Cigarettes are not entirely useless; they can help two completely unfamiliar people lower their guard with just a single puff. Today was a good day for fishing. In just an hour, I caught a five-pound Sea Bass and a Black Sea Bream, which should cover my smoking expenses for the week! After taking a drag, the Yellow Robe Guy said with a hint of pride. 0

The price of Sea Bass hovers around twenty to thirty dollars. If it exceeds ten pounds, the price goes up a bit more. Unfortunately, this guy's fish only weighed about five pounds, so those fishmongers would probably only offer around twenty dollars for it. While the price of Sea Bass is low, the price of Black Sea Bream is significantly higher. Two fish for a week's worth of smoking money suggests that this guy is doing quite well! At least starting from twenty dollars. 0

Invited by the Yellow Robe Guy's enthusiasm, Shi Tian took a look at his catch. The Black Sea Bream was indeed impressive, not smaller than the one the old man caught yesterday, and perhaps even larger. 0

Not wanting to turn over the two fish, Shi Tian still searched his mind for flattering words to praise the Yellow Robe Guy's haul out of respect. 0

"Brother, this is our newly developed Fish Hook; it's currently in the experimental stage. Let me give you a few sets to try out and see how they perform!" After inspecting the fish, Shi Tian pulled out three sets of Apo Fishing Hooks and handed them over. 0

A set of Apo Fishing gear isn't cheap; just the Float alone costs around twenty to thirty dollars. Shi Tian couldn't afford to give away such an expensive item. He only offered the basic set: Eight-shaped Rings, Lead Weights, hooks, and leader lines. Even with just these items, a complete set would cost three points. If they couldn't catch any fish with them, it would be a significant loss! 0

"New product testing?" The Yellow Robe Guy asked as he examined one of the Fish Hooks. "Testing Fish Hooks is no problem; how do I provide feedback on the results?" 0

This Brother Huang Pao was quite straightforward; he didn't intend to take three sets of hooks for free without giving something back—he was thinking about providing feedback on their effectiveness. 0

These three sets of Fish Hooks were clearly well-made; just looking at their craftsmanship was enough to tell that. From the Eight-shaped Rings to the leader lines, then to the Lead Weights and finally the Fish Hooks. 0

The Eight-shaped Rings weren't the kind that costs ten dollars for a hundred pieces; even at three dollars for ten pieces, their quality was exceptional. Just this Eight-shaped Ring alone could be worth one or two dollars. 0

While it’s hard to judge the quality of leader lines with just the naked eye, the Lead Weights were smooth and shaped like droplets with perfectly centered line holes; just this Lead Weight could easily cost several dollars. 0

When he lightly touched the Hook Tip with his finger, it felt noticeably sticky, indicating how sharp the Fish Hook was. However, Fish Hooks are generally inexpensive; even if this hook was sharp, it likely wouldn't be worth more than a few cents. 0

After packing up his Rod and picking up a set of Fish Hooks, Huang Pao Guy immediately swapped out his hooks and baited them with Live Shrimp before casting his line. 0

"Feedback?" Upon hearing Huang Pao Guy's words, Shi Tian was momentarily taken aback; he hadn't expected there would be feedback involved! 0

"I'll create a group chat; you can join it! If you encounter any issues with these hooks later on, you can provide feedback in the group or share fishing techniques and spots with other Fishing Buddies!" 0

As he spoke, Shi Tian took out his phone and created a group chat face-to-face, adding Yellow Robe Guy into it. 0

After bidding farewell to Brother Huang Pao, Shi Tian rubbed his head—he needed to come up with a name for this group! 0

At first, he couldn't think of anything too clever and settled on "Fleeting Moments of Leisure." He could always change it later when inspiration struck. The immediate priority was to distribute those Fish Hooks first. 0

After half a day's effort and having given away a pack of cigarettes, Shi Tian finally finished distributing his Fish Hooks. 0

Fifty sets of Hooks were prepared. Apart from the one set kept for himself and the three sets swapped for Shi Ye and the others, he had given away a total of nine sets to nine silent companions in the group. It didn’t matter that they were quiet; as long as there were fish and Bao Hu, he believed they would all come out eventually! 0

“What’s going on?” Shi Ye asked, glancing back as Shi Tian returned. 0

Taking out the Iso Rod he had prepared yesterday from the Fishing Box, Shi Tianyi began to attach Live Shrimp to the Hook while replying, “I just scouted the enemy situation. The fishing here is much better than over at the Great Eastern Sea. Most of the people nearby have had some success, with the biggest catch being a seven-pound Largemouth Bass!” 0

“Seven pounds? That’s quite impressive!” Shi Ye felt pleased that Shi Tian could connect with the nearby Fishing Buddies. If they were going to stay here for a while, Shi Tian needed to establish his own circle. He and Kong Jun Lu Ya would be heading abroad soon, and it wouldn’t do to take Shi Tian along! 0

“How’s it going over here? Have you made any contacts?” After casting out his Iso Rod, Shi Tian turned to ask Shi Ye. 0

Making money from fishing wasn’t exactly a reliable venture. The people around had fished all morning and only caught one or two fish each, with many still empty-handed. Even so, they were all praising today’s fishing conditions. 0

Since relying on fishing for income wasn’t feasible, they would need to find ways to distribute more Fish Hooks. This could lead to selling rods and earning enough to open a shop, though it might take quite some time. 0

“Not bad; I’ve caught some fish! Do you see that Sea Wolf in the bucket? That’s what I just reeled in!” Shi Ye said proudly. 0

“Sea Wolf? Is that a relative of the Sea Dog or the Seal? Is that even legal?” Shi Tianyi was taken aback by Shi Ye’s words! 0

He knew about Sea Dogs, Sea Lions, Seals, and Walruses, but what was this Sea Wolf? A relative of the Sea Dog? He had only seen Seals along the Coastal areas in China, and in the northern Bohai Bay region past Qingdao, he doubted there would be any, let alone in Hainan. 0

“Get lost! You know nothing! Do you not know that’s what they call it? It’s a nickname for Suo Yu! You’re so uninformed!” 0

Great, after boasting for so long, it turned out he had caught a Suo Yu! It should make for some good canned fish! 0

Shi Tian didn’t have much experience in sea fishing, but he figured that wasn’t necessary; all he needed was keen eyesight. By watching Abo closely and waiting for it to sink before striking at the fish should yield results! 0

However, casting the rod required some finesse—understanding what color of water indicated depth and using wave patterns to infer underwater terrain was advanced knowledge far beyond Shi Tian's current skills. For now, he just wanted to catch his first sea fish! 0
