As soon as the sound of cutting water reached their ears, the nearby old men couldn't sit still any longer and hurried over to help. 0

"Be careful! Don't pull too hard or you might break the Rod!" one of them shouted. The closest, Old Wen, rushed over and eagerly took the Rod, ready to enjoy the thrill of fishing. After all, wasn't that the joy of fishing? He didn't want to miss this opportunity. While Old Kong was away, he had to have his fun first! Otherwise, when the old man returned, he might not get a chance to try it out. 0

Hearing that they could easily break the Rod, Kong Fan quickly loosened his line. Fortunately, Old Wen took over just in time; otherwise, if that fish had straightened out the Rod, it would be difficult to reel it in! 0

The several sets of Rods that Old Kong had brought for them were quite satisfactory to the old men. As soon as they held the Rods, they could tell they were exceptional. After catching a few big fish, they could truly appreciate the remarkable qualities of those Rods! 0

However, when Old Wen got his hands on Old Kong's Rod, he was taken aback! He had thought that Old Kong's Rod was similar to theirs, just with a different design. But once it was in his hands, the difference was undeniable! 0

He could feel every flick of the fish on the Hook; this was something their Rods simply couldn't do! No wonder Old Kong was so generous! It turned out he had kept something special for himself! 0

No! While Old Kong was away, he needed to reel in that fish quickly and then make off with this Rod. Once Old Kong returned, there would be no chance left! 0

But the fish on the Rod was too big; it wouldn't be easy to reel it in right away! What should he do? Should he cut the line and run? If he damaged the Rod, it wouldn't be worth it! 0

Old Kong was quite efficient. As soon as he exited the restroom and saw several people gathered around his Fishing Spot with Old Liu carrying a large Net, he hurriedly rushed over! 0

When he got closer and saw that his precious Rod had already fallen into Old Wen's hands, he panicked. Sneaking up quietly, he pushed Old Wen's Rod into the water from his Fishing Box and returned to his own spot! 0

"Old Wen! Your Rod has been dragged into the river by a fish! Give me back my Rod and check it quickly!" He squeezed into his Fishing Spot and grabbed hold of the Rod in Old Wen's hand, speaking urgently. 0

Upon hearing this, Old Wen turned around and saw that his Rod had indeed been pulled out quite a bit. He loosened his grip and let it fall back into Old Kong's hands before turning and running back to his own Fishing Spot! 0

Halfway there, he realized something—his Rod was tied with a Loss Prevention Rope! Why had he been so anxious? Moreover, even though the Rod had extended quite a bit, the Fish Float remained stable in place. He had completely fallen for Old Kong's trick! 0

Now that the Rod was back in Old Kong's hands, there was no chance for him to snatch it again; he could only stand by and watch enviously! 0

"Old Kong! I swear I won't let you off easily!" he silently cursed as Old Kong angrily retrieved his Rod along with Old Liu's. 0

One fish, three people; after half an hour of struggle, only when the fish finally exhausted itself did Old Kong allow Old Liu to bring down the Net! 0

Once they netted the fish and weighed it with the Control Fish Tool, a smile spread across Old Kong's face. The fish exceeded the scale of the Control Fish Tool; it was likely comparable to that Bighead Carp caught yesterday in this river—at least forty pounds! 0

Holding up the Azure Catfish for Kong Fan to take pictures as keepsakes, Old Kong left behind Old Wen and Old Liu who were waiting in line for their photos and returned to his Fishing Spot. He opened his Rod Bag to check that none of his Rods were missing. After securing the strap around his leg, he carefully wiped down his prized rod that had just proven its worth. He replaced the line, baited up, and cast back into the water. 0

He noticed that Old Wen kept glancing at his Rod Bag from time to time. From now on, he'd have to be cautious around Old Wen; that precious Rod might just be on that old man's mind! 0

To avoid the afternoon rush hour, the old gentlemen packed up their things and set off for home before four o'clock, even though they hadn't quite had their fill of fun yet. 0

