage should be arriving today, and Yun Wan'er was likely asking him to retrieve it!
While picking up luggage was reasonable, Shi Tian was taken aback when he arrived at the delivery point and saw a mountain of packages that left him speechless.
In addition to his own belongings, there were dozens of boxes from Yun Wan'er’s online shopping spree. Picking up this delivery felt more like moving house.
There were two backpacks—one large and one small—along with a summer tent and a winter sleeping bag, piles of gear including jackets, sleeping bags, and moisture-proof mats, as well as camping lights and trekking poles. The number of gas stoves was simply uncountable.
Shi Tian was not unfamiliar with these items; he had seen plenty at Shi Ye's place, where the variety and models far surpassed these. If it were Shi Ye's equipment, it would probably take two or three cars to haul it all.
After much effort to move the heap of items, Shi Tian knocked on the study door and said, "Lady Yun, what do you need all this for? Are you planning to sell outdoor gear to support the refugees in Europe?"
Those people in Europe were foolish; the White Eagle was waging wars everywhere, creating countless refugees. These refugees lacked the means to escape the White Eagle's territory; even if they managed to cross over, the White Eagle wouldn’t accept them. Thus, this mess fell onto the shoulders of the Europeans.
For the White Eagle, this was strategy—on one hand, it could slow down Europe’s development and drain its economy, preventing Europe from having the energy to compete with it. On the other hand, it increased security challenges within Europe, causing public discontent to boil over and leading to constant power shifts that weakened the cohesion of the European Union.
The European Union had also recognized this issue; Germany and France were in an uproar daily—there wasn’t a moment of peace.
To exploit the refugee situation in Europe was considered an outrageous act. The Germans dared to defy convention, indicating that the refugee issue had struck at their very core.
Such sentiments not only garnered support from the German public but surprisingly also received backing from numerous refugees residing in Germany—a rather astonishing turn of events!
This wasn’t hard to understand; those refugees who had already made it to Germany would not face expulsion. As for those who hadn’t made it yet, who cared about their fates?
Germany's resources were limited; with too many refugees arriving, there wouldn’t be enough support for everyone. It would be better to stop now so that they could at least enjoy some benefits—having their basic needs met and even receiving pocket money on a regular basis.
"Is everything here?" Yun Wan'er asked as she rolled her eyes at Shi Tian. Instead of answering his question, she rushed out of her study to examine the outdoor equipment.