"Old Kong, that design on your rod is pretty nice. Where did you buy it? Could you get me a set as well?" On the way back, Old Wen casually probed about the origins of Old Kong's rod. 0

Once he got his hands on that rod, he was hooked. Before, he treated the rod Old Kong had gifted him like a treasure, but now that he had experienced Old Kong's rod, he suddenly found his own rod less appealing! 0

In front of Old Liu, he couldn't reveal how impressive Old Kong's rod was! He knew such rods were hard to come by and likely custom-made. If Old Liu found out, it would mean another competitor for him, which was not good at all! 0

"This set was given to me by my precious grandson. I heard they only produce a few sets a year! And it's quite pricey! The performance of this rod is similar to the one I gave you; it's just that the design is a bit more refined—nothing extraordinary!" Glancing at Old Wen, Old Kong casually remarked. 0

It was clear that this old fellow was intrigued by his precious rod. When he got home, he planned to swap his metal cabinet for a safe; he wasn't afraid of thieves stealing it but worried about them coveting it. This old man was definitely eyeing it! 0

"The performance isn't much different; it's just that the design looks good. The price isn't a problem; just have Air Force customize a set for me too! Money doesn't matter; just tell me how much it costs, and I'll have them transfer it!" Trying to cover up his eagerness, Old Wen said with a grin. 0

Old Kong readily agreed to Old Wen's request: "Sure, I'll have Air Force customize a set for you when I get back. However, he's currently abroad and might not be back for a few months. I'll talk to him when he returns!" 0

Hearing Old Kong's words, Old Wen rolled his eyes in response! 0

With that attitude, it was clear he was brushing him off! They were both old foxes; there was no need to play tricks on each other! 0

If Old Kong wouldn't work out, he'd have to find another way! It was a pity he didn't take a photo of that rod earlier; without a picture, he had no clue! 0

A fishing rod is meant for fishing—what's the use of looking good? This time, Old Kong did something good by bringing back this set from Air Force; they would need to set up two tables when they got back! Listening to Old Wen and Old Kong debate over the design on the rod, Old Liu felt somewhat speechless. 0

After so many years of fishing, when did they start caring so much about the design on the rods? Old Wen was becoming more childish with age! 0

After letting Kong Fan drive Old Wen and Old Liu home, the old man felt it was time to find a place. 0

"Take me to my little sister's place! I'm having dinner there tonight; she can drive me back later!" After waiting for Kong Fan for a moment, the old man felt uneasy about leaving the rod behind and decided it was better to keep it with him. 0

However, when Kong Fan drove to the entrance of the community, the old man told him to stop. He slung the rod over his shoulder, opened the trunk, pulled out a bighead carp, and turned to Kong Fan: "Hurry back! Traffic will be bad soon! Take this fishing box back with you; you can eat those fish in the car!" 0

Seeing the old man carrying such a large fish into the community made Kong Fan anxious. 0

"Old man, aren't you going to leave your rod behind? I could drive you downstairs if you'd like! It's quite a distance from here to her house! If necessary, I can help carry the fish too!" 0

Glancing back at Kong Fan who had rushed over, the old man shot him a look: "What do you know? Just hurry back!" 0

With the rod on his back and holding onto the fish, the old man slowly walked toward the community while Kong Fan followed behind with wide eyes. 0

The old man was getting on in years! He walked so slowly now! But despite his age and carrying over forty pounds of fish, his posture remained straight and his steps steady—at this age, having such stamina made any child proud! With misty eyes, Kong Fan watched as the old man walked into the community and lingered by the car for a long time before finally leaving. 0

Until the old man's figure disappeared from sight did Kong Fan finally get into the car and drive away. 0

The trees wanted stillness but the wind wouldn't cease; children want to care for their parents but time waits for no one. It seemed he needed to spend more time fishing with the old man in the future! Resolving this in his heart, Kong Fan often reminisced about how it felt when he caught fish earlier that morning. 0

Old man, this fish is big! How many pounds is it? Did you catch it? 0
